Document Cloud Upload and Link Generation Breaks with ">", "<" operators.
When uploading a document to document cloud in Adobe Acrobat DC, if the file name contains special characters ">" or "<" the upload and link creation fails and a link is not generated. The user receives an error "We weren't able to create the link. Please try again later.".
Solving for this would be to have the program strip these symbols or replace them with symbols that may not break the program.

Scaleable image fields or 'Fill proportionately'
Current image fields allows for entering a user specified image, but no ability to crop the image to fill the space proportionately.
When I create an an image field, I can currently specify that the user defined image fill to the bounds disproportionately (squashed to fit) or filling the space to the image's largest edge, but lacks the ability (like Indesign) to ‘fill space proportionately’ which results in the image being set to the outer limits of the frame and anything else being automatically masked.
I can see this working under the current system, specifically where the placement of the image can be moved about in the advanced settings. All that is lacking would be a scale handle or dialog box to enter a percentage scale.
This is similar to many online avatar creators where you can upload an image and then enlarge or move the image within the defined cropping.
As a designer, controlling the proportions and placements of images entered in user forms is pretty crucial. My only work around at the moment is to create boxes to the exact proportions of my end users camera, which is not always controllable.

Restore the "Add Attachment" option to browser-based shared review
In Acrobat Pro, you could send a document out for shared review.
This shared review was viewable and comment-able by everyone in your shared review.
The reviewers could do things like highlight text, underline, strikethrough, and the like.
Reviewers can still do this Acrobat Pro DC, but with one exception:
The "Add-Attachment" feature.
This feature has been removed from the browser-based review used in Acrobat Pro DC.
After spending three hours on with Adobe Support, we finally found a work-around that will allow it, but trying to explain this process to people who aren't good with computers is a total nonstarter.
They just want their "little paperclip icon" back.

error message when creating pdf
Today when I try to create a PDF from a word doc, I receive an error message when the word file opens that "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup."
I have not made any changes to my printer, printer drivers, word software or Adobe software.
I also get a similar error message when trying to create a PDF from a spreadsheet. Again, I haven't made any changes here.
What should I do? I am completely out of ideas.
Thank you,
Jim Ferrari

Issue: Moving fields that are partially or entirely offscreen recenters on top left corner of bottom-rightmost field in selected group
Say I have a 2x2 table of fields:
A1 A2
B1 B2
I've lassoed all four fields and have zoomed in so that only A1 and B1 are visible. I grab A1 and move it to the desired location. Immediately after I release A1, the view recenters on A2.
The relocation/recentering doesn't appear to be consistent but I haven't identified all the variables. It seems to mainly happen when fields that are selected but already offscreen (due to zoom level) are moved with the field that has been grabbed. It doesn't seem to happen if I move a group, where all fields are fully visible, to where they are partially offscreen, but, once I move that group again, the view will recenter again.
It tends to favor recentering on the bottom right field in the group of selected field, but I have not confirmed with certainty. The issue does not seem to require that the fields are aligned into a table as in my example.
Expected result: the same field that was "grabbed" by the mouse cursor is the one that remains in view
Appears to have started with the Feb 16 2021 update.

Acrobat Pro Home Screen
Please allow the user to turn off the home screen, so that we do not have to close it after every single PDF we look at. At the bare minimum allow us to use a keyboard shortcut to close the home screen. The fact that I have to actively close this needless window every single time makes it twice as annoying.

combine files for printing with even numbers of pages
I would like to be able to combine a batch of pdfs for printing that would insert a blank page after an odd-pages-containing file, so that when I print the whole batch, it prints well for insertion into a binder. When only one document is updated, only the single file can be printed for insertion. For example, Document A has three pages, but the combine feature would make it four pages so that when I print the binder, the next document starts on the first part of the next sheet.

"Mark up" PDFs -- not "edit"
Editing is not really the correct word. For millions of users, we simply want to "mark up" a PDF by, say, underlining a sentence. That was dead easy with Adobe Pro XI. Now seemingly impossible with DC. Constantly get image processing error messages. No customized user toolbars, as with Pro. Basically DC has been over-thought. 99% of users want the basic functionality of Adobe Pro XI.

Multiple Business Name / Sender Email Under One Account
We manage 8 different businesses under 1 roof, all needing forms to require e-signatures. Instead of all forms coming from our main email account, we think it would be good if you could set different Business Names and different Business email accounts so that when clients receive emails from us, they are receiving them from a familiar/relevant email, instead of the one we set up for our adobe sccount.

Acrobat PDF from Word 365 Outlined Level 1 Style Maps to Wrong Page in PDF
This issue applies to MS Word 365 with Acrobat DC Pro Add-in.
Word version: Microsoft® Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2201 Build 16.0.14827.20158) 64-bit
Adobe Acrobat DC version: 2022.001.20117
Background story:
When the MS Word 365 Acrobat add-in is used to create a PDF (with create from headings selected in the Adobe preferences), bookmarks are created in the PDF output navigation panel as expected (refer to fig 3), but some of the headings do not link to their correct page when you click on them (they all default to page 1, top of the document). The affected styles are not MS Word headings as such but custom styles with MS Word paragraph Outline Level set to Level 1.
In contrast, if I use the MS Word Save as PDF, the custom outline level 1 styles again appear in the PDF output navigation bookmarks and they all link to their correct pages in the PDF output document.
Three support screen shot files are attached to aid this post as follows:
Fig 1. word-custom template-outline-structure.jpg (this shows the basic structure of the source MS Word document).
Fig 2. word-acrobat-addin-preferences-set.jpg (this shows the Acrobat addin prefrences set to headings).
Fig 3. pdf-output-from-word-acrobat-addin-save-as-pdf.jpg (this shows the pdf output created from the source MS Word document. The Outline 1 style are all those above ‘List of Acronyms’.
This triggers the question, how does Acrobat DC Pro recognize a MS Word 365 style as a heading and what determines how it automatically maps to the correct page. Is this a bug or a feature? This issue applies to MS Word 365 with Acrobat DC Pro Add-in.
