Fails to convert Word to PDF
Steps to reproduce issue: Open word, click "create and share Adobe PDF" wait for 5 min. receive error message. Repeat. It is pretty regular event. Lately its 90% of the time I try. When the product works it produces a beautiful PDF, and when it does not it produces nothing. Considering that my work requires this regularly, it is rather frustrating. To have something I pay $20 a month for, not work.

Show locked (new June 2023 Acrobat DC)
The now "old" Acrobat used to show a big lock icon on a locked PDF, above the page display column. VERY useful. Now with the new and "improved" interface, that icon is gone. How about bringing that back, JUST so one can tell at a glance the security status of a PDF. Thanks.

Don't make a super complicated app if you can't code it to not crash when you try using it
This desktop app for adobe pro is so glitchy. I can't make more than 2 changes without the entire thing freezing and then quiting. It is so slow and frustrating to work on PDFs and edit them

BUG: Named Destinations not found if strings are in a different format
Adobe Acrobat Reader/Standard/Pro
Tested on:
Pro DC 2023.003.20244 (x86)
2020 Std. 2020.005.30467
assuming Reader has the prblem, tooClicking on a link Annotation with an internal Named Destination target fails to navivate if the string encodings of the "Dest" in the "Annots" array element does not match the encoding of the string "key" in the "Names" array in the document catalog. Chrome and Edge do not have this problem. Acrobat behavior does not conform to the PDF Reference.
See attached screen shots for details of Names and Annots array.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open The Attached .pdf
- Page 1 contains 3 links, click on each
- The link under "Unicode Text" works correctly.
- The links under "To Page 2" and "To Page 3" do not. This has a large impact on some of our customers, they have thousands of documents with this kind of links.

Help Menu should be accessible REGARDLESS of sign in status
The Help menu should be accessible even if the user is signed out of the software. The help menu allows us to update the software to latest version, repair the software, get help, and show status. These are all important to our IT team, which in the course of regular business, needs to log into users computers (with their own IT domain user account, not the users) to perform upgrades or repairs. The IT team should not have to ask the user for their login to do so. For example, if I log into a user’s computer using my domain account, I have to either race to click on HELP > CHECK FOR UPDATES before the "log in to adobe" window blocks me, or I have to log into Acrobat by using my personal Adobe log in. Not helpful and not optimal.
Both of these situations are poor workarounds, and really, I should be able to update the software without logging in.
Microsoft 365 started out the same way, but quickly realized they were hindering IT professionals from day-to-day software fixes, and they now allow users to update the software without logging in. They also allow for a “Read Only" mode which would also be a great thing to have. If a user is not logged into Acrobat, why shouldn't it function in a read-only mode, akin to Adobe Reader? It would be wonderful, and would not give away anything for free, it doesn't encroach on your business model, and it would be a pleasure for the IT teams that have to work on your software on behalf of their users.

Refresh button for E-signatures/Agreements
I would love to see refresh button to check for recently signed documents/agreements. I find the delay can be lengthily and often even require me to exit the application and reopen in order for Adobe to register a newly signed document/agreement. Most often I have to retrieve the signed document from my email after not being able to retrieve it within the Adobe PC application, due to the delay in the application recognizing the newly signed document.

crash / freeze problem:
I have a large-ish document (ca. 50 MByte, 7000 pages, it's an IEEE standard; doc was made in FrameMaker and in 2022 year) .
No small documents don't have this problem.
So:
Open it in Acrobat and select over a section of a table (table is wholly on 1 page).
Then "Copy with Formatting"...
Acrobat sort-of hangs, whith the "Copying to clipboard" (or something like that) window forever on top and not closing for minutes.
Document is indexed, no clue if that matters.
(The PC is Dell i9 laptop, 32 GB of DRAM, disks < 90% full (1T, 2T disks)

View revised text after editing with strikethru/insert text/replace text
After marking up edits (using the Comments tools of Strikethrough, Replace text and Insert text) in PDF proofs generated by InDesign, I want to be able to view and copy the edited text as it will now apppear, without the mark-up. This is because it is extremely difficult to read and understand the result of numerous complex edits in the PDF, and also I want to send the revised text to other people to check that the final version reads ok. So I envisage it as selecting the edited text in the PDF and being able to copy and paste it into a text box or sticky note in its new revised form. And also be able to paste it into emails and Word docs.

bizarre saving behavior by Acrobat Pro with one particular file
For what it’s worth, this is coming from a guy that used to be kenc@microsoft.com (1988-97) – “Ken C-is-for-Chart”, they called me (an area I was responsible for in Works and just a bit in Excel) – Microsoft, where half the folks I worked with were, like the agent today, from India! And it has occurred to me, as I have observed the program behavior detailed in the accompanying doc file, that hey, if I were the programmer on the other end of the program – Acrobat, in this case – I would want to know about this behavior!
Given that this web page offers file uploading, I guess the only (only??) roadblock possibly remaining is whether it will allow uploading this unique file, at all of 175Mb!...?
Since I am submitting this “idea” – to be considered a bug, presumably, since clearly Acrobat is not behaving the way anyone would like it to! – submitting while signed in on UserVoice, one would hope that if the big file doesn’t “go”, sign-in info will be available to Adobe? such that you can contact me, hopefully with another way to get you the file? …as I said, in some way it is “unique” in causing this, ahem, untoward behavior.
So here goes, uploading the details in “Save problem description.docx”, and trying to upload “Chinese-English Dictionary (Giles, 1892, 1912).pdf”.
Well... the big file it seems didn't "go", but also without any rejection notice or report of failure. By the way, lastly – if it turns out that someone is interested in this! – that file contains no personal information, only highlighting and bookmarking of various dictionary entries. And the file (1912, scanned and somehow OCRd, including the Chinese, in the original) originally came from archive.org at https://archive.org/details/b31352583/page/552/mode/2up (just verified). Yeah, one more thing, without re-editing the attached file: That file mentions the versions of Acrobat involved, but does not mention that my machine is running Windows 10, my wife's Windows 11, with the same "bizarre" behavior. :-)

Auto-bookmarking highlights
When highlighting, offer the highlight to be bookmarked.
Highlighting is done to something worthy of attention and therefore having need for later recall and return. I am reading a 200 page document and I have liberally highlighted interesting parts of the text, many on the same page. Now how do I revisit those highlighted parts? I am having to scroll through the entire document page by page in full page view to do that. A bookmark created while highlighting would serve that purpose perfectly. The name of the bookmark would be entered by the user if he wishes (some default otherwise, eg, H1, H2) and should have the line number + page number combination offered as a suffix for the user to optionally prepend his name to (hopefully no-one would have two separate highlights on the same line), eg, "Design Pedagogy - l.15 p.59" could be the name of the bookmarked highlight that talks about Design Pedagogy. The part from the hyphen onwards would be offered by Acrobat. Or else one would need a Search-First-Prev-Next-Last method for hopping between highlights also. But named highlights as bookmarks are far better, they allow me to refer to the highlights and navigate to them too. If I don't want to name the highlight (for a one-page document, for example), the naming default, eg, H1, H2 would be used.
Of course, all bookmarks should be shown in the list in the order of destination.

Possibility to save PDF
If I open a PDF through the File Explorer (File library) and still have the file chosen in File Explorer (Highlighted in Explorer) it is not possible to save the file after commenting or editing. (another user may have the file open ...)
Please make it possible to save a PDF even if it is highlighted in File Explorer, since this a normal way of working with PDFs.3 votes -
scan dialog
Request: Improve dialog for scanning settings
Pain Point: When scanning documents, I sometimes need to select single-sided scanning and other times 2-sided scanning. It is cumbersome to have to click on the "gear icon" for document type, e.g., color and then also have to click on a very small option for 1 or 2-sided scanning.
Desired result: Build in sets of radio buttons to quickly establish document type, color mode, e.g., color, gray or black and white, and 1 sided or 2 sided scanning.

Streamlining "Edit PDF" menu crop page range features in Adobe Acrobat
Hello Adobe,
I do a lot of cropping of pdf file pages in the Edit PDF menu and some steps I have to repeat over and over because often the text in each page is off-center, sometimes randomly. I would like to suggest some small improvements to streamline those steps.
In the Edit PDF tool "Crop Pages" setting, you select an area and double click it which opens the "Set Page Boxes" dialogue box. Under "Page Range" you determine which particular pages this cropping will affect.
IT WOULD BE GREAT if the number indicating the last page, after the "To" box, was clickable, so that when I want the page range to go to the last page, I can just click on that number and it will appear in the "To" box, rather than I have to manually enter the last page number each time.
ALSO IT WOULD BE GREAT if the "Apply to" field was not a drop down menu, but all three choices "Even and odd pages", "Odd pages only" and "Even pages only" were readily clickable as buttons, thus saving one step of having to fold out the drop down menu.I do these steps with most PDF's I get, so the small changes I propose, will help the workflow a lot.
Thank you
Benjamin

Scrolling prevents login
Scolling on a pdf when opening it prevents login.
Steps to reproduce:
If you open a pdf and click on the scrollbar and move it up and down login will not be done while you keep moving the bar, same think for the mouse wheel, if you keep moving the mouse wheel the login will not take place thus delaying access to features.2 votes -
