read mode
Would be nice to be able to highlight words, sentences, or sections while in read mode. Give it a more realistic feel and allow you to read and mark important sections.

Allow activation on 3 devices simultaneously for Acrobat.
Allow simultaneous license activation on 3 devices. Limit it to Acrobat, or Acrobat Reader. Have the end user register their 3 devices.
As of 2020, many people work remotely and on multiple devices: tablet, laptop, desktop. Further many people switch between the two very rapidly - for example: An Architect may review designs on the desktop, switch to a laptop for a meeting and contract signature, leave the laptop at the office, and take the tablet to the field (with no internet/reception) to make in-field review. The software is known to close/freeze in order to check-in/validate online & switch device activation. This impacts Adobe's customer workflow, time, credibility, and has a quantifiable dollar impact.
Having to signout/signin each time a device is switched is time consuming and this adobe process adds cost and negative goodwill to the consumer. Therefore, alow Adobe acrobat (a ubiquitous software) to run on multiple registered devices.

PDF file does not open on initial double-click
Reopen closed PDFs (pop-up)
Acrobat closed abruptly. You can restore the PDFs you had open.It closed abruptly because I clicked the (X) in the top right of the application to close the app., while it was apparently doing some other function and not paying attention to the GUI.
There seems to be too much extra communication and file parsing happening, when I only want to OPEN the PDF.
How can I remove this "feature", so that the application responds to me, rather than attempting to determine what I want ?3 votes -
Default language set to English with Arabic support on Adobe Pro
After re-installing Adobe Pro due to problems with crashing, when adding text to a PDF document, typing a colon or number would result in the digits moving to the left of all the text and appearing in a non-English font. On googling the issue, I found a thread referring to the fact that the Language default in Preferences may be set to "English with Arabic support" with all options for "Editing in Middle Eastern Languages" toggled on. This was the case for me and I reset the Application Language Preference to Same as operating system and toggled the Middle Eastern Languages options to off. Adobe needs to ensure the default language matches the user's region.

Frustrating to find things - especially commenting
I probably don't use this feature like many do, but I used to use the 'comment' feature on my touchscreen to annotate notes with a stylus. As a teacher, I like to project the notes I've typed and write on screen with the pen. With the new update, it's hard to find all of the controls to do this. I've managed to find some, but it's not a straightforward.

Split Comment and NAV Panes
The current UI does not allow to use the NAV pane simultaneously to the Comments Pane. For large documents this is required when commenting on the document. In the previous UI this was possible.

Bug: Fill&Sign signature lost/forgotten
After openening a document to sign on Adobe Acrobat and clicking on Fill&Sign, my signatures that I created long ago and have used many times were just gone, the only options are to create new ones. I created the existing ones on another laptop long ago for which I had a pen and could create good looking signatures, I don't have those tools anymore.
I tried restarting the app which had the same issue. Then I signed out of my Adobe account and logged back in (within the Adobe Acrobat app) and that made no difference. I logged in online on a browser and there is also no signatures, I tried another laptop with no success.
I believe the signatures should have been stored in the cloud because I moved between laptops and Adobe remembered my signatures.
Now they are just gone.

Scrolling is not working in Portfolio!
Can't scroll at all in Pdf Portfolio! Scroll bar is missing. Updated Acrobat, changed plan, reset, restart. Nothing helps! Scroll bar disappears on the very first stage - adding files to the portfolio. After portfolio is created scroll bar disappears again.

Acrobat UI
At every major update, the Acrobat Pro UI is getting more and more confusing. None of the standard OS behaviors are respected. I tried to modify the toolbar on Mac (version 2023.0001), impossible to move an icon anywhere.

Adobe Acrobat Glitching
Adobe Acrobat keeps freezing - every time the app is opened the PDF glitches and the screen doesnt allow you to click on anything and you have to force shut it down.

freezes
Acrobat is so buggy and should be rewriten. The cache always fills up when doing CTRL F in a document and stops working. It constantly crashes when viewing multiple 200 mb documents at once or long books.

Acrobat 2023.006.20320 slowness/screen rendering death loop when zooming in
Acrobat 2023.006.20320 is slow to render when zooming in. Also when viewing a document with large dimensions like a banner or a large sign Acrobat will try to render the view but either fails to render all elements after a long time or it will keep looping trying to render portions of the screen, it looks like white boxes appearing then disappearing and just keeps looping and never finishes rendering. The only way to make it stop is to close the document or force quit Acrobat. Just zoom in to reproduce.

Keyboard shortcuts
The ability to customise keyboard shortcuts, despite what some of your staff seem to think, is an important accessibility feature.
I find what Adobe can do amazing, it's however very held back by its poor usability. Among the worst example is the fact that commonly used shortcuts, which have the same function for almost all other apps, for some reason have different functions in Acrobat. The number of times that an incorrect shortcut has interrupted the flow of work (because, of course, I can't find the well-hidden tool that will fix the problem I'd just inadvertently created) means that quite often, I use Adobe only to import a document to Word where I can complete my editing in a more functional environment. Given shortcuts are such a base feature, the reason why many people aren't complaining may be because they just switch to different software. The ability to customise keyboard shortcuts, despite what some of your staff seem to think, is an important accessibility feature.

Persist display configuration
When I view a document in Acrobat Reader, I always want a standard default, which is single page view, fill to height, disable scrolling. The trouble is, the application never remembers this; every time I open a document I have to repeat the same sequence of control interactions to set it up the way I want. This is an unproductive waste of my time which could be mitigated by either automatically remembering my display configuration or giving me a control by which I can manually tell the application to remember my configuration as a default.

issue document to multiple signers through workflow
Would like to kick off workflow to send same document to multiple signers, so it would essentially generate multiple documents out for signature by starting from one workflow.

where did the title bar go
Where did the title bar go in Adobe Acrobat Pro? First you raise the price, then you update the program and took away the title bar. Horrible new design. Please bring back the ability of paying customers to show the title bar (File, Edit, Sign, Window, Help). Thank you.

New icon in the toolbar
It would be very interesting to have an icon in the toolbar to activate "Show cover page in two pages mode", this would avoid going through a menu.
