Add OCR support for curved text
This is challenging, but I'm sure you could manage:
Many texts that I need to OCR have been scanned from books, so the text is curved. Right now, Acrobat only recognises text in straight lines, so it jumps lines when highlighting and copying text.Would be great if Acrobat Pro could judge, e.g. by analyzing the borders of text boxes, that lines of text are not perfectly straight.1 vote -
Export to Word should retain OCR corrections
This is an OCR and Export issue. Because DC's OCR is not as good as it was in Pro, I get tons of errors that I correct. The correction is great unless the OCR grabs half a letter. However, if I export the OCR's pdf to Word, DC OCR's the pdf again and does not retain the corrections and will export with the same errors. That is crazy.

Hotfolder
Gesucht ist folgendes: ein Prozess soll einfach einen Ordner alleine überwachen und dann, wenn ein Scanner dort eine Datei ablegt, die OCR-Funktion alleine starten und das Ergebnis in einen anderen Ordner speichern.

Insert ability to remove all OCRing / hidden text behind visible text in document
I sometimes receive files that have printed text that appears correctly but for which the underlying OCRing (or text derived from Word or another word processor) has become corrupt or is otherwise garbled and bears no relation to the visible printed text. An example is attached. It would be very helpful if there were a feature that allowed you to remove all existing OCRed text (or the underlying hidden text produced from the word processor) and run Acrobat's OCRing again from scratch.
It's possible to print an image only PDF and then OCR this, but that is cumbersome, loses quality…

Cursor appearance when OCring
When OCRing a document and you move to another program to allow the OCR to continue, the cursor is still the watch. This makes working in other programs difficult. The watch should only take over the cursor when you are actually in Adobe.

DC disappears (crashes) after new scan
Fujitsu fi-7160 scans disappear (crash) using the "Create new from scanner" option only. All other scanning works as intended.
the same issue occurs with WIA or the Twain drivers. All drivers and the program is fully updated.

OCR Scan showing odd artifacts, numbers clipping into one another, and spaces and/or dashes in the underlining.
We have to use Editable Text and Image for our national database to add our header on the top of pdf documents filed in our database.
Regardless of scanner used, OCR is not is not seeing the underlines as a solid line. It looks like a bunch of underscores. This results in the numbers above it to become distorted. Sometimes the amounts are not readable.
here are times the line comes through looking like this: _----------__
Are settings are 300 dpi, black and white document, OCR on / Editable Text and Images, front side. We have changed the…1 vote -
Bug: Saving a scanned document
I cannot save a scanned document. When I click on "save as" a blank box opens up. Nothing else happens. This just started today. I was happily scanning and saving yesterday with no problem.
Anyone know what's wrong ? AND the FIX?

Correct recognized text box should allow user to change the field
After running OCR and then running correct, it sometimes doesn't recognize the entire word or a whole character and there's no way to override the incomplete recognition to ensure the entire word is corrected or to correct the partial recognition. If the user could override that recognition and select the full word or character, then correct it to be accurate. Then it would be fabulous if the program would automatically rerun to find similar configurations and offer to correct them throughout the entire file and show the results similar to an advanced search, to complete a quick survey and have…

Correcting a word in OCR, should carry forward to search all others in the same file and automatically correct. I
Once a word is corrected, Adobe should automatically apply that correction throughout the entire file. Otherwise, you end up having to correct the same word on every page.

Allow Specification of Default "Scan To" folder when Scanning
Hi,
I do a LOT of scanning via Acrobat Pro DC. I am often creating multiple documents, but each time I initiate a scan I have to select a folder to save the documents to (usually 5 or 6 clicks in an AWFULLY BADLY DESIGNED folder selection window.I ask just ONE thing - can you please provide an option that allows me to specify a DEFAULT folder that will be selected when I wish to scan (and save multiple files).
This is the biggest pain in my *** right now - adds 7 clicks and 20 seconds every time.…

Autotag only figures
I would like it, if a user could only auto tag figure. It is a common issue for me to have figures that aren't initially recognized, but auto tagging the whole document interrupts the text.

Allow for wifi scanning
Currently, Adobe Acrobat Pro must be connected directly to the scanning device in order to create PDFs via scanner. Other scanning programs can scan wirelessly, so this should be possible. I'd prefer to use my printer via wifi, but it appears I'll have to connect it via a USB cable only for Acrobat Pro. Would be great if you could add this wifi feature to Acrobat so that this is not required. Thank you.

Improve OCR stability
Acrobat DC, Windows 10, 16 GB RAM, relatively fast processor.
(1) I frequently must OCR documents of 2,000 pages or more. With Acrobat for Mac (which I used from 2012 to 2018), I could start the OCR process, go away for an hour or two or three, and it would be finished with the entire document when I returned. With Acrobat DC for Windows, if I try to OCR more than about 150 pages at a time, Acrobat will crash. Not immediately, but after it's run for 10 minutes or so. All progress will be lost. I will have to…

Acrobat Pro DC fails to recognize text with "Unknown error" repeatedly
I have a page that I have scanned 5 times using "PDF Producer: Adobe Photoshop for Windows -- Image Conversion Plug-in". This creates a valid pdf when exported as "Photoshop PDF/*.pdf", but repeated fails when Tools | Enhance Scans | Recognize Text is selected. I have repeated the scan numerous times, and have generated a fresh pdf using this process 5 times, with the same error each time. I have attached the pdf for use in bug reporting
Platform info:
Windows 10 (1809, Build 17763.437)

Blank page removal
The Canon Image Formula DR-C125 comes with a native program that removes blank pages while scanning. I use this to scan, and then switch to Acrobat to edit thereafter. It would be nice if Acrobat had a blank page removal option.
