Open Chat with Adobe Support through Help
It would be helpful if Support Chat were linked in the Help menu for paid accounts of Adobe Acrobat. I want to ask a question but have to navigate through a series of doorways to find someone to talk to.

```The API detects that the email has been used in the process before and denies any change. Due to the nature of human beings to make mistakes from time to time it would be great to have the possibility to use the email address used before to avoid having to start over the whole process completely.
We had a call with Adobe support regarding this very issue and were asked to submit a change request for it.In order to enable users of our platform to change their email address we also want to allow them to change it back in case of a mistakenly change.
Hi I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro, but I still don't have access to AI assistant. Is it a regional thing. I'm in Australia by the way. I have the full subscription for the whole Adobe Suite. I got through the school I work with.
I can access the free sample version through the web browser; however when I log into my Adobe Creative Cloud account on any web browser I can't access the free sample version either.
Please explain.
Kind regards,
horrible new design and layout
the new version of Adobe Acrobat Pro is horrible. The layout is totally counter productive. buttons and toolbars have been moved to places they should not be. this new design is more than a few steps backwards. it is a lot harder to use than before. really really bad redesign
Layout
The new layout is horrible. It is not at all intuitive or user friendly, and was completely unnecessary. Please give us the option to use the old layout!
Enhance Efficiency with ATX Software on the Cloud
ATX software, widely used by tax professionals for its comprehensive features, becomes even more powerful when hosted on the cloud. Transitioning ATX to a cloud-based environment not only optimizes performance but also provides flexibility, security, and scalability for tax professionals and firms.
With cloud hosting, users can access ATX software from any device, at any time, ensuring uninterrupted productivity. This flexibility allows tax professionals to work remotely, collaborate with team members, and serve clients efficiently, regardless of location.
Cloud hosting also enhances data security. Reputable hosting providers offer robust safeguards, including encrypted connections, regular backups, and disaster recovery options, ensuring sensitive tax data is protected against breaches and loss. Furthermore, hosting ATX on the cloud provides scalability, accommodating growing workloads during peak tax seasons without performance lags.
Another advantage is simplified IT management. Cloud providers handle software updates, server maintenance, and technical support, allowing tax professionals to focus on their core tasks instead of worrying about system issues.
By migrating ATX software to the cloud, professionals can improve efficiency, ensure data security, and adapt to the evolving needs of their clients. Trusted providers like Apps4Rent specialize in seamless cloud hosting solutions, making the transition effortless and reliable.
Issues with opening PDFs when one is already open
While using Adobe Acrobat/Reader/Pro version 24.005.20320 (at the time of writing, the latest version) multiple users are experiencing issues with opening PDFs while one is already open.
When opening a file (either from File Explorer, Outlook or any other source), at times if one is already open the second file will simply not open. There are no errors or warnings that appear; the app simply won't open a second tab.
We've tested with both files local to the device as well as on a cloud/network drive, and this has been consistent.
This happens with fresh installations, as well as installations which have been repaired/removed and reinstalled.
The only resolution to the issue we've found is to roll back to a prior version of Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
Remove "Create" Button On Top Menu Bar
Please go back to the old interface! Or let us customize where all the buttons are located and if we want them to show at all. The new "Create" button on the top bar next to the document tabs takes up so much space and is so sensitive that if I have more than 3 documents open at once, I can't move the window around on the screen. You can only click to the right of the tabs to drag the window on your screen and now there's a big create button and 4 icons that don't really need to be there at all, plus a huge blank space before the minimize button. This effectively kills my ability to do most of my work as I often am comparing a document to something in another window and can't move the Acrobat window on the screen at all.
Also, the AI Assist - please let me remove that button, and put a checkbox to select "don't show this pop-up again" because I'm physically dreading every PDF I have to open right now. Any time I click on anything, it seems like I get at least 2 different pop-ups for things I do not want.
All of the tools have moved around, and the left sidebar that keeps opening every time I open a new document is horrible. It takes up so much real estate in the window. Same with the right. When I open a document, I can't see the entire page unless I zoom out because there are all these menu bars on top of it.
The entire interface and functionality is absolutely terrible and has given me nothing but trouble since it was installed.Please go back to the old interface! Restore the read aloud feature in "new" Acrobat.
Where did the Read-Aloud feature in new Acrobat disappear to? This is a major feature loss, and it's simply impractical to expect users to open documents in Reader to access read aloud. Unless this functionality is restored quickly, we'll explore ditching Acrobat in favour of other PDF tools.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! This is horrible with diminished functionality
This is someone else's comment, but so apropos! "Visual designers managed to ruin a tool that was excellent and practical. The environment is now completely different, difficult to use, confusing, with no work flow. I would recommend a book to designers: Steve Krug's "Don't Make Me Think"."
This is impossible to use.
I chose the "user interface" category only because I couldn't select "all of the above." I also created an account for the sole purpose of posting this.
When using "Prepare Form" I'd like to choose the format of the fields so I don't have to change all of them.
Allow option to choose font, font size, etc. when fields are created so I don't have to go back and change all of the fields to the format I use. This can be several hundred times per document and it would sure save me some time and effort.
Acrobat Pro Word->PDF silently omits vector images created on Word for Mac
A figure created in PowerPoint for Mac is pasted into a Microsoft Word for Mac document, but then a Windows based colleague with Adobe Pro and Word for Windows creates a PDF from the docx.
Problem: The figure is silently omitted (blank space on the page, no warning).
(a) BUG: even if you can't render it, doing so without warning is very poor as it means we need to check ALL the figures in a big report to make sure they have come out.
(b) PAIN POINT: there is no obvious vector format for the Mac user to use that doesn't get mangled in cross-platform use. (Maybe Microsoft's fault) and bitmap embedding has other issues.The underlying image format is some kind of Mac embedded PDF, on Windows it says "Microsoft Office Graphic Object" with a low-res image thumbnail. But Microsoft Word's PDF export does at least use the low-res version.
Latest user interface
Bring back the interface where all tools are at the top. In the latest interface various functions are spread out amoung the upper left corner, the top right corner, the bottom left corner, and then some more in the menu bar at the top. Um, who thought this was a good idea?
Route one web form to different approvers
It would be very helpful if you could have one web form that could be routed to different approvers based upon a field response. We have one form that is the same across multiple departments but has different approvers depending on the department. It would be simpler to have one form with multiple approvers than to keep track of a form for each department.
compressing file deletes comments
The last two times I have tried to compress a pdf to share, it has deleted all of my comments on the file. I have now lost hours of work redoing the same markup twice.
