  1. Add a new “picture” field that would allow inserting a picture type (jpg, jpg, eps, etc.) into the field. The when pasted in allow the user resizing choices such as zooming and cropping, as needed.

I’m surprised no one has asked for this. I’m in construction and I think this would be needed for insurance forms or any field where photo documentation is being collected.

  2. I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI. I used to use Adobe Acrobat X, and encountered the same problem.

I create some REALLY lengthy forms in Word. I apply a style with square bullets to text in Word to create a checkbox list. Then I convert the file to PDF, and then convert the PDF to a form. Every line has the same Word style with the same square symbol for its bullet, so there's nothing about the way I'm applying the formatting that's inconsistent.

I've learned from trial and error that square bullets only convert to checkboxes if the font is…

The form field detection algorithm is not perfect, and only provides a good starting point.
You will require manual work to create fields that are not detected by Acrobat

As a workaround, you could try inserting “Square shape” instead of bullets.
Click Insert, click Shapes, select a shape, and then click and drag to draw the shape.

I hope this work for you.

  3. when doing a calculation in a form like
    A1B1=C1
with given standard values A1=2, B1=3 resulting in a field with calculation result of 6 (from 2x3=6) you get mistakes in a new calculation when you
    - copy the three field
    - rename them to D1, E1 and F1 and
    - change the standard values and the calculation to D1=3, E1=4
    - change the calculation to D1
    E1 with result 12
the shown form is still A1*B1=C1 values in both lines

This is a bug that should be solved.

Closing this for now until we have further info on the request.
    Can revisit later

  4. On Adobe Acrobat DC for Mac, when trying to program a calculation, the Field Selection dialog box is much too small to see the field names, and it can't be enlarged! There doesn't seem to be a way to select the fields outside of the dialog box on the form, which would be very convenient and make sense. It makes it impossible to use the calculate feature if you have long field names, which Adobe creates by default.

  5. I wanted to use Font Awesome icons in Forms, but is not possible. I choose the Font Awesome in text field properties, but doesn't show when I want to copy an icon from the cheatsheet - the same technique works with every other Adobe program. This is a cheatsheet that I use: http://fontawesome.io/cheatsheet/. The font is installed on my computer.

  6. First my suggestion for Acrobat Pro is work more painstakingly or stock up staff! The CC costs a bunch of money and when working with it, it shows that it doesn't function as sufficient as is should. Especially when it comes to creating/editing more advanced interactive PDFs with Acrobat Pro. The possibility to do that basically is a very mighty and good feature but it doesn't runs as stable as it should.

In my opinion there could/should be a standalone software thats reduced to interactive/form field and layout functions (comparable: InDesign) only. Acrobat Pro is packed full with lots of…

  10. "Duplicate across pages" places the button (the element I want to duplicate) complete out of the page in all other pages. I am using the very latest version of Acrobat. It worked perfectly fine before the update.

  12. When trying to merge two files that are each fillable forms, instead of being two separate pages, the second form prepopulates with information from the first form page. So there is no way to merge two forms.

Thank you for sending in you suggestion.

We shall need more information on what workflows are used and how exactly do you use this feature.

  14. When I have form fields that I created and that are filled in, I can't change the field size or shape without it distorting the text completely. I have to drag it to distort, hit undo, then do it again. The first size change screws up the text, but the second time does not. It's very aggravating when I need to adjust numerous text box sizes and have to do everything twice to avoid stretching the text.

Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with. You can do so using the link -helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product..

Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

If this still doesn’t resolve the issue, please share the test file and a video of the issue via
https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161 for us to investigate further.

  15. Its a Bug.
After saving an excel or PDF, Firefox tries to open it. I have to go to info and change the app to Acrobat...again and again, even after setting the preference.

  16. The previous version of Acrobat clearly indicated which fields were fillable by having them highlighted in blue. And now there simply isn't anything, and it's suggested to simply just click and check? Not effective, efficient, or clear especially for forms that are aimed towards less tech savvy people.

  17. There is an option to change the border color under Preferences, Forms change Required fields border highlight color. When another users fills out the form the border outline color reverts to red again. I would like the outline color for the required field that I selected to travel with the PDF document.

You will need to implement keystroke script for this.
