1. PDF Distiller to work with internal encyrpted documents

   We have internally developed, encrypted PDF forms that we own the intellectual property for. We make these available to internal users to generate publicly distributed documents where company private data has been removed via a control on the page. At present PDF Distiller complains that it cannot re-author an encrypted file. But if we own the encrypted file, there should be a way to internally sign this document for use amongst our users without needing to release the encryption password to our users. There are elements within the form that even our users are not permitted to alter, hence the requirement to encrypt from the outset. We would like a new feature that allows corporate approved encrypted documents to be permitted for distiller use internally.

2. Print Current View

   Either allow print settings to be included in the Quick Tools at the top, or move "Print Current View" as a choice under Pages to Print without having to go to More Options first. I spend a lot of time printing details from PDFs and it takes three extra steps, each time. Also, Print Current View doesn't quite match with the display on the print settings.

3. Print error with grayscale bitmapped files using "print in grayscale (black and white)"

   Discovered a printing error in Acrobat Pro DC. Converted a PDF created in Word using Illustrator to CMYK and just to Black and White. Most of the art is vector or text, however the logos are bitmaps. I copied them into photoshop, converted to grayscale, and pasted them back into Illustrator and saved the file as a high resolution PDF. When printing in Acrobat Pro DC (2019.010.20099) to our Minolta Bizhunb C308, using the function of "Print in grayscale (black and white)" the bitmaps are printed in inverse. File prints correctly without selecting "Print in grayscale (black and white)". Using MacOS 10.13.6. Attached is a screen cap of the print dialog box, and a photo of the result.

4. Can't print pdf files

   Hi,

   I have Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro - Build: 18.11.20040.280397, operating on MACOS High Sierra 10.13.4, with a MFC Brother printer.

   all of a sudden I can't print any files unless I go into advanced settings in the print dialogue box and change to print as image?

   I have updated my mac, my printer and adobe acrobat with no success. I have attached a screenshot of the error msg in my printer queue.

   1. Open Print dialog
   2. Click on “Advance” button
   3. Select “Postscript Options”
   4. Change “Font & Resource Policy” to “send for each page”
   5. Print your documents

5. Fix it

   The new version is worse! Quick Printing out of Outlook, is Slower than snail mail. It freezes up, will not print, will not find files with any color headings in them. Does not find files with headers. It's messing up my morning routine. I have to print a minimum of 50 pdf's from emails everyday. And your new version Cannot handle it.

Many times we have PDF document that has a mix of Letter, Tabloid, Arch C, Arch D, Arch E, Arch F, Eng C, Eng D, Eng F, or custom page size. When sent PDF file to printer that has only tabloid, the printer gives errors about not able to find require paper size that is above tabloid. The feature would scale to fit all pages above tabloid to available print page size (ie letter or tabloid) or give option to send all pages above tabloid to plotter printer B or C that has bigger paper size available. To would make things simpler when have a write up in letter size paper and than drawings in bigger size page and than closeout in letter again.

7. Highlighting doesn't print

8. this program sucks prints out 3 incomplete pages when it should be 1 complete page!!!

   you need to fix this program!!! payed good money for it to print pdf files and thet partially print too many pages.... sucks royally!!!!!

9. pages to print

   please expand the number of characters that we can input into the pages to print space to an unlimited number of characters. It is currently limited to 100 characters. If a characters limit is required, please expand it to 5000 characters. Thank you.

10. Add option to print using system dialog by default

    In my office we have user codes we use when printing. The code is saved into the print driver of each user. When printing from Adobe we are forced to click "properties" before every print, even if we don't need to make any setting changes. If you do not click properties, the user code embedded into the driver is not sent with the print job and it fails with an authentication error at the printer. This is a common problem with many applications. Google Chrome has added the ability to turn off their print preview, and it has solved the issue. MS Edge is useless to me because of this problem. Please add this functionality.

11. print secured PDF fails in latest Acobat Pro build

    New issue with Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20098.
    I am on Mac Mojave, 16.16.7
    Attempting to print a college transcript from Parchment, a Secured PDF. Document Properties, Security tab says Printing should be allowed, but printing fails with "There were no pages selected to print" - see attached screenshot. My office mate has version 2019.010.20071 and can print this document no problem. This is the second bug I have found in this build.

12. Certain characters not searchable in PDF

    In a PDF file created from FrameMaker 2017 by printing a book to a file with Adobe Printer (using the standard job options) and then distilling a .ps file, certain Kanji characters in Meiryo font are not searchable. However, the same characters in MS Gothic font are searchable.

    In the attached PDF file, for example, there are 5 occurrences of character string 入力. 2 of them are Meiryo font (highlighted in yellow) and 3 of them are MS Gothic font (highlighted in pink).

    You cannot find 入力 in yellow (Meiryo) but you can find them in MS Gothic (pink).

    However, if you copy and paste yellow 入力 within the PDF file, you can find the yellow 入力 but not the pink 入力.

    入力 is just one example of those unsearchable characters and there are a lot more examples if I create a PDF from FrameMaker 2017 by Save as PDF.

    I posted this issue in the Japanese Community Forum about 3 weeks ago, but no one has responded yet. I believe this is a bug and would like it to be fixed.

13. Restore "Always show document page size" to Acrobat DC

    Please restore this functionality - in XI it was in Edit/Preferences/Page Display. There is no way to know the page size without hovering the mouse in the lower left corner. Odd-size page sizes hang print jobs, wasting time and resources. It was easier to quickly scroll through 100+ pages and look for the oddities. Without this, we have to check every single page.

    I just upgraded to Adobe Pro last week and today whenever I open a PDF it crashes after a few seconds. I also am not able to print to a PDF and it says that my account is not activated, but when I check everything looks right.
    I tried all the troubleshooting and nothing has worked.

15. Flattening transparencies results in duplicated pages

    When flattening transparencies in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (2019.008.20071) on single pages the pages are duplicated in the document after flattening.

18. unable to print any pdfs to printers

    I'm unable to print any pdf files from Acrobat DC to the local network printers. I receive errors: "the document could not be printed" and "an error occurred while printing the document". I am able to print to the printers from other programs. I've been able to print pdfs from Acrobat DC to printers in the past.

19. Can't print acrobat file

    Printer is showing message
    Printing - Can't open "/private/var/spool/cups/tmp/008595c4d2ad1."

    Other applications can print.

    Tried AirPrint and native mode.
    Printer is Epson WF-7520 Series.

20. Fillable Form Suddenly Not Printing after Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Update Yesteday -- it Printed the fields 4 days ago

    Just need assistance finding out a way to print our fillable fields. They printed just fine 4 days ago. Adobe Pro DC updated yesterday & today those fields will not print the filled in material. I have tried printing as a pdf, it does not recognized the filled fields. The computer has been shut down and rebooted. I've tried different printers. Tried different print settings. Something seems buggy.
