  1. When exporting a PDF with Footnotes into Word, it would be good if the Footnotes would be retained as proper Footnotes.

Right now the text from the Footnotes appears at the bottom of the page in Word, but what looks like Footnotes isn't in the proper Footnote area of the page, nor are the "Footnotes" linked to the Footnote References.

  2. When I export PDF to postscript and next create PDF from that poscript, text is viewed correct, but when I try to copy that text then all or some text is unreadable. I am using Adobe Acrobat DC. Input PDF file could be created in older version of Adobe. Do you have similar problem? I wonder if you have found a solution so you can share with me.

    Thanks,
    Krystian

  3. I couldn't export a document I had just opened in Acrobat Pro DC. But it wouldn't do anything, not even a dialog to let me know what the next step or requirement would be.

  5. I would like to request a normal PDF to Excel/XML conversion capabilities, especially in regards to a table formatting.

I understand that PDF files are not always properly created/formatted, but I do not see how it can be an issue for a good converter. The main point of converting PDF to Excel is to have a properly aligned table. I had experience with a third party PDF editing software, which costs less than Adobe Acrobat Standard and is able to automatically convert PDF to Excel with a seamless table formatting. Why Adobe, who invented Portable Document Format in the early 90s,…

  6. I have reported this three times previously. I work on a MAC. I use InDesign for an important booklet. I have to save it as PDF and then convert it to WORD so that I can split the booklet into sections and email to my other collaborators for editing. In the past, the WORD file comes over with perfect formatting. Then in 2017, it was turning all the formatting into garbage and Adobe fixed it in Sept 2017. Somewhere between the update of March and April 2018, the fix was overwritten and is back to being garbage. I have to…

  7. The Export PDF via Adobe Clouds PDF Pack uses a slider to select the Image quality when converting an Image to PNG, JPG, or TIFF. However, regardless of the setting, it outputs a low quality 792X1024 image. Whereas, Adobe Acrobat Pro can output 5100X6600 PNGs.

If due to subscription, the PDF pack is not able to output different quality Images, there should not be a setting for quality and it should be noted in the subscriptions comparison table.

  12. Prior to mid December 2016 it was possible to create a file in Indesign, export it to Acrobat, export it from Acrobat to Word and then compare it in Microsoft Word (Office 365) with another file that has been subjected to the same workflow.

Since some stage in 2017 an incompatibility was introduced and this workflow ceased to work.

I have tested this workflow by comparing the Word files produced in Deltaview/Workshare and the comparisons are unstable and unusable, so the problem is not just with Microsoft Word's comparison engine (which works fine with files created within Word).

    The issue…

    Hello Vishal,

We apologize for the issue you faced.
Could you please help me with the following information to get clarity on the workflow:

→ The Acrobat dot version you are using
→ The OS platform you are on
→ A screenshot of the message that you are getting

Thanks for your patience and continued support to Acrobat.

  15. The .docx document created does not save formatting to allow updating of TOC or figures. It also removes spaces in some places. I understand from your tech support that this is not a P1 bug, but rather a feature that does not exist. This is a huge short coming as it really makes updating the document difficult. There should at least be a message warning the user that these features are not saved if one tries to export a PDF to MSW.
Also, saving changes to the now .docx document will arbitrarily remove some spaces between words

  18. I've got some text layers 95% opacity with drop shadow applied on Illustrator. Those Ai files are linked into a Indesign doc, exported as PDF but when I view the artworks on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version attached) there is a white box around the text. This only happens on Adobe Acrobat. If I use Mac Preview it looks fine. I can only fix the issue if I make the text layer 100% opacity in Illustrator. This bug only happens when the doc is viewed on any zooms that are 100% or less. It looks fine on 125% or over…
