BUG: Edit PDF feature in Acrobat v23 is very difficult to use now
I don't mind the new interface, but there are so many bugs in the latest Acrobat update that I'm not able to use the Edit PDF tool outside of very simple tasks. Here's some of the things I'm not able to do now,
- I'm not able to select multiple objects, text boxes, etc. with the Shift key
- I'm not able to select multiple items by dragging the mouse over several objects, text boxes, etc.
- When I try to add text on top of an existing text box (like a line on a form), the new text box is now added inside of the existing one and then everything in the existing text box is moved around. So I have to create the new text box in a blank space and then move it. And then later after the new text box is moved over the existing text box, Acrobat seems to not understand what I've done and there will be missing letters or duplicate letters from that new text box.
As I mentioned, there are other issues. These are just some of the more recent bugs I've seen. It's forcing me to completely recreate the document in word or excel and then make it into a new PDF. Please make updates to get back to the functionality from the previous Edit PDF version.

ALWAYS DEFAULT TO HAND TOOL OR SELECT TOOL - USER PREFERENCE
Make a reliable way for users to set a default for either the "pan" or "text selection" tools. You will see both issues have been raised in online help forums and suggested on this platform.
I use Acrobat mostly for reading documents. I am so tired of inadvertantly highlighting text or selecting images every time I left click and drag the mouse in an effort to pan because the system defaults to the Select tool rather than the Pan tool.
YES - I have deselected "Always display the keyboard selection cursor" under Accessibility.
YES - I have selected "Make Hand tool select text & images" and "Make Hand tool read articles" under General.
YES - I've read support articles that repeatedly instruct users that the above steps will resolve the issue.
NO - Taking the above steps does not resolve the issue on my machine.
YES - I am a paying subscriber.
NO - I'm probably not a moron. I do have a couple engineering degrees.
NO - I never take the time to engage large corporate companies.
YES - I am so very tired of screwing around with this obvious software problem.
NO - I shouldn't have to fish through the registry to remedy this problem.
PLEASE FIX this bug!

E-Sign Scammers
Scammers pose as clients to get a hold of the documents we send for signing. It should be an option to turn off automatic send documents after signing and I should be able to control who I allow to be able to download a copy at any point of the signing process. I need to be able to verify the persons identity who filled in the document and signed it before they get a copy of any documents or be able to download the documents. Can these options be put in a future update?

Total Number of Pages - Bug
I think this is a bug, or maybe something wrong with my display settings.
The Total Number of Pages in the toolbar only shows up to 4 characters. The current page box doesn't show the full number either but at least there are dots to indicate something is not being shown.
Attached is an example where the file contains 40,000 pages but only shows as 4000.

Fields deleted when I Request ESignatures
When I click "Request E-Signatures", it randomly deletes fields on the next page. Before I have a chance to do anything, the undo button is active, and so far I've seen anywhere for 2 to 30 steps of undo that can be clicked to restore fields that deleted automatically after I clicked "Request E-Signatures". It also deactivates my ability to fill pre-fill cells before it sends. Right now, it just sends out without asking me what to put in pre-fill fields.

Bug: tick cannot be removed
Tick cannot be removed with arrow-tool.
Like on every other normal application i can use the arrow tool to mark something and - in this case - to delete it (like pressing the delete-button or use the basket-sign). Except here in acrobat. I have to use the tick-option to remove ticks. When i use the arrow-tool i can see the basket-sign, but i can't reach it. Please be free and look at the video i've uploaded with this Bug report, so you can see what i mean.

P.s. How can I prevent the user from giving feedback? Use Uservoice. You can enter the entire description, you can upload any feedback-information, and after you found out, that you can't publish your idea without logging in, you have to create an account and lost everything you've wrote in there. The "magic" securitycode is the top of the bad thing here. I was prompted to enter the security-code from production. I had to search, because there is no app from "magic" and no code in the adobe environment. I found the code on the tab
before, so i discovered, that "production" means the site where i wanted to create an account. After all i 've decided to report the bug at all, because the bug is annoying.Tick cannot be removed with arrow-tool.

Absolutely horrendous performance while zooming / scrolling
Less idea than general feedback below.
I've found adobe acrobat to be a fantastic pdf editor, however, on nearly every occasion i use it I notice there is a considerable performance issue when scrolling through documents.
Vertical scrolling is usually fine, although sluggish, however scrolling side to side nearly always results in there being so much lag, by the time i finish scrolling on the mouse there is about a minute of slow page movement.
This is exasperated when zoomed in where it becomes almost unusable to navigate around a document.
I'm using a very powerful gaming laptop, and many of my colloueges on other computers have the same issue, so it isn't a hardware issue.
Please fix.

The program "upgrade" is glitchy and difficult to work with. How can I uninstall to get back to prior version.
The new program upgrade of Adobe Acrobat is glitchy and difficult to work with. Request signatures is a nightmare for recipients. Asks people to sign agreement.
I am requesting them to sign tax returns.Please bring back the prior version.

email attachment button
The email as an attachment button is no longer available on the menu bar (Adobe Acrobat Pro V 2023.006.20320).
Now, one needs to press SHARE then wait for the options to click the email button. Can the SHARE button be available as a side panel, full menu bar or allow customization of the menu bar.
Currently, steps have been added that waste lots of time.

quick action toolbar covers edge of document
The new quick action tool bar floats over the document covering contents. the panning of the document is also limited to the edge of the "paper" so these contents cannot be seen without zooming far in or far out.
This could be overcome if the display allowed for a buffer space around the page so the view could be drug past the edge of the paper. This way the document could be drug out from under the quick action toolbar.

Why did i sign up for acrobat pro. Since i signed up there has been an "Update to key features" that hasn't stopped and now I can't even use the application as originally intended. Will be cancelling and using another program if i cant get it fixed

Prevent Google Drive from removing security features of a PDF document
I noticed that, after setting security features on a PDF (such as setting password to block copying and printing) and then uploading to Google Drive, there's a way that others can remove the features. I uploaded a secured PDF document to Google Drive. I can choose to print the document from Google Drive, and all the security features set previously are going. Hope Adobe can look into this issue soon.
