  1. When I go to change the preferences > general, the dialogue box is too large, and i cannot access the cancel or okay button. I either have to change my display resolution to make it show in its entirety on the screen, or i have to tab, tab, tab to 'hopefully' get to the button to select it, without seeing it. All other dialogue boxes to the other sections seem to resize perfectly, utilizing a second or third column of text, i.e.Preferences> Page Display. Fortunately, this issue with the General section seems to be the only one.

  3. I was trying to use the Compare Files tool with two PDFs, but when I clicked "Compare" I was prompted with this error "Expected a dict object." (See CleanShot 2020-09-17 at 16.16.02) Afterward the Acrobat application ceased to function normally and I had to restart. After attempting to open one of the files, it became clear that the PDF was damaged in some way. I'm not able to attach the damaged PDF here, but I'm sure it's easy to find one to reproduce the error.

A more helpful error message in the Compare Files tool would be one that…

  4. At the moment it seems that the "Prompt when closing multiple tabs" setting ONLY applies to the action of closing a a window using the X button.

It would be much less frustrating when you accidentally hit CTRL+Q (when trying ti actually hit CTRL+W) if Adobe at least gave you a prompt before closing everything.

  5. When DC Pro is set to single page display (scrolling is easier/more precise) ctrl+a only selects the current page

Adobe say this is not a bug, but I believe it is because ctrl+a should select all, not just the page being viewed

As this basic functionality is altered by a simple setting it is a bug

So they suggested making a feature request

Please make DC Pro select all (not just the current page) when the select all shortcut is used while in single page mode

  6. The speed of opening and navigating PDFs is very slow on macOS. Using the Metal graphics API to boost performance would be great. Comparing the speed at which Readdle's PDF Expert opens and navigates PDFs to that of Acrobat's shows that improvements can be made to the speed of rendering PDFs.

  8. I recently had to install Adobe Acrobat Pro and I would like to be able to remove the icons and replace them with text only menus. If I wanted to look at hieroglyphs I would tune in the Stargate series on MeTV.

Is there a way to change preferences or an add-on that will remove the box-of-crayons-colors icons and display text menus automatically? I don't use the application often enough to memorize the mouse-over texts. It's tiresome enough dealing with texter's shortcut abortions of the English language these days. I'd rather not have to play a game of Concentration when…

  10. The default unit setting for a fresh installation or a new updated version of Acrobat is always on Inches. even though my system is set to metric and I'm in Europe.

It would be great if Acrobat would choose a default unit that fits the system settings or regional standard.

  11. Please allow resizing/expansion of the side panel used for formatting and tab order, etc. There is a horizontal scroll bar on the bottom, but if you have longer field names, it is inconvenient to have to scroll back and forth. For those with wider monitors, this should be expandable horizontally or a pop-out window that is expandable.

  12. At the bottom of the tools panel information is located about my adobe plan.
The issue with this information area is, that it is animated. When opening Acrobat, this area is fist empty, then it pops up information about adobe cloud and then changes to information about my plan.

This is the only part of the GUI that's "animated". This is very distracing, as a GUI should - without user input - only be "animated" if there is something important going on.
For daily work (which might include opening and closing acrobat a lot) the information presented there is not…

  13. Make feedback simple. Like it used to be for software. Just click on a feedback button in the application and type your feedback. This web based, second party system is absurd.

  14. Add a setting for zoom wheel reverse.
Push should mean the part or doc on screen goes away from you… eg work goes away
Pull the wheel toward you … pulls the item / work towards you…

  16. A dynamic date stamp tool that does NOT show the user's name and also does NOT show the time would be very helpful especially now while working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. My physical custom date stamper is in the office. We need a date but do not need my name or the time stamped on documents we receive. I was asked this morning to remove an Acrobat date stamp because management does not want my name on the date stamp.

  17. There should be an easier way to delete un-wanted contracts. Sometimes you may have made a contract on accident or maybe you no longer want that contract on file. When this happens you shouldn't have to jump thru hoops do simply delete an Adobe sign document. Like every other program in the world, there should be a delete option that pops up with a simple right click.

  18. In Acrobat DC, when viewing in untabbed mode, the part of the toolbar that shows the current zoom level and allows the user to type in the desired zoom percentage is missing. It appears on the floating/vanishing toolbar when page controls are moved out of toolbar, but not on the main toolbar.

Please add this feature back to the toolbar. Using tabbed viewing is NOT a solution. This should have never been removed in the first place. Let me repeat, having to use tabbed viewing is NOT a solution.

  19. Hi

With the update, we got find window as black.
Its such a poor design as the black window always come in the way of screen capture and while printing, printer uses so much ink.

Request to make the find window light colour, it will also help our eyes!

  20. If I change the document to fit to one page, every time I push another bookmark in the document it is back to full page scrolling view. It takes forever to scroll through one page of document in this view for some reason. Please fix this feature.
