Bug: export to Word is corrupt (exported files cannot be 'compared').
Prior to mid December 2016 it was possible to create a file in Indesign, export it to Acrobat, export it from Acrobat to Word and then compare it in Microsoft Word (Office 365) with another file that has been subjected to the same workflow.
Since some stage in 2017 an incompatibility was introduced and this workflow ceased to work.
I have tested this workflow by comparing the Word files produced in Deltaview/Workshare and the comparisons are unstable and unusable, so the problem is not just with Microsoft Word's comparison engine (which works fine with files created within Word).
The issue…

Exporting a PDF as a .docx should preserve the formatting
The .docx document created does not save formatting to allow updating of TOC or figures. It also removes spaces in some places. I understand from your tech support that this is not a P1 bug, but rather a feature that does not exist. This is a huge short coming as it really makes updating the document difficult. There should at least be a message warning the user that these features are not saved if one tries to export a PDF to MSW.
Also, saving changes to the now .docx document will arbitrarily remove some spaces between words1 vote -

HTML export
There should be an option to export one PDF file to one HTML file. It should export it like if there is only one symbol in PDF.

white box around text - Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
I've got some text layers 95% opacity with drop shadow applied on Illustrator. Those Ai files are linked into a Indesign doc, exported as PDF but when I view the artworks on Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version attached) there is a white box around the text. This only happens on Adobe Acrobat. If I use Mac Preview it looks fine. I can only fix the issue if I make the text layer 100% opacity in Illustrator. This bug only happens when the doc is viewed on any zooms that are 100% or less. It looks fine on 125% or over…

Exporting files to Word automatically defaults to "Do not spell check" .
When exporting a PDF to Word, the files automatically default to Turn Spell Check off. This has caused numerous errors in my documents as spell check is an necessary function. This is under the Review tab, language Function in Word. I don't understand why Adobe would default to that. It did not used to do that. At the very least, you should offer the option to the individual doing to conversion to have the choice in their setup.

Soft and hard hyphens in German text
German, as we know, is a language with some very long words. Therefore it is very common that words will be automatically split across lines, using what we used to call a "soft" hyphen. When exporting a PDF in German to a Word document, this "soft" hyphen is not distinguished from a "hard" hyphen (i.e. one which is produced by a key-stroke (as in the hyphen used just then).
I was asked yesterday to "Compare" a revised document in German (submitted as a pdf) with a former version in Word, and submit an estimate for updating the English translation. The…2 votesNeed Info

On Web page https://www.zm.gov.lv/mezi/statiskas-lapas/nozares-informacija/buklets-meza-nozare-latvija-?nid=1088#jump
..there is a link to a PDF file "Latvia's Forests During 20 Years of Independence" 2010, https://www.zm.gov.lv/public/ck/files/ZM/mezhi/buklets/MN_20_EN.pdf
The PDF file seems to be a nicely composed PDF with Adobe InDesign CS5.5 (7.5.2).
The font used, Museo Slab is a publicly available font, I bet it should not have any major issues. In the said file, page 47 there…

Incorrect conversion of Greek letters
Hi,
We use Adobe Reader Pro to convert PDFs to DOCX. However, there is a problem when we are trying to convert a PDF having some greek letters (please check the screen I have attached). For example, lowercase Greek Delta is being converted into uppercase Gamma. Is there any possibility to change this behaviour to the correct one?Regards

Vector Rasterise
Rasterise all vectors option in the export PDF dialogue window.
I use lots of detailed vector files in my layouts and when producing PDF's for approval this can be an issue as the files sizes can be too big to send back and forth over email. There are numerous work arounds but none really give a seamless document flow that should happen. Making a JPEG of my files and placing those instead of eps or ai files can be a headache also.
