  1. When the system setting on macOS for "Show scroll bars" is set to "Always", Adobe Acrobat does not honor this setting.

If you toggle the setting in macOS system settings to another option and then back to "Always", the scroll bar shows up.

If you close the PDF or Acrobat, or open a different PDF, the scroll bar disappears.

The scrollbar should always be present on all PDF's when this setting is checked in the macOS System Settings, OR an option should be available in the Adobe Acrobat preferences with similar functionality.

  2. The latest page layout is so confusing. Why did you do this to us?! It's one thing to update looks and add/subtract features. But you swapped sides. Now all editing tools are on the left and navigation (bookmarks etc.) are on the right. Why do this? That just slows us down and confuses us when we are used to it being editing on the right and navigation on the left. There doesn't seem to be a purpose in swapping them except to torment us. Perhaps you can add a preference in settings where we can make the layout as we…

  3. My idea is that "rearraigning" everything doesn't make things better. People who use tools like to have the function remain the same. This new interface is terrible. Changing the way things look all the time should be left to social media pages. Adobe is for work. My workflow is not improved with this change, it's worse.

  4. My Idea is this: stop wasting precious developer time fixing things that AREN'T BROKEN! Geez, who wants to learn an all-new interface in in order to do the same work they've always done? Geez, you people have lost touch with reality. Software is supposed to support the users, making their productivity higher, and easier. Changfing interfaces does not do that Thank God someone was smart enough to include a Disable option! But you should have saved your energy for something important. Because all that time and effort making a less useable interface for me was a complete waste. Blind users…

  5. Go back to the old layout appearance as this new one sucks. You have taken what once just lived in the old file menu bar, hen taken it and shifted repeatable functionalities to the right hand side bar in the previous "new layout", but this "new simplified" layout takes that and now gives you two side bars and almost no functional "settings" adjustments you can make all from one place. You have decentralized all the settings, options, and tools thus making it look more sparse but in actuality making it less simplified.

    Do better.

Don't change the appearance and functionalities…

  6. I genuinely am not enjoying the new UI on Adobe. It is clunky, time-consuming, not intuitive, and really quite difficult to navigate. I know it's new, but I've been using it for weeks now and really am struggling with it.

  7. It is extremely frustrating that the scroll bars are missing on the September 2023 release of Acrobat DC - they re-appear on a mouse click, but do not respond to Wacom pen. So to scroll through a PDF, the pen has to be put aside. This is slowing down my work considerably, and there has been a lot of frustration expressed in the Adobe Support Community, especially among Wacom users. This is not a behaviour that we can be expected to "get used to" or "love", as it has not been designed with the user in mind.

  8. Please keep the classic look of Adobe Acrobat Pro. The new, bare bones look is very unattractive and not user friendly at all.

  9. The new version is horrible. Definitely was not created to save time, but to waste it instead. I have wasted so much time in the last couple of days trying to find workarounds to the options that are now gone! What happened to "Undo"? Now if a mistake is made, the whole document has to be deleted and started over. Also, the "fill in forms fields" doesn't stay open so when a document needs several marks, it has to be re-opened every time, which is annoying. And don't get me started on documents that you have to enable editing! None…

  10. Roll back your update and don't make us use this awful, unintuitive, garbage new user interface. It is horrible, you have done an awful job of soliciting average user feedback.

  11. I have been using Acrobat for many years, and have mainly rolled with the punches when it came to updates to the user interface. I am sorry, but with this latest update I can no longer sit idly by and suffer through it. If there is any way you could allow your users to continue using the old user interface, I would be eternally grateful. I am trying to be productive at work, and do not have the time to re-figure out how to do everything on a program I am very adept at using. Thank God I just finished…

  12. The new update seems to be SO SLOW and crashed on me twice.
I was unable to figure out how to employ the delete-an-item function in "Edit" (by dragging over a section and clicking delete) in the new format and switched back to the previous format to be able to do this. Super annoyed.

  14. why would you do this with no warning or training in the middle of the workday? no doubt a dumb idea by a gen z intern who doesnt depend on this for any ACTUAL work, because what individual with any common sense would have done this to thousands of workers? I'll bet this BS dropped the NASDAQ a point or two. #ADOBEIDIOTS

  15. Acrobat Pro Version 2023.006.20320 Not showing document size in lower left. "Always show document page size" is on, but will not show. Other users reporting same bug. Also with this update scroll bars do not show up unless you begin to scroll with mouse touch and disappear quickly before you can grab. Both of these are problems with professional use of this software.

  16. Put it back the way it was. Changing the way it looks does not help and makes it harder to use. I am wasting my time looking for stuff. This new interface sucks.

  17. Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

  18. I do not like AT ALL the new format. 99.9% of what I do for work is receive pdfs save them to my files and attach them a eDocs to my invoices. There is no simple way to Save As anymore and it tells me I can go back to old version but ALAS there is no way to do that that is visible on the home page that came up with the document. I DONT WANT TO ALTER THE DOCUMENT AND THAT SEEMS TO BE ALL THE CHOICES I JUST WANT TO SAVE AS, WHICH IS NOT A CHOICE.

  19. The old page organizing display was much better. The images of each page were clearer and large. When I zoom in in the new format, I still can't see that page numbers. I HATE it so much and although with printed permit sets its great, when it's a digital sign and sealed document, it is impossible for me.
Also, the toolbar I can't get rid of is terrible. Sometimes I need a screenshot or something and I can't get it because the toolbar is in the way no matter where I move it to. Why did you make all of…

  20. Why does anyone at Adobe think it's a good idea to move everything around and make it more difficult to keep workflow going? The new interface is not intuitive and causes me to spend way more time just trying to figure out where the tools went than it actually takes to do whatever I need to do. This is not good. In fact, I'd say I absolutely hate it. From the rest of the comments I see about the same thing, I would say I'm not alone in this!

    Why, Adobe? Just why!!!!!!!!!
