  1. So i click on "remove restrictions on this document" and then it asks for a password. Me no HAVE a password, WHAT password? wtf are you talking about? WHERE do i find this golden password that i've never created? wtf am I paying for this for

  2. Whenever a digital signature field is added, we do not get the option to duplicate it. This would be very helpful in cases where same person has to sign on multiple pages in a document.
    At present, it is giving the option to duplicate across pages, however, it is not working nor it is giving any error message.
    Please include this feature in Acrobat, or grey out the duplicate across pages option.

  3. Acrobat DC Pro hides the 'digital signature' field unless you follow a very convoluted series of steps to find it. Recommend ALWAYS having the digital signature option available. Also, recommend disambiguating between 'signature' 'initial' and 'digital signature' fields. Conceptually very similar. Functionally very different.

    To use Digital Signature on Acrobat/Reader, if you have a signature field present on the pdf, you still can click on the document field and it would initiate the digital signature workflow. This functionality is still present in Acrobat DC. If you want to draw a signature on the pdf outside a signature box, please go to Tools—Certificates—Digitally Sign. That would enable you to draw a box on the pdf for the signature.

  4. Our county's superior court system requires that we e-file all documents into the court; upon filing a document with the system ("LINX"), LINX timestamps it.

    This doesn't work with a certified e-signed document, because Adobe locks the document from future editing. If I try to e-file a certified copy, LINX immediately rejects the file, because of course LINX can't timestamp it.

    I'm forced to print out the file, physically scan it again, and e-file the document that I had e-signed in the first place! Am I missing a checkbox somewhere that I can check, to force Adobe to allow editing…

    Thanks for writing to us.

    From what I understand, you require your PDF to be digitally signed again, after you have shared it after certifying and digitally signing by your signature? Can you please try these steps and see if this is what you require:

    1. Open PDF in Acrobat DC. From Tools→ select ‘Prepare form’ app and click Start. Add (at least) 2 signature fields from top toolbar and save the document
    2. Right click on the first signature field and select ‘Certify with visible signature’. In the Certify Document dialog that comes up, under ‘Permitted Actions After Certifying’, select ‘Form fill-in and digital signatures’
    3. Now sign the document by adding your signature
    4. Send the document to LINX now

  5. It would be good to have some sort of solution/ patch/ workaround/ update to prevent Google DocHub from being able to edit locked forms. I've noticed that by dropping an adobe pdf into DocHub does a few things:
    1. Even if document password protected to prevent editing it is easily editable and doesnt seem to honor those security settings
    2. When document is locked after signing DocHub allows all the previously fillable fields to be edited while still retaining the original signature
    3. even if a fillable form is converted to flattened copy, once dropped into DocHub all the fillable…

  6. This is a bug report.
    I used Adobe Pro DC to encrypt documents for emailing to outside agencies among other things. Today, I discovered after sending a document to a co-worker for review, the default PDF reader on Windows allows access without the password required... simply by hitting the cancel options. I spoke with the Adobe Pro help line for an hour today and they asked me to write this report. The application used is called Windows reader, when opened you cannot print or edit but you can view the document without any obstacles, I was also able to take…

  7. You should be apply to apply security settings, i.e. password protect multiple files at once just like you can add a header/footer to multiple files at once.

    Dear User,

    You can create a new policy template from Protect—Encrypt—Manage Security Policies—New (create the new security settings that you want to apply) and save it as a template.
    You will still need to open the files individually and apply the template on each file. But this would be an easier way around.

  8. When a page is spawned from a page template that contains a digital signature, the digital signature field does not retain the set "signed" action. (I.E. mark field as read only: all fields), or a script to be executed.

Please allow the digital signature options (and the comment, specifically the dynamic stamp (who came up with that unintuitive name and why??), options) to remain in the toolbar from document to document so I do not need to go through the same multi-step process over and over again when approving or signing a number of documents in a row. I see that you've noted that "streamline digital signing" below has been resolved - nope, it has not. In the attached I've shown the steps it takes to put a dynamic stamp on a PDF. Each. Time. Please fix. Thank you.

  10. Trying to find how to prepare a form using Add signature (adding fields before sending) and then sending for signature (in that order), but when I pull up Prepare form, there is only an icon for adding digital signature, but not the icon for Add digital signature tool.

  11. It would be great that Adobe DC has more options, like choose between changes allowed:
    - Highlight or not the texts
    - Add or not the sticky notes
    - etc...

    Because the options are limited and it's impossible to share information without have a security of your documents.
    I will appreciate that you give us more options.

  13. The sign in screen is preventing me from accessing the program by popping up over and over, even after I enter my username and password. It might get to the "Check out the new Acrobat Reader DC" and a button that says "Start Tour" that pops up and it will not go away or do anything else. What is the fix for this? I have many important documents in the cloud. Thanks.

  14. There does not appear to be a way to hide the new "To do" signature requests section at the top of the newly redesigned Recent window. Please allow us to hide this section as it's in the way and annoying.

  15. REMOVE DIGITAL SIGNATURE - CAPABILITY

    I can't delete a digital signature that I created with incorrect information.

    This is a problem because it continues to pop up among the list of signatures to choose from and could cause people to make signature mistakes.

  17. Cloud based digital IDs are getting common, convenience (applicable for use between different devices), cheaper and my desire feature - 2 factor OTP (One-Time Password). Why Acrobat Pro DC does not allows cloud based digital IDs? I don't feel there's a competition to Adobe Sign if this is included. More importantly, tag line for Acrobat is "complete PDF solution", it will be ridiculous to switch between 2 Adobe software just for signing with cloud based digital ID.

    P.S.: Took me quite a while to realize the difference between token/certificate digital ID and cloud based digital ID. My effort was wasted…

  18. When user attempts to sign a pdf document, a box usually populates requesting id verification, but instead a black screen engulfs the entire screen and remains there for some time. Not able to sign document with certificates. An urgent response is greatly appreciated!

    I have signed some test pdf document with a digital signature.

    As you can see on a picture the document is totally protected from any modification.

    Now I go to a signature panel and rightclick my signature.

    There is a Clear Signature option, which do what it says - deletes my signature and make document editable again.

    I understand the concept of signature. It is not a method to protect your data, it only can guarantee that content was not altered.

    But never the less:
