Redacting a Hidden Layer Form XObject Creates Duplicate OCGs
After redacting (with hidden content removal disabled) a hidden layer form XObject partially, the toggling of the hidden layer fails. This is because Acrobat creates a copy of the OCG. One of the OCG objects is toggled in /OCProperties; however, this isn't the OCG that's present in the form xobject's /OC entry. Rather, the form xobject references the copy of the OCG. Therefore, toggling does nothing, and behaviour is unclear since it looks as if redacting a hidden layer makes the content visible by default.

I am stopping use of your software due to too many glitches
For weeks I have been trying to debug a problem where I try to import an image into an existing PDF. The screen freezes on the File Search tile. I have been unable to fix this. I've had similar issues in the past and spent hours fixing them. I am done with Adobe products and moving onto a new PDF reader/editor. I also was a stockholder in the company and have sold my stock because I have lost confidence in the product.

Security Risks of Fully Autonomous AI Systems
Hey, interesting topic you brought up. I’ve been thinking that the real risk with fully autonomous AI isn’t just security breaches, but how much control we’re willing to hand over to systems like https://skygen.ai/ that already show how far end-to-end automation can go in handling complex workflows without constant supervision. When AI can plan and execute tasks independently, even small vulnerabilities could scale quickly. Still, the efficiency gains are hard to ignore, especially in everyday productivity, so it really comes down to balancing innovation with solid safeguards.

Program did not work
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent subscription experience.
I was misled into subscribing to a product that proved entirely unfit for purpose. Despite being signed in, the software repeatedly prompted me to sign up for a free trial — an interruption that was both disruptive and baffling. It also failed to complete basic tasks, making it impossible to get any meaningful work done.
I have since cancelled my subscription. I expect better from a company of your standing, and I would urge you to address these issues seriously rather than continuing to charge customers for software that does not deliver on its most fundamental promises.

PDFMaker COM Addin crashes Word following Update
Acrobat version: 2026.001.21529, 64-bit
Windows: Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit
Office: Microsoft 365 Word / Current Channel, Copilot-enabled subscription ("Premium") [Microsoft Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2604 Build 16.0.19929.20106) 64-bit]
Add-in: Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin
DLL path: C:\Program Files\Acrobat DC\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFOfficeAddin.dllProblem:
PDFMaker launches normally and preferences are editable, but Word crashes mid-conversion.Important clues:
- Crash occurs with normal Word launch and with Word run as Administrator.
- Acrobat repair completed successfully but did not fix the issue.
- Adobe online Word-to-PDF converts the same DOCX successfully.
- Disabling “Enable Accessibility and Reflow with tagged Adobe PDF” and/or bookmark conversion sometimes allows completion, but not reliably.
- Word asks whether to disable the PDFMaker add-in after crashes.
- Local PDFMaker appears to be the failure path, not basic DOCX convertibility.
- PDFMaker ran normally/as expected and without error UNTIL the day I installed the Acrobat update AND the Microsoft 365 update (2026-05-01)Attachment:

Alt text in PDFs is read incompletely or incorrectly in the new Acrobat version.
When creating a PDF from InDesign with properly applied, long alt text (including text attached to paths), the issue appears after opening the file in Acrobat with the new version enabled and using a screen reader or the Read Aloud feature. The expected result is that the alt text is read fully, in the correct order, and without omissions, exactly as defined in InDesign. However, the observed result is that Acrobat cuts off the text after the first part, skips information, or reads it incorrectly. This problem does not occur in the classic version of Acrobat, where the alt text is read correctly, suggesting the issue is related to how the new version interprets the PDF rather than how it is generated.

offline
We require Adobe Acrobat Pro on a system that remains offline for security purposes. Well, OK, "require" may not be the word, as we recently installed some other PDF editor. But the ability to install Acrobat on our offline system would improve the quality of our work life.

LOGGING OUT
- The AI needs to be pulled - since being added it has been wildly annoying to where I am going to switch to Nuance if it doesnt stop.
- A wild amount of bugs since you chose to add AI. I am continuously having issues editing, applying signatures, all aspects of adobe ever since the AI feature was added
- Kind of like number 2 but since the AI was added Adobe is crashing out and signing me out almost every day and its a problem for those of us using this product for work.
I would say in the near future about a month or so if these arent corrected I will be moving the office to another product because its added a lot of frustration.
Also just a note who would ever need AI for a pdf product....like most things need manual review and can be split from bulk type features so it doesnt even make sense. A waste of AI and water. DO BETTER. YOU WERE GREAT BEFORE STOP CONFORMING FOR NO REASON. AINT NO ONE USING ADOBE SAID I WISH THIS HAD AI AND CRASHED EVERY 2 SECONDS....

Deletes My Signature
Adobe deletes my signature very often which is a very bad thing considering, with my company I have to verify my signature for it be accepted. It is getting out of hand with this. Either make a archive where it saves your past signatures of fix this issue or I will have to find a new format to use along with my company.
Happens on desktop. Deletes it on all platforms, needs fixed.

Scan and OCR
When I am using the OCR function with a document, the whole app is paralysed and won't allow me to read or work on other documents in other tabs. If this is by design then this is a significant oversight because other work cannot take place especially when the document being processed is large. If this is a fault then I need to know how to correct it. I am running an up to date PC with 32ghz processing power so I don't really understand what the problem is.

We need the ability to see usage reports
Unfortunately there are already like 80 feature requests for usage reports. As a company, we view the lack of visibility into usage as a sign of adobe not wanting to be transparent with its users. We have no way to track how often people are using the product, which in turn is making us buy more seats constantly. I apprech the hustle, but dang, I will certainly be looking for new products to swap to and to remove us from this endless loop.

Nobody will use Generate Podcast on the All Tools page, there is no reason to be the first listed tool, in Acrobat Pro when viewing PDFs.
All Tools is useful, but if it cannot be re-ordered, or items removed, then it becomes more cumbersome than useful. Nobody will ever Generate a Podcast based on a PDF, and therefore it's useless to have Generate Podcast as the first option on the All tools list, since it cannot be moved, demoted, or removed.

Request for Customizable Bookmarks Tool Panel Placement in Adobe Acrobat
Dear Adobe Support Team,
I am writing to share my frustration with the current version of Adobe Acrobat, specifically regarding the inability to move tool panels—such as the Bookmarks panel—to the left side or other locations within the application window. In previous versions, the placement of the Bookmarks panel and tools was on the left (which makes sense to be on the left), and it is essential for my daily workflow and productivity to keep it on the left. The recent interface changes have switched sides of all the tools, and now the Bookmarks panel is fixed on the right side, with no option to reposition it. This limitation disrupts my work and makes the software less user-friendly. Many users, including myself, rely on the ability to organize tools according to our needs.
I strongly urge Adobe to include the ability to move panels and tools, or to provide enhanced customization options in future updates. This change would help users like me work more efficiently and maintain the high standards we expect from Adobe products. We don’t have time to spend figuring out the new way to work, when we have WORK to get done quickly every day. This drastic change of tool / menu positioning is a serious time waster when there are deadlines that need to be met.
Thank you for listening to your users and considering our feedback.
Sincerely,
Jo HartDear Adobe Support Team,

Redacting large number of files in directory
When redacting large number of files in a directory, even if the redacting search does not find and matching terms to redact, I need the files to be names as specified and put in the new specified directory, so all the files in the directory are put in the new directory, so the whole directory can then be processed in the next redaction search and not have to be manually copy and paste files (as this is not really possible for 10's of thousands of files.

TOC from bookmark
It would be great for acrobat to creat a table of content/index based on the bookmarked pages. It would simplify Briefs, contentions, exhibitis editing. Foxit has that function and i am having to use it to edit my documents but i would prefer adobe add that function

tags
After that last update, converting a word doc to pdf is resulting in tagging errors. Specifically, normal text is tagged as headings, heading tags do not follow how the word document was tagged.
