1. Droplets get corrupted when modified (macOS)

   Everything works fine when I create a droplet, but if I edit a droplet in the Preflight window, the droplet becomes corrupted. When I execute the droplet, I get an OS error "You can’t open the application <droplet name> because it may be damaged or incomplete."

   I investigated via Show Package Contents in Finder, and found that the directory structure in modified droplets is different from the directory structure of a non-modified droplet – see attached screenshots.

   I'm running the latest Acrobat (20.0) on macOS Mojave (10.14.6), and I also experienced the same problem a few months ago on High Sierra, before I upgraded to Mojave.

2. Text Call

   Using Text Callout after a Comment Tool (Line, Segmented Line, etc.) will not allow typing immediately, despite a blinking cursor. The user must first click the Text Callout area again before being allowed to type.

3. Allow addition of text without breaking each word into bounding boxes

   I have many documents that I regularly access and add text to. In a previous version of Adobe Pro, when I would click in the area of text, the whole area would become editable and I could add text that lined up with what was previously added. Now, if you click "edit PDF," every single character is selected in its own bounding box and there is no way to do the previously described adding of text, other than to enable the "add text" feature, which is not the same as what I described above. Often times, I need to adjust the spacing of what has been added, to fit more on the page, and this can no longer be done because of the way the program breaks everything into pieces. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or does that feature need to be added back into Adobe Pro.

4. Team Collaboration - Adobe Sign and Send

   My team of 4 uses Adobe sign and send. The thing is that we all have our "own" page to track signatures. Is there a way where we can all SHARE a page to keep track of needed signatures as a team? As a team leader, having to follow up with everyone else individually adds an unnecessary layer of complexity to my job. If I could see our "team" page, it'd be so much easier.

5. Where are the old mark up tools? I only what to draw some circles round things to highlight them. This new design is wasting my time.

   Stop changing the workspace around so people stay familiar and can work efficiently. Professional software is supposed to support and enable efficient working.

7. Turn off the automatic bounding boxes

   When using the 'Add text' tool, DC seems to bind together multiple lines of text. This would be ok if you could break the bind to change the layout. I can't seem to do this and end up deleting and doing the work again....hardly efficient??

8. Distiller Font Errors, invalidfont, OffendingCommand: xshow

   For years (as long as Acrobat DC), across multiple machines, versions of windows 10 and versions of CC I keep gettting font errors when printing from various sources (specifically, browsers and MSWord)

   This happens whenever I print to Adobe PDF (every time)

   Windows 10 build 19041.508 (ver 2004)
   Adobe CC 2020, Acrobat 2020.006.20042

   This is the current error log generated:

9. Acrobat DC continually crashing Windows 10

   Acrobat DC has started to continually crash after opening a document.I have tried all steps suggested in "Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows. Nothing fixes it ! ! !

10. Default Bookmark View

    There used be a setting where you would create a bookmark and it would capture whatever the view ...... not zoom......view of the page. For example, lets say I am bookmarking a picture on a page and its sort of to the lower middle of the page and small. I used to use the dynamic zoom to this object and bookmark it. The bookmark would not only keep the custom zoom, but the location on the page as well. After the most recent update, this option is no longer default. You have to go bookmark by bookmark and adjust them individually under their bookmark properties then action. Not sure why this option was taken away. I've used it for over 5 years and it worked beautifully. Is there a way to bring it back with the next update?

11. Combining converted excel file to existing pdf

    I often convert excel files and combine with an existing pdf. I am switching to acrobat pro from omnipage. With omnipage, I would convert my selected worksheets (in a process very similar to acrobat pro), but when i would choose a file name, I would choose the existing file I wanted to combine with and it would give me the option to replace that file or combine to it in the order i wanted (beginning, end, middle). Adobe pro just gives me the option to replace.

    It is my understanding the my only options with acrobat pro are to open the target pdf and use the insert file option in the organize pages tool which requires me to know the sheet numbers in the excel file that I want to combine (I have over 35 sheets, so that's not practical) or create a separate pdf from the excel file and then combine them and delete the old pdf(s).

    It would be great if acrobat pro had the feature i mentioned like omnipage.

12. transparent colour

    One of the most common things we do as art directors, design directors and creative directors is to comment on PDF's.

    In doing that we have to make boxes or circles to show where we want to make changes.

    Almost every PDF editor under the sun has Red Stroke, NO Fill as default for this reason.

    In Acrobat I have to click 3 times before I can get to set any object as no fill.

    I'm really happy to be able to change fill colour of my rectangle or circle, but at least have one of the colours in the default colour picker be transparent instead of having to double click into the Mac OS colour picker.

    And in fact why am I having to mix the colours in the Mac OS colour picker anyway.

    What is this like 1997?

    Considering every other adobe program has an extensive Adobe colour mixed and colour selection tool built in I find it very strange that you are relying on the MacOS colour picker to do this in Acrobat.

    (And please don't tell me to turn down the opacity because that affects the stroke aswell. I just want a regular old, red line rectangle with no fill.)

13. You need to be able to increase number of signatures in a Creative Cloud plan

    There has to be a way to upgrad/increase the number of signatures you can have in Adobe sign, when you have Acrobat /Sign through Creative Cloud(US$600)
    That you have to buy Acrobat again with the "small business-plan"(US$420) on top of the creative cloud plan not reasonable.

    Please make it possible to upgrade the numbers of signatures within the creative cloud plan.

14. Fully Deleting Cropped Content

    Sometimes when I scan, there is a lot of empty space around that I would like to delete using Adobe Acrobat DC.

    Currently, the cropped content is only hidden, and it increases the file size. This feature was also discussed here:

15. Screen scaling breaks comments pane

    Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1909
    Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, version 2020.012.20041
    Two screens with different scales: 125% (3840x2160) and 100% (1920x1080)

    When I have the comment pane open and move Acrobat between screens with different resolutions, the comment pane becomes is cut short. This behaviour appears to be strictly related to multi-screen environments where the screens have different scales. When I set both screens to the same scale (125%) the problem disappeared.

    Workaround: after moving Acrobat from one screen to another, I select another tool on the task pane (like Export PDF) and then I select Comment on the task pane again. This revealed the full-length comment pane.

16. Flippable PDF as Attachment

    I'd like to be able to export a pdf in a flippable book layout, so when the recipient of the attachment opens it, the file is in a flippable/readable digital book format.

17. BUG: Fillable Date Format (Auto-Conversion BROKEN)

    When a valid date is entered using a format different from the format specified by the form date field, Acrobat automatically converts this to the specified format on-screen. However the saved data remains in the originally-entered (incorrect) format.

    Example: Field Name: "DateOfBirth" Format: mm/dd/yyyy

    Entered: "12 Aug 2002" Form displays: "08/12/2002" following entry

    It APPEARS the date was converted to the specified format.

    Export Data saves this as: ... <</T(DateOfBirth)/V(12 Aug 2002)>> ...

    This indicates the original entry was saved, not the converted date.

    This SHOULD be saved as: ... <</T(DateOfBirth)/V(03/12/2002)>> ...

    When returning to the DateOfBirth field the display reverts back to "12 Aug 2002" (the original entry). It SHOULD continue to display the correct format "08/12/2002" any time after auto-formatting of the date has taken place.

    For fields using ISO 8601 (yyyy-mm-dd international standard date format) it is even worse. Auto-conversion to the specified date format completely fails. Only yyyy-mm-dd entry is accepted. Valid dates in other formats cause an error:

     Invalid date/time: please ensure that th date/time exist. 
     Field [ DateOfBirth] should match format yyyy-mm-dd
    

    This has never been a problem until recently. Testing other PDF applications shows they are capable of handling the auto-conversion of the date format as expected using the same form. (The form was created entirely in Adobe Acrobat DC.) FOXIT Reader works correctly. Even EDGE browser works correctly. Adobe Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat DC were working correctly UNTIL RECENTLY, but now fail.

18. Microsoft Teams - Integrate Acrobat DC - "Open in App"

    When using Microsoft Teams, there should be an option to "Open in App" from within files inside of Teams. Currently only Microsoft files are allowed to be opened in an external Application. For example, Word documents can be opened as "Open in App". PDF file open in Teams as a "viewer" and not editable or printable. See screenshots.

19. Comment Tooolbar should have the option to be always open

    The fact that you do not have the option to permanently keep the comment toolbar permanently open is a CONSTANT source of annoyance and should be changed! Open, closed, open, closed, open, closed, open, closed..... It's insanity! And opening the toolbar is laggy to top it off. I see comments that are 4 years old on this topic and Adobe has not adapted to users wishes. Please change it back to the way it used to be or provide the CHOICE to have it always open if that's your preference. Seriously.

20. ALIGN OBJECTS

    PLEASE bring back the ALIGN OBJECTS function. STOP removing key features. Do you actually use the product. How would you even consider removing this feature?

    DOES ANYONE in adobe product management have a reason for this RIDICULOUS move. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!
