Inconsistent behaviour on XFA forms filled data between Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro
We have clients reporting an issue that causes an inconsistant behaviour and user experience opening PDF files that contains LiveCycle XFA forms.
Our users receive PDF generated files from government containing those XFA forms with filled data. If user open that PDF file on Adobe Reader, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or any other PDF reader other than Adobe Acrobat Pro, they see filled data regarding "person A". If they open the same file on Adobe Acrobat Pro, as Acrobat Pro can identify that LiveCycle XFA form, it shows different filled data "person B".
As you expect, this causes different user experiences and misinformation as our customers (which are lawyers) need to process that data and they have different experiences.
As a workaround we thought of having both adobe reader and adobe acrobat pro installed but since Adobe doesn't provide that option anymore we couldn't provide that workaround.
Another workaround would be to have by default opening PDF files with Microsoft Edge and then when the user needs, they "open as" the file they want to get Adobe Acrobat Pro functionalities, which is also not ideal.
Please note users with Adobe Reader won't suffer this issue of XFA forms since Adobe Reader doesn't provide advanced features (XFA dynamic form processing).
Our suggestion would be to provide an user interface option like having those XFA forms disabled by default and showing a warning if user want's to have that feature enabled so the user could have that feature enabled. This behaviour would work very similar like Microsoft does with macros on the documents (by default they come disabled and if you want, you need to allow it to work).
This way you keep the functionality present and let the user sets the behaviour they want and you guarantee that user only need Adobe Acrobat Pro by default.
Alternatively to our suggestion would be to allow to have both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro installed. This scenario would work but isn't also the ideal solution.
I think having a control switch would be the perfect option as you won't require to have two pieces of software doing the same thing.

The rules of Sudoku may seem challenging at first, but once you understand them, solving the puzzle is very easy. First, what is a Sudoku puzzle? It is a square divided into a 9x9 grid containing 9 smaller 3x3 areas within. Each of these smaller boxes, or cells, must be filled with the numbers 1 through 9.
Sudoku puzzles come with some of the squares preloaded, to give you clues as to which numbers to complete. Once the first few boxes are resolved and gone, you can really start moving forward with the other rows and columns. . Your goal is to make sure that every column, row, and grid contains the numbers 1 to 9 without repetition.
Tips for Beginners
Sudoku is not complicated https://sudokuhit.com/easy/. It is a game of reason and logic. The puzzle will give you all the clues you need right from the start, but we have a few tricks up our sleeves to help you solve the puzzle as quickly as possible!
Scan the board. Start by analyzing the pre-filled squares and see what numbers are already included. Start by locating all the 1's and then follow the line. This will help you see which rows are missing certain numbers. Once you start placing numbers, you can use the process of elimination to help decide which number comes next. This is a basic but important skill to learn to play Sudoku.
Stay alert. Scan the board constantly throughout your game to keep track of numbers already played. If you already have a complete row or column, you can use that information to help solve the rest of the puzzle. Take it slow and try to figure out one grid, row, or column at a time.
Make a plan. If you get stuck along the way, start planning possibilities in your empty boxes. On scrap paper, imitate your grid and pencil on the possibilities. That will help you determine which numbers occupy the empty spaces and further help you with the elimination process.
Benefits of Sudoku
Sudoku puzzles can help exercise your brain. These puzzles help improve concentration and logic. As the puzzle is completed and your options become more limited, you'll need to dig deeper into your brain to solve the rest of the game. Playing Sudoku requires concentration and mental dexterity throughout the game.
This fuels the improvement of your memory. Sudoku puzzles require you to consider what numbers you have previously put into squares and rows in your puzzle. Sudoku is a memory and logic test that pushes you to consider every step forward and every step you just took.
A game of Sudoku can help calm the mind and keep stress at bay, by giving your mind something else to focus on. It gives you control back when you can feel the control isn't there.
Now that you know how to play Sudoku, are you ready to get started? Jump in and train your brain with a Sudoku game at Coolmath Games.

Link Type: Polygon? (Currently you can only draw rectangle source links)
When creating a link within the "Edit" tools, it currently only allows for a "Visible Rectangle" or "Invisible Rectangle". I'd like to see the program offer a polygon link option. Per the attachment, our company uses roof architecture drawings to link to a page in the document that provides further detail of the roof area.
With the example attached roof area 6, the roof area is a irregular polygon. With the current functioning we end up having to draw several rectangles to cover the irregular area. I am proposing a polygon function be added that way we can draw a polygon over the area we are wanting our client to click on.

PDF size compression / reduction
Dear Team,
We have been using adobe acrobat for size compression of PDF files to upload on various government website. However, it is not at all effective in size reduction or compression. It hardly reduces the size even after going for advance optimization and reducing the pixel sizes or selecting extreme low option.
On the other hand we notice that free websites such www.ilovepdf.com or smallpdf.com or pdf2go.com reduces the size of the same pdf files into half whereas paid app of adobe acrobat fails to do that.
Request you to please look into this immediately.

Floating Tools Bar
This new floating, unhideable toolbar needs to go! Give me the old tools interface back. It is unfathomable to me that Adobe is just going to push out this interface with no choice for the customer. It might seem like a small change, but this appears to have been done with very little thought for the user.

You made the app even worse with this new interface
Really, change it back to the old version and demote the team that thought this was a good idea.

Use A4 for countries outside US/Canada
Only US/Canada use Letter page size as a default. The rest of the world pretty much uses the ISO 216 standard - i.e. mainly A4 - yet Adobe Acrobat Pro doesn't seem to provide the ability to change the page size.
Within Adobe Acrobat Pro we need both: (a) the ability set the default page size to A4; (b) the ability to easily change the size of an existing page to A4 (e.g. when creating a form).

Bug on program start
Not being able to view participants in side pane when first opening the program.
Steps to reproduce and observed result:
Once the Acrobat Pro is open and I go to the agreements, I wait a moment for them to load. I click on one of the files to view the information pane to see which people are involved in that file to see who completed the form. When I go to click the tab to view the people, the pane closes and I have to click the file in the list again. It will do this a few times. I have found that if I click the file and wait about 30 seconds to a minute, it would allow me to view the names. After the program runs for a bit it seems to not have the issue anymore. It does have a long lag in switching to the next file to view the information in the pane.Environment: (OS: Windows 11 Home, 64 bit, 32GB RAM)
Expected result: Expect it to load in a few seconds, then allow me to click the file, wait no more than 3 seconds to open the pane and allow me to expand the field to see the name of the person that submitted the form.

dpi
This concerns the setting of the resolution when exporting a PDF as an image file.
I would be grateful if the resolution could be displayed in dpi, regardless of whether the unit of length is set to inch or cm.In Japan, the unit of length is usually cm, but dpi is used for resolution.
Currently, when the unit of length is set to cm, the resolution setting is also displayed in pixel per cm, which needs to be converted to dpi.1 vote -

Default Comment Name no longer changes
Running Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2024.001.20604 on a Mac.
Previously, we could change the commenter name and make the new commenter name a default by editing the comment "Properties > General" and then checking "Make Properties Default", as detailed here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-cc-comment-name-change/td-p/9307260
With the most recent update, "Make Properties Default" has no effect. It continually defaults back to each individual's Adobe User Name with every new comment. We can change each of them by hand, but cannot change the default behavior.
We can enable Edit>Preferences to "Always use Log-in name for author name", but that will only use the log-in name of the computer, which isn't helpful.

signature
There is an ever-going issue with how to replace a signature that have been used once with another one. The problem has been there for more than a couple of years now, and I truly find it strange that lots of users have approached you about the same but you still did not fix it!
Whenever you try replacing the existing signature that you have used the last time with a new one by clicking the symbol (x) or (-) that will never workout, unless you repeated this ten and sometimes hundreds of times! It very frustrating and time consuming to the extent that you reach a saturation point and close Adobe Acrobat PRO and switch to word or Paint Apps to insert the signature from there.
Any suggestions or perhaps a fix for this issue.

Restore Fill & Sign to desktop version of Adobeep1gd@@r
Fill & sign is not available on the downloaded version of Acrobat on my new computer, despite being on the latest version on my old one. I have tried adding it to the tool bar (using the pen nib icon), but it does not show when I save the toolbar.
This means that the only option to sign documents through the desktop version is via a certificate which requires one to sign up to a paid subscription option, or by creating a digital certificate which is long-winded and time-consuming.
Fill & Sign is available on the online version, but of course this means one cannot sign documents when offline.

Background/Watermark should not be within the "edit pdf" panel
There's no way to add/edit background/watermark without activating the whole "edit pdf" function, which processes the document, taking time and often introducing unexpected changes to the content in order to make it "editable". Previously the background/watermark function did just that. If I'm working with a background/watermark it's probably because I want to leave the original content unchanged. This also leads to longer save times. I can no longer reliably use this feature.
