[BUG] Some Files Attached To PDF Cannot be Loaded or Saved With Certain Names.
Bug: PDF Attachments of Certain Names Cannot Be Loaded or Saved.
Factors: The Bug does not exist in other reader programs. Attachment files of all names are accessible in both Foxit Reader and Mozilla Firefox. That is to say, the error pdf attached works as intended in those programs. Because of this, we doubt this is a symptom of our PDF creation tools. We deduce it is only an issue of Adobe's Acrobat Products.
Process: The PDFs in question (Attached Error and Working) were created using pdf-lib in JavaScript. The file data was downloaded in a JavaScript Environment and Packaged via pdf-lib's "attach" method. In the attached working pdf, the files were attached with a generic name based on the order received (format: myFile[i].pdf). In the attached error pdf, the name was gathered from a received JSON object, then mapped as a parameter of the "attach" method. Both contain the same file data, with different file names. In both cases, the data integrity was verified by loading the data as the blob came in, prior to attachment. Finally, we passed in the string directly via a string literal, rather than the derived JSON name, with the same results. When accessing from Acrobat, the working pdf opens all attached files as intended. When the error pdf is accessed in Acrobat, attempting to open some (but not all) files will not result in the file opening. Attempting to save those files to another folder will result in an error (image attached).
Version(s) Verified: Acrobat Reader 2022.003.20322, Acrobat Pro DC (Classic) 2015.006.30527

(Use Overprint Preview: Always) render time = 7 sec.
I have a 29 k PDF file that has overprinting objects. With my preferences set:
Page Display > Use Overprint Preview: Always
the file opens not showing the overprint, and 7 seconds later, the overprint renders correctly. It seems that this render should be a highest priority, rather than opening with one view, then changing, it should wait until the render is complete before showing me a false view.1 vote -

Add option to change the default "sign in order"
There needs to be an option to change the default option from "sign in order" to "sign in any order".
In our operational workflows we never use the sign in order function and have to constantly change it before sending out a request for signatures. If this step is missed we have to resend the entire document as it is not allowed to be edited after the fact. This is fine but give us the option to make "complete in any order" by default.

Acrobat UI: Improve message text of "You do not have access to this feature. Please contact your IT admin for more details."
The message which is shown when users are not signed in to Acrobat or do not have a license of the selected feature they are clicking on, is confusing many users. This leads to many calls at our Service Desk Hotline. It would help a lot to change the text to explain that the user does not have access to this feature because it seems that he/she does not have a license or is not signed in with his license. In case that a license is available please Sign in.

Problem with extracting pages - images are not removed from the target file
There is a problem with extracting single pages from particular PDF documments. Attaching the test.pdf file.
Extracting a single page from it (view->tools->Organize Pages->Open and you can do a drag & drop page to windows explorer) we are getting a pdf file with same file size as original but with only one page.
It seems that its not removing all jpegs from the file.
Attaching also sample file with extracted one page.Files are generated by FPDF library and got a replay on their forum: "That's probably because FPDF uses the same Resources dictionary (containing all images) for all pages"
Doing a File->Save AS fixes the file size but it must be taken as additional action on extracting a page and its a bit problematic for non-technical people.

Acrobat freezes when closing minimized PDF from taskbar thumbnail
- In preferences uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup. (This is a requirement for one of our business application Acrobat plug-ins)
- Minimize a PDF file that has been modified but not yet saved.
- Hover your mouse over the taskbar thumbnail of the PDF, but don't restore the window, then click the x from the thumbnail to close the file.
Acrobat freezes as the prompt to save changes pop up windows opens.
Tested on Acrobat Pro 32 bit version 2022.003.20322 and on Acrobat Reader.
Windows 10 21H2 with Feb 2023 Windows updates installed.
Reproduced on multiple laptops and desktop PCs and under different user accounts.

Make comments pane only show text comments
I want to be able to see my sticky notes comments at a glance without having "highlighted text" comments clogging the pane. But I still need to have the highlights appear in the document itself. Filtering in the comments pane makes those disappear. Can we get the option to make the filter apply only to the pane? I'm sick of scrolling through hundreds of "highlighted text."

AdobeSign message if you exit document without completing your signature
When a signatory is asked to sign via AdobeSign, I have found that they often exit the program without actually signing the document (we often need signatures from people who can be a bit technophobic!)
I think there are three tweaks that would help prevent this:
1) that the flags would stay in the document until the are acted upon (at present, they seem to disappear within a few seconds)
2) that if a signatory tries to exit the program, a pop-up message could say, do you wish to really exit with signing? the signatory could confirm yes or no
3) if the signatory confirms yes, a pop-up message could inform them that they need to click the blue apply signature buttons in two separate screens to record their e-signature
Thank you for your kind review and I hope that this might spark some helpful changes to AdobeSign for our users.

Bug & Feature request: Tiled view
When you open multiple PDFs, they're shown as tabs in the same Acrobat window. If you would then switch to tiled view (Shift+Ctrl+l) they become split into separate windows. That's odd.
Bug: Ctrl+Shift+l is supposed to place them side by side, in a row, but they're tiled on the screen, so that 4 PDFs are distributed in 2x2.
Feature request: do not split the tiled view into separate windows. Do the same as in Indesign. 2 up vertical etc., all in one window. Why? If you want to have them back into one window again there is no action for that. You would have to pick a window and drag the other windows's tabs into it. That's pretty annoying.

Email confirmation
As folks fill out a web form, the additional step of having to click a link in your email to finish the submission is a pain and I would prefer being to turn that off.

Scale page fixup does not scale link area, so the links in scaled PDF are not working
Input: A4 PDF file with active link, like document links from TOC entries in TOC of PDF exported from Microsoft Word Document
Action/steps: Apply page scale fixup to 70.7 percent to make a document A5 size
Observed result: Page content is scaled but link areas are not scaled so the TOC links and any other links are not working in resulting PDF file
Expected result: Scale page content and the hyperlink annotations too, so the links are still working in scaled document
Environment: Acrobat Pro 22.3.20263.0, Windows 10

(offer to) add PDF/UA flag to PDF when it passes the Accessibility Check
From reading the Adobe replies on the community forum, I understand that Adobe prefers not to add the PDF/UA 'flag' (an XMP identifier) automatically because accessibility conformance should involve manual checking.
I don't agree with this rationale.
Accessibility Check includes some steps which must be performed manually (e.g. color/contrast, read-order). The GUI offers a way to mark these steps as complete. It's a matter of trust. That's ok.
So let's say all tests are passed. Why not add the PDF/UA flag at that moment? Perhaps when all steps are passed, a query dialog could appear? Or just enable a checkbox in the save dialog? Something like that. Why not just make it easier?
The current process of adding the flag is poorly documented and error prone. Worse: Acrobat gives no hint that it needs to happen before a document is well-formed PDF/UA.
And what if I shift my process left, working with templates and design systems to make sure that my color/contrast is good, and that appropriate tags are being produced. What if my process generates dozens or hundreds of such documents?
Why should these all be checked manually? If there is way to automate this, please document it (with any caveats).

BioPharma compatability with Bulk Send in Adobe Sign
Bulk Send Identity Verification method not compatible with BioPharma settings enabled. Neither Acrobat Sign nor Phone authentication methods are allowed for Send in Bulk feature making it incompatible with BioPharma settings enabled. I cannot bulk send and also be Part 11 compliant with Adobe Sign. Please add this feature; it would make creating training records for my company much much easier.

Adobe Sign Workflow Designer Recipient List
I updated a workflow to shorten the list of signers. All of the existing workflows that were in progress broke due to this change - signers were not able to open and the workflows could not be completed. Our users had to cancel all workflows and start over again. The workflow designer should have a note to caution against changing the list of recipients for existing workflows. Or "in progress workflows" should follow the recipient list at the time the workflow was kicked off. Any new workflows will follow the new recipient list. This feature needs to be redesigned as it caused wasted hours for our entire company.

Edit text on template
When I want to change text on an existing template I currently have to upload a new template and start from scratch to add fields, etc. It would be very helpful to be able to edit existing text on the template, similar to Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Sign - field character limit
Form fields should have character limits. When a user types characters into a field, Adobe Sign allows unlimited characters. When the document is saved and sent for further signatures, the text is truncated and not visible to the next signer. If you place a character limit on the fields this would alleviate the problem.
