Acrobat Reader DC stopped working on Windows 10 PC no error message
Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working on my PC (Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H2). The last time it worked I was writing in LaTeX (Distribution: MikTex, Editor: Texmaker). Acrobat Reader worked fine for a long time even when writing in LaTeX. But somehow it suddenly stopped. I tried reinstalling Acrobat Reader, tried some workarounds in the registry, messed with some file names, tried repairing it in windows programs and features and tried compatibility mode but nothing worked. I can't really imagine any way in which LaTeX would cause the Reader to crash. LaTeX outputs pdf files but the programs don't work together. What's weird too is that I don't get an error message. I click on the Reader shortcut, than the loading icon pops up for a split second, than nothing happens. Viewing pdf files on my browser works fine though. The last thing I tried was uninstalling Miktex and Texmaker. But that didn't solve my issue.

Cannot save to this filename
We started seeing this Save error on 12/30/24 with no change on our end other than keeping Adobe Acrobat Pro and Reader up to date with current version (2024.005.20320 64-bit). PCs OS is both Windows 10 and 11 pro. Our network share is DFS but testing done on non-DFS storage doesn't exhibit this issue nor does local storage.
Users edit a file on their network share and click the Save diskette icon expecting for the changes to save. Instead, they get the following dialog boxes and the following error:Confirm Save As: Name.pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it? (Yes/No)
Adobe Acrobat: The document could not be saved. Cannot save to the filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.Followed by the Save As screen with a random filename ending in .tmp.
I understand that turning off Enhanced Security in Acrobat is the fix for this but that's not going to happen. I also understand this error has been reported as far back as 2013 and another issue with DFS and opening multiple PDFs has also been reported.I'm here today to inform Adobe and the community that this Save/Save As bug is back as of the last Adobe update. Testing we've done shows this is not a permissions issue. The error is reproducible at will. The number of folders deep the file is located isn't related.

Acrobat Reader update (September 9, 2025) cursor turns into a large black square and doesn't work
I'm using Windows 11, 64-bit. Auto-updated the other day and now I cannot use my cursor, it turns into a large black square. I tried reverting to the prior reader version but I wasn't successful. I tried capturing a screenshot but of course the square disappears with the print screen function.

HIDE BOOKMARKS PANE PERMANENTLY!
Please make an option in the preferences to be able to hide the Bookmarks pane permanently for all files that open in Adobe. It is not user friendly for that pane to open and having to close it for every single document I open. When I Googled a fix for this issue I've seen MANY complaints about this issue, some going back to 2022! This feature of the pane opening every single time when not needed, honestly makes me hate having to use Adobe.
Please fix this ASAP!!! Thank you!!

AdobeSign Classic interface is faster for most people
I wanted to simply voice my concern about how the new AdobeSign interface is clearly taking on the acrobat interface. The issue is that the new interface introduces addtiional steps that are slower and unnecessary for any case where you simply want to send a an existing document to be signed. The Classic interface allows me to send a document to as many people and myself with 4 steps in about 6 seconds
1) paste in semicolon delimitetd email list of people to receive (can be copied directly from outlook)
2) check the box to include myself as a signer.
3) drag the document(s) to the upload window
4)click send.
There are no additional page loads, or file verifications, pasting individual emails addressed or any of that, the separate upload pages and reload of web pages is multiple times slower.
It is great that there is an option to do all of these other feature and steps, but when you take a simple signature request from 6 second to 30 seconds, you have to understand that most of the time all you are doing is slowing things down. It feels clunky and unecessary, not to mention seeing that all of the information looks correct on one screen before you hit send is natural. The fact that you can easily opt to add signatures, or change the document names, or add a note with optional ease are just bonuses. It is fine to improve on things, but understand that if I need to send out 30 documents you are adding 20 minutes to my day for no reason when most of them are pre-made PDF's with all of the tags already in place for sigs and things. J

I am sick & tired of having to authenticate when I just want to use acrobat as reader. On some platforms you can't have both loaded, acrobat reader and acrobat pro.

These new moronic millennial programers have no idea what real world use people are engaged in using the applications they work on. A case in point is the continual prevention for users to install Reader and Acrobat on the same computer. Assume for a moment one is a forms developer who creates hundreds of forms as an employee of a large corporation or a designer serving many clients. EVERY SINGLE BLOODY FORM one creates in Acrobat MUST be tested in Adobe Reader BEFORE deploying the form. So what have you morons at Adobe forced us to do? We just recommend to forms designers that they use either FoxIt or Nitro PDF. Hence, you're forcing us to promote and market your competitor's products because you just don't understand the needs of your users.

It would be incredibly helpful if Acrobat offered the ability to open weblinks in a new browser tab, similar to standard browser behavior. Specifically, when a link within a PDF points to another section of the same document or to a different PDF, right-clicking should include a “Open Link in New Tab” option.
This functionality is something users are familiar with in web browsers, and bringing it into Acrobat would make navigation smoother, especially when switching between pages or documents. It would enhance productivity and provide a more intuitive, user-friendly experience.

PDF text disappears in Acrobat Application but opens fine in Acrobat for web
Does anyone else have this issue of opening a PDF in the Acrobat application, and the text disappears, but when you open it in the Acrobat for web or in the preview app, its totally fine. Like what am I paying $25 a month for if the Web version is more reliable.

We need notification before updates begin that the update is scheduled, We need to be able to push updates to a time/day that won't negatively impact work.
At 9:30am pst on 9/11/25 while working, Adobe decided to start updates. No warning. Just did it. This led me to use another product because Adobe decided to update during the middle of the work morning, without notice, again.
If I have to use another product to do my work, why am I using Adobe Pro? Other softwares let me schedule when updates will occur or, at the least, give me warning. I'm really tired of losing work time while in the middle of a project due to a software decision. So maybe the answer is - instead of Adobe with Nitro as my back-up, I should just use Nitro full time. Bug solved.
