AI is ruining Adobe
I get so many AI prompts that I am ready to cancel my entire companies subscription and switch to Foxit. Even when I select "no", they are incessant - all day, every day. They are ruining a product I used to really enjoy.
Maybe use AI to figure out how to add the option for AI into your program, but once a user declines it, it STOPS ASKING.1 vote -
Multiple issues when editing and handling PDF files after latest update.
After the latest update, several problems occur when working in Adobe Acrobat Reader:
It is not possible to select text by clicking and dragging the cursor.
It is not possible to paste copied text into the document.
It is not possible to resize text boxes/fields.
Instead, the text wraps to a new line instead of allowing the text box to be expanded.
It is not possible to drag a tab out of the window to open it in a new window, which prevents working with multiple PDF files side by side. These issues significantly impact usability and make normal PDF…

Get rid of the stupid "Summarise your PDF Quickly" that pops up EVERYTIME I start Adobe
This is idiotic and invasive. It pops up even if I open a one page form that clearly cannot be summarised and there would be zero point in summarising it. If your dumba5s AI cannot tell when it is not needed, why the **** would l use it?
Pop ups that cannot be turned off are completely unacceptable. If I had any other choice, I would be quitting Adobe.
Paperclip anyone?

Save comments without "posting" them
Please configure DC so that comments are automatically saved the moment they are created! Why do I have to "post" it to my offline PDF file that no one else has access to? I had to write the same comment three times, which was very frustrating. I'm using the latest version of Acrobat on a Windows 11 computer.

Allow users to replace or hide the Windows login name shown in Acrobat Preflight reports.
Adobe Acrobat Preflight reports automatically include the Windows login name from Preferences > Identity. This field cannot be edited, replaced with a professional identity, or omitted from the report.
A Windows login name is not an appropriate external report identity. These reports are often shared with printers, clients, vendors, and other outside parties. Including the login name can unnecessarily disclose a valid system account name, an employee’s personal information, or an organization’s internal account-naming convention. It may also appear within local file paths elsewhere in the report.
Please add a separate identity setting for Preflight reports that allows users or…

Overall Assessment of Acrobat Pro 2026
I posted a critique earlier of Acrobat’s new UI, particularly the clumsy way users have to move in and out of the AI Assistant and navigate between different workspaces. After spending more time with Acrobat 2026, however, I want to walk back some of those criticisms. I’m beginning to view this release a little differently.
Perhaps Adobe might have been better served by releasing Acrobat 2026 as a beta. I’m sure the development team is continuing to refine the program, and hopefully we’ll see improvements soon. That said, Acrobat 2026 includes some remarkable advances.
One improvement addresses something I’ve been…

Acrobat Pro prevents Windows 10 from Sleeping or Hibernating
Adobe Acrobat (version 2026.001.21789) is preventing Windows 10 from sleeping or hibernating, regardless of how it is launched. Sleep is not re-enabled until Acrobat is exited.
Additional diagnostic information is below. Here are the results from a powercfg /requests command showing the process which is preventing sleep. These processes disappear from this list after Acrobat is closed.
PS C:\Windows\system32> powercfg /requests

Acrobat Pro 2026 does not display third-party installed fonts in Edit PDF font list
Installed fonts should appear in the Acrobat font list and be available for use when adding text.
Microsoft fonts such as Arial, Calibri, and Times New Roman appear, but installed third-party fonts such as Star Strella and Dancing Script do not appear anywhere in the font list.
Troubleshooting performed:
Repaired Acrobat installation.
Restarted Windows.
Reinstalled fonts.
Installed fonts for all users.
Verified fonts are present in Windows Fonts and available in Microsoft Word.
Tested multiple third-party fonts.
Tested in a newly created blank PDF.This appears to be an Acrobat font detection/enumeration issue because the fonts are properly installed and…

Home Screen Disaster in New Acrobat
Once again, the total morons on the Acrobat Development Team decided to again make our lives difficult. What idiot created that awful Home Screen when the user launches the new Acrobat? And the stupid moron didn't even provide a preference setting to permit the end user to choose whether we want to see it or not. When is Adobe going to start listening to users? Can you really afford these *****-ups as web apps are increasing and rivaling many of your software applications? Remember Quark? Are you going to continue down a path and follow that company to extinction because…

Redaction annotation contains malformed /OC entry
Acrobat produces /OC[0.858826 0.203918 0.145096] when a new redaction annotation is created. This appears to be an erroneous copy of the /C entry from the same annotation. Per Table 166 of the ISO standard, /OC is supposed to be a dictionary not an array. So it's not even well-formed, much less correct.
The /QuadPoints [] also looks dubious. It should be absent, not empty?
In terms of efficiency, a number of other entries are present which have no effect since other entries over-ride them. For example the /DA when /OverlayText is the empty string. And in fact the OverlayText itself.…

Thai UI localization and OCR support for Acrobat
Thai OCR has been requested by users for many years. I personally requested Thai OCR support as early as 2018, and another similar request was made in 2019. At the time, users were told that the request had been communicated to the relevant team.
Yet, nearly eight years later, Thai is still not officially supported for OCR in Acrobat. Thai is also still unavailable as a user interface language.
Thailand has a population of more than 70 million people, making Thai a major language with a substantial potential user base. Adobe already supports Thai text in PDF documents, so the…

Integrated flipbook Export Option
We need an INTEGRATED flipbook option when exporting to pdf from InDesign or simply creating a flipbook from a pdf. Organizations don't want to send users to other sites to get their branded publications. We want to own our flipbooks and have the ability to attach, upload, and post on our websites. Many plug-in versions change fonts or have banner ads unless you pay to subscribe. This should be a native feature with Adobe.

The AI ads are obnoxious and making it harder to find what I need
The Create tab is busy and bloated and makes it hard to find the basic function my staff and I use that tab for. We just need to combine image files into pdfs. Also, making all the tool icons the exact same color has made it more difficult to quickly spot the ones we need for a given task, and bumping the All Tools tab to the right of where it once was feels like a trick to get us to click on that PDF Spaces thing instead. These UI changes are incredibly annoying.

Better Customer Service
I just got off the phone with a customer service representative that was more than willing to cancel my services rather than give me a discount that I asked for since I've been getting billed annually back in 2018. It certainly does not pay to be a long time subscriber so I'll be using one of the many free services that are available online now. Update: After another call to customer support per their request I was given options for stated discounts available. Finding None. Upon telling the representative that there were no discounts she gave me a direct phone…
