Highlight
I'm trying to highlight in my document, but when I go to the floating toolbar, the highlight button first expands so that I can choose highlight, underline, or strikethrough. I tried editing the toolbar so that I just have a highlight button, like you can with Stikethrough and underline. But you can add it as a standalone button. It's making highlighting very tedious. Now I'm also copying some of the text into a Word document to keep notes. Once I've copied it, the smart pop-up that allows me to highlight immediately disappears, so I then have to reselect my text, which makes the process longer. I just need a highlight button that is pinned to my toolbar, please.

Add an action button to close window when signature is complete.
In the Conga CLM environment we have to "x out" of the Adobe window to get back to the Agreement Record. We would like an action button that closes the Adobe window and returns the user to the Agreement Record. We had this until the last upgrade in April 2025.

Make links open in new window
When inserting a link in a PDF, we need to be able to specify that the link open in a new window. Our old version of Acrobat had this functionality - it was part of the process of inserting the link. That option is no longer available and it really needs to come back.

Adobe Does Not Understand Their Users
There are so many parts of Acrobat that seem completely out of touch with how users actually use the software. Who in their right mind would make UI element states save in EVERY SINGLE DOCUMENT? The bookmarks bar, the tools pane, the page view and scrolling method, etc. should all be part of the default software UI settings. I don't open the same PDF 20 times a day, so changing the view setting and then saving the document doesn't do anything for me. In fact, I mostly work with controlled documents, so I can't even save them if I wanted to. I open dozens and dozens of PDFs a day, and every one of them changes my UI. So every time I open a document, I have to hide 3 things, change the zoom level, and press f8 and f9. Please, for the love of whatever, separate the UI settings from the documents. Do you even use your own software? How does this not drive you crazy?

Track Comments Feature Must Be Activated
We are currently facing an issue with the "Track Comments" feature under "Send for Comments" in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat:
In the latest version, the feature cannot be added.
In the previous version, the feature could be added, but it appeared in a disabled state and could not be activated.
This functionality is essential for our document review workflows and must be enabled as soon as possible.We have already contacted Adobe Support, and they advised us to submit this issue as an enhancement request via UserVoice.
However, due to the operational impact, we are requesting immediate internal escalation and resolution.We are currently facing an issue with the "Track Comments" feature under "Send for Comments" in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat:

PDF Edits Not Overwriting Original File as Expected
When editing a PDF in Adobe Reader and clicking "Save," the software unexpectedly prompts the user to select a folder instead of simply overwriting the original file. Even worse, it only displays a limited list of recent folders, not the original file’s location. This disrupts the user experience by forcing additional navigation steps and increasing the risk of saving the file in the wrong location. It would be nice to have an easy way to make the font, color and text style match that on the document being edited. This feature would be similar to the format painter option used in Microsoft Excel. The user keys the text edits and select a word or two from the documents existing text. Once highlighted, right click the text selection, and select copy format, and then they would select the text they added, right click on it and have an option to "copy format here" or something like that. This would keep documents that have been edited looking mor uniform and professional.

Remove Get Started Box (Not Pop-Up)
I recently installed Adobe Acrobat and found a small, persistent box that lives in the bottom-left corner of the application window. It's labeled "Get Started" and indicates it is a 5 step process. This is not a pop-up, or a separate window, or something that comes and goes. It's a permanent box affixed to the bottom-left (e.g., underneath the list of Tools if Tools is being viewed in the left-hand panel).
I completed all of the steps except the last one, which involves getting Acrobat on your mobile device. Long story short, I could not complete this step. But there is no way to hide, close, or otherwise remove this box.
I found that by disabling "New Acrobat" and then re-enabling it, the box went away. I'm happy that it's gone, but it shouldn't have required the level of effort it took to figure out this solution. I'm hoping Adobe will simply add an 'X' to this box so you can close it if you want.

Allow users to select features to install instead of installing on first use
Users should be presented with a list of features that they want to install so that they are available when needed instead of having to wait for the feature to install when first used. This is infuriating when you are on a deadline and management is screaming for you to hurry up. Also, the notification is too small and can be easily overlooked making the user believe that the app is just broken. Finally, the notification states that you will be notified when installation is complete, but I have never seen a notification in the several times I've installed a feature. So either the notification never happened, or there is no guidance of where to look for the notification. While I'm at it, there seems to be duplication in the UI. Several times I have checked a preference only to have a different UI prompt me for the same preference

CTRL-F / Advanced Find for pages WITHOUT Content

Respectfully requesting the consideration of creating an Adobe PDF function that allows us to use CTRL-F or Advanced Search to find & mark all pages WITHOUT certain content.
This would be a great help for medical record verifications when trying to find all pages that DO NOT contain the patient’s SSN so it can be annotated.
A feature like this would make military operations as well as hospital operations much more efficient as it would not just be isolated to SSN's but case-numbers or serial numbers just as well. Something as simple as an exclude checkbox to hide pages containing the found content or alternatively a way to highlight all pages that do not contain the content being searched for would genuinely be a great help.Thank you all for your time and have a great day.
