combine files slow speed on network drive
Our PDFs are stored on a network drive. All tests were run with the company VPN on. On site we are seeing combine speeds of ~90mbps. Off site with a 1gbps up/down connection we are seeing PDF combine speeds of ~5mbps. This was tested with 5 different users on 5 different machines. The VPN/firewall are not slowing traffic. We are able to read/write to the file server at ~500mbps.

Read out loud pauses after each word for some documents
The 'Reader' of read out loud pauses after each word for some documents.
It is not the issue of 'Read out loud', but of the document itself. The document creation is done such that the words appear like normal text in the pdf, but when the 'Reader' reads it, it appears to the 'Reader' as if each word is on a new line and it considers each word to be a new paragraph, hence, stops after each word. This is the reason for this bug (well, not actually a bug from your side).Remedies might be:
1. The 'Reader' can be asked to check for such an issue and if it finds the entire document to be like this, then it can discard the newline characters and treat the words to form a sentence until the end-of-sentence is encountered.
2. Or you can just introduce a feature to select the duration of pause. If a user feels that the 'Reader' is pausing between words, they might choose to shorten the pause duration.Hope to see it resolved soon.

What happened to the tool ribbon at the top of the page? Now we have to navigate by mouse to the 'All Tools' menu which is a hassle. Also, the editable moveable tool ribbon only allows 3 or 4 custom tools.

organizing pages by typing new page number as an option
with multiple pdfs, each over 50 pages long, to drag and scroll to move the pages to their correct location is a huge hassle. Can you find a way where the pages can be organized by selecting a page or range of pages and reassigning the page/range location? please and thank you

+ Create is misplaced
The new "+ Create" button on the right side of the tabs is totally misplaced. It opens a popup that gets in the way when you want to move the window, if you have a lot of tabs open, which I usually do. The more logical place for it would definitely be in the toolbar below. It's just annoying and makes me want to install another reader.

New Layout is Counterproductive
New layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.
I, as well as many other users I know, am using Bookmarks and Pages in at least 95% of times when I use Reader. Therefore, they should be placed on the left, where they are expected to be (it is simply a standard for similar "master-detail" situations).
Also, primary tools, like paging, zoom-in and -out, are placed in a bottom-right corner, just like they were hiding?! But these are the basic tools, and they must be placed centrally, either on top or on the bottom of the screen.
On the other hand, toolbar with tools for commenting, highlighting, etc. is placed on the left side, taking unproportionally too much space on the screen, while it should be placed where toolbars usually are. I'm using these tools practically in less than 1% of times, so their current position is just annoying.
There must be corresponding options, allowing users to customize positions of these UI elements, so we can place them to best suit out everyday needs.New layout of Adobe Reader is utterly counterproductive, and makes everyday use of Adobe Reader much slower and confusing.

I tire of having to re learn how to do things that were one key stroke or mouse click operations but now are 2 hand tasks or impossible to do. Why is it so important to change look and feel to "be like" google or microsoft or apple?

Fields do not auto-merge when combing multiply documents
When you are given several PDFs that have fillable fields and are all filled in with different information it would be optional to prevent the fields to merge.
Example
Doc 1 has a field for name filled in with Tom
Doc 2 has a field for name filled in with Dan
when the two documents are combined Name should not merge to be Tom for everybody.1 vote -

Acrobat Reader does not maintain position in documents and loses settings
Hello,
I have been using Acrobat Reader from Day 1 in the 1990s until today, and it remains my first choice for PDF documents.
I often have 20-30 manuals open during my workday and I depend on the option to keep position in the documents so that when I open Acrobat Reader in the morning, I expect to be able to pick up where I left off.
Lately (last year or so) Acroread has been losing my position in some but not all of the documents. And it does not retain the view (page size, 2 up) and very recently started not to open the bookmark frame (on the left, where it belongs! since I don't like or use the "new" broken UI) at all in some documents. In others, it does.
This is extremely annoying and wastes my time. I find it difficult to understand how the QA guys have not observed this and how it remains broken for such a long period.
Somebody please fix this ASAP, so Acroread can remain as the best PDF reader.
Thank you.

Stop taking up document real-estate with menus!
All menus should stay at the TOP out of the way, not all over the sides eating up my document real-estate. And now there's a FLOATING MENU RIGHT ON TOP OF MY DOCUMENT that I cannot get rid of. A moderator commented - Choose Help/Check for Updates, and update your acrobat and that floating menu will be docked again. But it says NO UPDATE AVAILABLE.
PLEASE leave the user interface CONFIGURABLE so we can set it up the way we need.I long for the old days when the Acrobat interface was open and simple... instead of trying to cram all of your new features in our faces impeding our work.

All docs open in tabs - STOP IT!
How can I escape the default of all docs opening in tabs within one window? That does not suit my drafting needs AT ALL. I need them to open in separate windows & I can't figure out how to set that up. HELP.

text selection broken
Acrobat Pro does not always allow the text selection tool to actually select text (in OCR'd or otherwise readable text distilled from a Word doc or whatever). Quitting the app then restarting solves the problem, temporarily, but later the bug returns. There are threads about this on Reddit and other places. I am not able to produce a screenshot because I cannot capture a picture of Acrobat not allowing the selection tool to work.

Issues with Print to PDF
I work at a place that uses Adobe Acrobat Pro for all our documents all day long. We are constantly filling out the text boxes on our forms and then printing and restricting our printed docs. Ever since the last few updates this process has gotten more and more buggy to the point where it's halted out daily operations a few times and we've had to figure out a workaround. Initially, Adobe print to PDF was working inconsistently. It wasn't replacing the document I needed it to replace in my files, and even if it did, and my new printed document popped up, once I went to go restrict, the whole document would break. It would go black and say there was an error saving this document so I have no choice but to delete the file and try printing the original doc again. Now, Adobe print to PDF doesn't work at all. Nothing happens when clicked. We've had to start using Microsoft print to PDF which is worse. It takes really long, and doesn't automatically bring up our new printed document. Please fix all these issues, it has made our job much more difficult.

Outlook hang
Outlook 365 has been hanging for months when started and when trying to print emails. Outlook support suggested starting in Safe mode and removing Addins.
The only AddIn was Adobe PDFMaker Office Com Addin.
When I removed it Outlook did not hang anymore.

REFUND SUBSCRIPTIONS IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE THE SERVICES YOU HAVE PROMISED
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND REFUND US FOR THE LACK OF SERVICES WE HAVE PAID FOR!
The whole service has become unreliable over the past year. What is the point of subscriptions if files are lost or left unsaved or your told the service is not working at the moment. The whole point of having Adobe is to read, highlight, update and save. No point otehrwise.

Crash on close
Acrobat Pro 2023.008.20533 crashes consistently on close if the General preference "Show Home screen when all documents are closed" is unchecked. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat, but the problem returns every time I uncheck the Home Screen option.

Page move enhancement
For large documents (e.g. 50 or 100 pages+), moving a page by drag and drop is a) laborious and b) inefficient. Instead, it be better to be prompted where to move it and, as a bonus, ask for "Before" or "After" for exactness. Other PDF products (e.g. Kofax Power PDF Advanced) offers these options.
