3. Error restoring autosave after crash

   When autosave is turned on Acrobat periodically writes .tmp files to the autosave location containing annotations since the last time the file was saved. If Acrobat is forced to quit without saving the open file, upon restart it detects the presence of the .tmp file and offers to restore the changes. At that point that .tmp file is still in the autosave folder.

   Immediately after the user accepts that offer, Acrobat deletes the .tmp file and returns an error saying the file cannot be found or read and as a result all changes have been lost.

   This problem has existed for at least 2 or 3 years and is apparently a common experience as evidenced by numerous complaints revealed by a Google search for this issue. It is an extremely serious issue as it can wipe out hours of work. For me the problem often occurs when I have left my computer for a while and Windows 10 applies updates and restarts.

   This is easily reproduceable and I have tried all sorts of things to work around it, like copying the .tmp file before restarting Acrobat. but nothing works.

   One of the most frustrating parts of this is even if I preserve the .tmp file, Acrobat does not provide any function or action to manually import the annotations. The code must be there, otherwise the autosave function would have no purpose. So even if you cannot easily fix the bug, how about just providing a command line function or built-in action to initiate the process? I have a .tmp file now with a number of time consuming annotations which will take me hours to re-do.

   How about either restoring it for me or giving me a little tool to do it?

   I can provide the files if you want them.

4. unable to verify subscription status

   Adobe Acrobat Standard keeps saying connection status check your internet connection can't verify subscription. Password is correct. Spoke with support and because we have Trend AV apparently this is a known issue. Need a fix ASAP

5. Better support for keyboard shortcuts to markup documents

   I have been using Adobe products for Graphic Design and Publishing work for many years, and for most of it my co-workers and I have stuck to paper printouts and pencils for markup. Now that we're all working from home, we're relying on Acrobat and PDF markup tools and I'm so frustrated by how unintuitive this program is, compared with InDesign, which I use on a daily basis. I am used to switching from one tool to another with keystrokes that are deep in muscle memory, and I can use them in one way or another when I open Photoshop. But Acrobat's tools are extremely difficult to use. Why can't I assign keystrokes? Why are there no keystrokes for the tool I use most often ["insert text here"]. If I accidentally hit a particular key it takes me out of commenting to another area entirely and I need to undo everything to get back to commenting. I know I'm not the only person in the publishing world who is really hamstrung by the limitations of this program for working in a Covid world and, frankly, I don't expect us to ever go back to the old paper markup days. Please consider upgrading the program for people who are using it every day!

6. Ability: Selecting multiple fields while in the "Request Signatures" to allow group assigning

   Creating the option to select multiple fields while in "Request Signatures" so the creator can assign multiple fields to a signer.
   Many times a creator needs a signature, a date, and an initial. Creating the capability of the creator to select all of these fields at once, then edit the requirements and assign would significantly cut down on time and missteps. This problem arises when a form has been auto populated with fields and the creator must click on each, individual field to assign. As of right now the creator can only select one at a time and if they select multiple the only option is to delete the fields.

   A well designed nice looking dark reading mode for the windows version like ios and android. the ios and android modes have a nice simple dark mode switch much like many apps and operating systems of today now have. I find it's clunky and outdated to still have the only option for changing PDF document viewing options to a night mode-ish for reading at night only in the accessibility options.. a simple switch for on off would be VERY overdue on this relatively expensive product. I find it rather odd that it still does not despite the mobile options already having this! lol sorry but I have to laugh as I can't believe UI designers haven't even added it in the last 3 years yet. PLEASE. this is highly overdue and I think would be a very popular feature.

8. Auto-name drag-and-drop extracted pages

   Hello,

   My company is in need of a feature that allows the user to control the auto-naming of drag and drop extract pages from Adobe Acrobat.

   Currently, when selecting a few pages from an existing PDF, dragging and dropping them into a file folder onto the computer, the file created is automatically named "Untitled Extract Pages."

   I have a PDF with 400 pages. I have to extract 2-3 at a time and manually rename them. This wouldn't be an issue if they all needed different names, but I need them to keep the same name as the parent file with no change. So if my big PDF is named "ABC123" then I need every file that is extracted from that PDF to be auto-named "ABC123"

   I hope this is clear, and I'm happy to elaborate. I would be very thankful if someone could contact me about this feature, as I need it sooner rather than later for my company.

9. Adobe Acrobat - Excel Cell Contents Paste As Image

   Adobe Acrobat version 21.001.20135 appears to have a bug related to pasting contents from Excel and LibreOffice. The contents will paste in as an image instead of text in the focused textbox being edited. Troubleshooting this with Adobe support had no luck, but Adobe support was able to successfully downgrade me to version 20.013.20064, which does not have this issue. Thank you.

10. ungroup highlighted text

    Individual, multiple text highlights are created one after another and some can become automatically grouped, making it impossible to go back and delete just one of the highlights. Please offer the option to ungroup the highlights.

11. Remove watermarks and headers\footers created by other apps

    Hello , Team ADOBE , The acrobat pro dc should have a feature which can remove watermarks and headers\footers created by other pdf editor , i know its hard but we should have an option to select an object as watermark and remove it from all the pages , we need to manually remove such watermarks from all the pages , if we can set that kind of algorithm than we can choose which thing to remove from all the pages , it would be good , i have tried the adobe preflight too ,but does not work , so please bring that feature soon.

12. Stop the Adobe Desktop Service.exe from memory hogging

    Adobe should fix this (Desktop Service) supporting application for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from taking up so much memory as a background process. Currently about 240 MBytes of memory. If all it is doing is checking the licence, why does it need so much space??!

13. Save Toolbar and Edit>Preference Customizations

    I spent several hours customizing my work space (toolbars and preferences). Unfortunately, I had to reinstall Acrobat Pro DC. To my dismay, once reinstalled all my customizations were gone and I had to redo them all. There should be a way to save all customizations and implement them should a reinstall be necessary. It would be nice to have them all in one file that could be stored either on my computer or in my cloud account.

14. Signing in

    Every few days I have to sign into acrobat before continuing. It texts my phone and then I have to put my password in. Really? This is completely over the top and no other services do this. It is a waste of my time and really frustrating - can you let me know if there is a way to ensure I stay signed in please

16. Two up + cover page option for page display.

    I would like to view documents designed with a cover and spreads as two up. There is a two up option currently, but I want it to ignore the cover.

    Currently you can only do this by changing the document settings, saving, quitting and reopening it.

    I don't want to edit the document to change the view, and I am unable to do so with restricted files.

17. Option that allows for only one window to open on taskbar when you hover or click on Adobe

    Currently when you have more than one thing opened and you want to get back to it and you don't have Adobe open it brings up all your tabs and then you have to click on the specific one. I want to have an option that allows you to just click on the program and for it to open right away on the last tab you were on rather than having that extra step of clicking on the specific PDF ever time

18. Confirmation box when OCR is complete

    I have a lot of documents to scan, save, and upload and I wish that Acrobat DC would put a little confirmation box so I can remember if I have performed the OCR already, because for some reason it is easy to forget and there seems to be no way to confirm the OCR has been performed and no way to set Acrobat to provide such confirmation.

20. While in PREPARE FORM

    While adding and editing Fields in the PREPARE FORM it should not be letting you edit text on the form. Its acting like your in the EDIT PDF if you click in the white area of a text area.
    If you are trying to make these 2 work together then the EDIT PDF should allow you to change the fields.
