  1. Federal Law (RULONA) requires that Remote Online Notaries (RONs) maintain a video recording of the notary (virtually) meeting with the signers of legal documents. The ability to e-sign, and add a notary stamp on a pdf form, gets us most of the way there, but Adobe is missing the video recording component. Is it in the works? There is a tremendous need for this product. A single RON closer or signing agent might use this 30 or more times per month!

  2. Productivity severely restricted due to no support to Hindi. Will not seek paid subscription after end of trial period. Will revert back to lower versions of Adobe Acrobat for limited use.

  3. When you load a pdf and save as a different name the thumbnail doesn't update even though the tab does (see images).

    Step1 - Open pdf
Choose File>Save As (choose a location to save in)
Step2 - Type a name for the file to be saved as, Click Save.
Step3 - The main application file name has changed.
Step4 - When you hover over the application thumbnail it never updates until you close / open the file

  4. Currently the dialog box for a batch OCR process shows the current file number and the total number of files, it then shows the current page number being worked on but it doesn't show the total number of pages in the current file so you don't know how long that particular file has left to do.

In addition, it would also be very useful to have an option to "Abort batch after current file complete"

  5. Acrobat Reader likes to auto-generate URLs and other links.
This is generally good for users, and they can turn it on or off.

However, there are times when distributing that clients don't want them. It is possible to change global settings, but it creates problems for bookmarks, internal links, and accessibility.

So, it would be great if there could be a feature to prevent the auto-generation of links in Acrobat, so only the ones that will exist are by design.

  6. On the Windows 10 desktop, if your view option in File Explorer is set to have a preview pane and the file you're working on is selected and being previewed, Acrobat will throw a dialog window that says: "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.".

The preview pane is causing Acrobat to assume the file is in use, which technically it is, but this is a bug that shouldn't cause a file saving error. Selecting another file in File Explorer fixes this…

  7. I want to use a Data Matrix Barcode field in a form in Acrobat Forms, like I do in LiveCycle Designer ES4. But here I get into trouble: DM-Barcode doesn't encode the German special chars! I get weird encodings instead of the char. The same entry in a QR-Code-Field works as expected!
Because ist works fine in LiveCycle Designer and in the QR-Code I assume this is a bug.
I found no solution to finetune the field to become German-friendly ;-)
I attach a quick and simple example-form (for use in Acrobat, not Reader, of course).

  8. Currently, it is possible to query the version number (app.viewerVersion), if its Pro/Standard/Reader (app.viewerType), and operating system (app.platform). However, I can't seem to find any way to read if its x86 or x64. Adding this seems like a logical next step for me with the release of 64-bit Adobe Acrobat.

  10. I simply want the global find-and-replace functionality found in most word processors to work on a PDF form. I have a 129-page application form in pdf format. It asks questions in form fields to which I respond in data fields. I wish to do a global replace of text in the data fields (say to change a name of a person/organisation). To do so, I have to take several steps which have very undesirable side-effects. I have to flatten the file. I can now use replace, but... the look-and-feel of the original document is significantly altered, the auto-orientate feature of…

  13. please add a functionality that allows you to open a cross-reference to a point within the same document in a new tab/window. currently when you click a cross-reference the reader jumps to the linked section in the document and the current position where the link was clicked from gets lost. this happens a lot of times when you read a scientific script for example and there are references to figures/tables on a different page. every time you click a link and you want to go back afterwards it takes a lot of time to scroll back to the origin page.…

  15. I'd like to be able to enter in one fillable field "FirstName MiddleName LastName" and have it auto populate 3 fields for First, Middle, and Last. Or enter into one fillable field 123456789 and have it auto populate three fields with 123, 456, and 789. I've been searching for a script to do that and can't find anything.

  16. I ask clients to complete detailed forms in excess of 6 pages. The form usually cannot be completed in one sitting, and client's often have questions. I would like to:
    - collaborate with my client and assist in completing the form online,
    - review the form to make sure it is complete before signing
    - allow the client to save their progress and come back to the form at a later time.

It seems there is no way to do these things in real time online.

    Thank you.

  17. Adobe allows for up to 150 signature transactions per year under most plans. However, there is no way to see in your account how many signature transactions you have used for the year. Suggest showing a running tally so that the user will know when they are about to hit their limit.

  18. Hello,

When deleting comments in a PDF-document in Adobe Acrobat Pro, the comments themselves are indeed removed, but if these comments were once accepted or rejected, this information stays around in the PDF document. Adobe Acrobat Pro know to ignore it and doesn't show it, but when opening that document on iOS for example, that information is still shown as some sort of comment, which is impossible to find (and thus remove) in Adobe Acrobat, because Adobe ignores these.

This is highly undesirable. Can this be fixed please?

    Thank you,
    Best regards,
    Jeroen
