PDFMaker COM Addin crashes Word following Update
Acrobat version: 2026.001.21529, 64-bit
Windows: Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit
Office: Microsoft 365 Word / Current Channel, Copilot-enabled subscription ("Premium") [Microsoft Word for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2604 Build 16.0.19929.20106) 64-bit]
Add-in: Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin
DLL path: C:\Program Files\Acrobat DC\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFOfficeAddin.dllProblem:
PDFMaker launches normally and preferences are editable, but Word crashes mid-conversion.Important clues:
- Crash occurs with normal Word launch and with Word run as Administrator.
- Acrobat repair completed successfully but did not fix the issue.
- Adobe online Word-to-PDF converts the same DOCX successfully.
- Disabling “Enable Accessibility and Reflow with tagged Adobe PDF” and/or bookmark conversion sometimes allows completion, but not reliably.
- Word asks whether to disable the PDFMaker add-in after crashes.
- Local PDFMaker appears to be the failure path, not basic DOCX convertibility.
- PDFMaker ran normally/as expected and without error UNTIL the day I installed the Acrobat update AND the Microsoft 365 update (2026-05-01)Attachment:

Alt text in PDFs is read incompletely or incorrectly in the new Acrobat version.
When creating a PDF from InDesign with properly applied, long alt text (including text attached to paths), the issue appears after opening the file in Acrobat with the new version enabled and using a screen reader or the Read Aloud feature. The expected result is that the alt text is read fully, in the correct order, and without omissions, exactly as defined in InDesign. However, the observed result is that Acrobat cuts off the text after the first part, skips information, or reads it incorrectly. This problem does not occur in the classic version of Acrobat, where the alt text is read correctly, suggesting the issue is related to how the new version interprets the PDF rather than how it is generated.

scroll bar delay
When I open an Acrobat PDF (in Adobe Acrobat 2026.001...), the Scroll Bar on the right does NOT show for about 15 seconds every time. I have to wait and then I can finally drag down into the document. Very Annoying. Please fix this

paste doesn't retain selection
Up until Monday, when I was in Edit mode and pasted items (text and outline box) from another page onto my active page, all the pasted items would remain selected and I could then drag them into place. Now the selection seems to be cleared and I have difficulty selecting the new items that are pasted over the top of original items.
Also when I was viewing the full page, the items would paste in the same position as they were on the original page, but if I zoomed in, they would paste on the page where I was viewing. Now they just go to the previous position, regardless of zoom or viewing position. I am using 2026.001.21789

Disabling "Automatically Detect Form Fields" doesn't work
Environment: Windows 11 Business. Acrobat Pro Version 2026.001.21789 64-bit (I saw the note about Acrobat DC. Acrobat Pro sent me to this feedback page, so I cannot take responsibility if this is the wrong page.)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Navigate to Menu -> Preferences -> Forms.
2. Uncheck the box next to "Automatically detect Form fields" and click OK.
3. Restart Acrobat as many times as you want.
4. Open a file that normally would have Form fields auto-detected.
5. Open the E-Sign/Fill and Sign menu.Expected result: Acrobat does not detect form fields unless the user asks it to.
Observed result: Acrobat continues to automatically detect fields, placing blue rectangles on the document that the user can click and enter text into.

Cannot print due to updates over the last couple weeks
Over the last couple weeks (Posting August 25, 2026) the updates to Acrobat have broken printing. It doesn't recognize that a printer is connected to the computer (we have two, it sees neither). If I do a repair to the program, I might be able to print my work documents at that time, but that only is a single day fix. If the computer is shutdown or falls asleep, the same problem happens again. I can print a pdf if opened into a web browser. So this is an Adobe problem. I need to open. print and make PDFs for work, so a several week non-functioning app is not helpful.

Functional Parity and Full Dutch Language Support for Adobe Sign Plugin in Microsoft Teams
We would like to request the following improvements specifically for the Adobe Sign plugin in Microsoft Teams:
A. Add “Start from Library” functionality to the MS Teams plugin
In the Adobe Sign web application, users can start workflows and templates using the “Start from Library” option. This functionality is currently not available in the Adobe Sign plugin for Microsoft Teams.
We request that the Teams plugin provides the same capability, allowing users to start workflows and templates directly from the library without leaving Teams.B. Full Dutch language support in the Adobe Sign plugin for Microsoft Teams
We request complete and consistent Dutch (Nederlands) language support within the Adobe Sign plugin in Microsoft Teams. Currently, parts of the interface remain in English, which results in an inconsistent and confusing user experience for Dutch-speaking users. Why the Feature Is Needed:
A. Efficient and consistent workflows inside Microsoft Teams
Many organizations use Microsoft Teams as their primary workspace. Missing core functionality forces users to switch to the web application, which breaks workflow continuity, reduces productivity, and increases the chance of mistakes. Functional parity would enable users to complete the entire signing process within Teams.B. Better adoption and usability in Dutch organizations
Full localization is essential for smooth adoption, especially in larger organizations where not all users are comfortable with English interfaces. Complete Dutch language support will reduce training effort, support requests, and user errors. These improvements would significantly increase the value of the Adobe Sign integration in Microsoft Teams and encourage broader adoption across organizations.

rotated pages are not saved
When I rotate the image, it is impossible to save it
The new Adobe 2024 is worse than Adobe 2020, which I had for years and lost when my computer died and I had to buy another computer. It is the first ridiculous thing that I saw, as on my Adobe account I couldn't even see which computers I had connected to cancel the computer which died.
Now we should pay more money for the worse variant of Adobe.
I took Black Icon 2024 in the hope that it would be like Black Icon 2020. No, it is not the same - it is as bad as all other Adobe apps. And now what I got for the money I paid? - It doesn't even save the rotated pages - I don't want to send this kind of file to our vendors or customers. It looks SO NOT professional. But if some employee sends me a file turned on its side or upside down, and I want to fix it before submitting it further, it just doesn't work. So this kind of expensive Adobe makes our work NOT professional. It is ridiculous. So, after I rotate a page, I need to save it under a different name, delete the first PDF, etc. Is it a service improvement?
And again, my Adobe account doesn't show all I have on my account - both keys (I have two) all computers assigned, etc.

Clear address book recipient list
Please could there be an option to clear the address book / recipient list on Adobe Sign. It's very easy to send to an incorrect recipient because all recipients who have ever been sent anything, are saved by default and there's no way of removing them. Thanks

search starts searching before I can type in text
When I use the search feature within a PDF (Acrobat Pro on Mac), Acrobat begins to return results immediately after I type the first character and in so doing, interrupts the typing making it difficult to type in a search term. To be clear, getting an instantaneous response is unhelpful -- searching for all results after a single letter is typed is just nuts ... I type quickly, but not fast enough -- my typing shouldn't be interrupted (let me keep typing without interruption)

Can AI be used to either move fields automatically or create the javascript code to be able to create dynamic text fields?
I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/ideas/suggestions on if AI can be used to help create dynamic text fields in fillable forms, either by being able to move the fields automatically or as a tool to better generate the complex (for a novice) JavaScript code that might make it possible? Thanks in advance!

Acrobat Reader & Viewer is absolute Adware Junkware Trash software
Constant Nags & Popovers and Notifications to start Free Trial and purchase Premium version. I have never seen such junk software and can't believe Adobe has fallen so badly and stooped so low. Never using again.

Enable Account Admins to update user profile fields (e.g. Company) via API, matching existing Web UI capability
The company field on a user's profile can currently be edited manually, one user at a time, through the Acrobat Sign web UI. However, Adobe Support confirmed that Account Admins do not have the ability to PUT user profile information via the REST API at all — PUT /users/{id} returns 403 PERMISSIONDENIED regardless of OAuth scope (userwrite:account) or confirmed Account Admin status, even when editing one's own profile. This is by design, not a bug, per Support.
This creates a significant scalability gap: any correction to user profile data such as fixing an inaccurate company value applied by default at provisioning must be done manually, one user at a time, through the UI, with no supported programmatic or bulk alternative outside of setting the company name across all users to a new value. However, this solution is not tenable for organizations with many different legal entities apart of one enterprise account with thousands of users. This makes routine data hygiene tasks (e.g., correcting a stale default value across an entire organization) impractical.
Requested: allow Account Admins with an appropriately-scoped OAuth token to update user profile attributes via the API — at minimum, parity with what's already permitted through the web UI. This would let administrators correct and maintain accurate user data at scale without requiring thousands of individual manual edits or repeated support tickets.

Improve accessibility checks/fixes
Acrobat Pro should be able to find all accessibility errors and suggest a fix for each one, with a button to fix it, similar to find/replace in a document. When I use Acrobat Pro, it finds some of the accessibility errors, but no option to fix them. When I put it into PAC for the final check, it finds more errors so I am spending hours on each document that our agency posts online.

Customer email blocked because age restrictions
New customers sometimes enter the company’s date of birth instead of their actual and personaly birthdate, when registering a new email address. In some cases, the date of company is less than 12 years ago, which can cause the email address to be blocked.
When this happens to a user, they can contact the primary contact, who can access the Admin Console and ask Adobe Support, via support or chat, to reverse the situation.
However, if the primary contact makes the same mistake, there is no way to log in to Adobe and resolve the issue.
There should be a dedicated support website or email address where customers can request the email address to be unlocked in these situations.
