  1. My name is Alex and I just wanna say, I hate Adobe. I hate that your Acrobat Reader is a heavy and useless piece of software. I hate that you charge an absurd amount to rent the "pro" version of the software. I hate how useless Acrobat Reader is. I hate the fact that pdf is the industry standard. I hate even more the new version of Acrobat Reader. The CEO and everyone that makes real decisions at Adobe should be ashamed. Thankfully, just like any other company, Adobe will go down one day and then maybe something better will…

  3. I sometimes receive pdfs consisting of multiple different invoices, which I then need to split apart. The only options I can see appear to split the file into groups of, say, three pages, or ten pages, or single pages, or whatever number I specify. But that's not what I need to do. For instance, I might have a 35 page pdf that includes eight different invoices. The first is three pages, the second is five pages, then there are three of one page each, and one of six pages, and so on.

In the "Organize Pages" window if I click…

  4. SetContents does not work to change the displayed text of a FreeText item, such as a callout for Interapplication Communication with Acrobat (https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/acrobatsdk/pdfs/acrobatsdk_iacguide.pdf). It is works to change the display text of comments, but not FreeText items.

  6. My Win 11 system gets very boggy when adding and editing text boxes in existing pdf files. I have attached my system info file as generated in Acrobat Pro version 2022.002.20212 64 bit.

    Thanks,
    Jason

  7. My form uses javascript to perform simple calculations and exclusion of checkboxes that otherwise would not be compatible with radiobuttons. It works fine on all bowsers except Safari. Javascript is enabled! So, what finicky part of Apple is treating Acrobat as “noncompliant” and not allowing it to execute? Is there some Document javascript I can add, or perhaps some Document Metadata that allows the Acrobat javascript to execute?

These are both the latest versions so dont refer me to some outdated references on plugins that no longer apply.

  8. As a postgraduate student I have many readings, usually in the form of journal articles, almost always PDFs that I am given. The content is quite in depth and sometimes I am not always able to fully read content in one sitting. When I turn my PC off and reopen the files I currently have to use an external method to keep track of where I was. Sometimes this can be quite laborious and confusing.

I would like a feature that enables me to for example, drag a progress bar down to the section I've read, that automatically saves for…

  9. I not sure, recently, adobe set the reader as adobe acrobat DC and the same name with the adobe acrobat DC pro (subscription) and it is kind of sad that developer of adobe dont think of people who just need a reader, sometime swing the adobe subscription licenses to share between the staff. The tech support said adobe acrobat DC reader is part of the adobe acrobat DC pro.

So why we cannot have Adobe acrobat DC reader and adobe acrobat DC pro application in 1 machine. Why.. in the old DC version we are able to use as reader…

  10. As of right now, if I want to change the "default" setting for "Signing Order" to "Recipients will sign in any order", but a user on our account would like to have that setting default to "Recipients will sign in the order they are entered" for themselves (at the user level), this is currently not possible as confirmed by Adobe Support a few minutes ago. It would be helpful for users to be able to change some of their own default settings rather than only having account-wide default settings for every single user. This is also true for setting a…

  12. REMOVE THE IDIOTIC HOME SCREEN! there has been thousands of threads on this. Nobody likes! the first thing everyone does after an update, googles how to turn it off, because adobe likes to move that option around to make it more difficult for everyone!
i'm in production so i have to open a lot of pdf files, so each time i close one i have to close 2 windows. do you think this is productive? no it's a waste of time. REMOVE!!!

  13. We use web forms for applications, it would be helpful to add a cover page to fill in their progress on our side and combine other document that they did not attach originally
Also should be able to have full pdf tools in editing web forms - so can edit base form and fillable fields

  14. Hi, I found an annoying ongoing issue. I use my daily tools box set (left side of the program window, when the document is opened). But without any reason, it's time to time reset by default and again and again, I must collect my new own...
The next one is about the tools line on top of the window it's seen before you do not open any document (in the Home tab), the same issue...

  16. Kudos to you for making a reflow mode available for all PDFs, which is a huge help to us vision impaired folks. It would be absolutely amazing if there was some way to even just highlight text while in reflow mode. That way those who have to use reflow mode can also use this basic feature of any pdf reader application.

  17. I am on Windows 10 64-bit, on a Dell XPS 15 9500 with a 4K screen.

Here is the link to the video where I compare text box resizing between Microsoft Word 365 and Acrobat DC Pro v22.002.20212
    https://felixwong.photos/s/iLLYsgeRZeZRMYN

On any other word processor app, resizing a text box is intuitive and fast. While on DC Pro, the cursor switches between "Move" and "Rotate" more often than land on "Resize". Some times I need to zoom in to 150% or 200% just to be able to nail the "resize" tool.
As you can see in the attached photo, my cursor…

  19. show tip for keyboard-shortcut (alt+enter)

I don't want to know how many people give up the struggle of commenting in adobe acrobat reader... because of the counter-intuitive "sending" (entering) a comment... forced by clicking a button with the mouse.

apparently you can "enter" with [alt + enter]

please show a popup-tip for this key-combo when hovering over the [send-button]

  20. When creating a comment with richt-click
    - create the comment-icon in the center of the click
... not below the top-left corner of the comment-icon
... I think this is much more intuitive for organising your lay-out of comments.
