  1. When a PDF is opened and I select send as an attachment, Outlook 2016 opens with the file attached. I'm able to enter the body of the e-mail as normal. I can send the e-mail. The recipient does not see the text that was typed. It also does not show any text that was typed in the sent e-mail looking at sent items. This only occurs when sending a file through Adobe Acrobat DC. When I attach the file without going through Adobe, everything functions normally.

  4. I have had multiple PDFs made in indesign with REALLY SIMPLE .mp4's just refuse to play. In this one, the second video plays fine, but the first will NOT play no matter what I do. I've switched the video, I've reexported it, I've deleted the contents of the page and started over, and it still just sits with that ugly loading bar whenever I open it up in acrobat to test it out. I work with video regularly, and this happened last week when I tried assembling a few videos for a project for another client. All of them loaded…

  5. It currently works fine to embed 1080P videos in an adobe document. They play smoothly and the sound and video track nicely. But could you make the same thing possible for 4K and 8K videos. At this time the video is lagging / choppy and the video freezes and all you can hear is the audio. Thank you.

  6. 10 years ago I was able to link to external video sites like YouTube.com and have videos appear in Adobe documents with Acrobat. But for some reason the software has a bug now and when placing a url into the dialog box it says "No media file has been specified. Please select one and try again." Can you please fix this soon. This is very frustrating since it use to work fine 10 years ago. Thank you.

  11. I would like a info panel that show me relevant information about the file. For me that information would be: Paper size (not including bleed) in milimeters, Color profile, bleed size, Ink limit, Spot colors, low-res image warning, fonts etc. I use Acrobat to check ads and I think a single info-panel would be great. If there is problems with the file, I can dig deeper with pre-flight, but in most cases I only need to know the basic information about the file. The Properties panel under the file menu is better than nothing, but it is too limited and…

  13. Send by email does not work (bug).

In windows 10 pro 64bit and latest Acrobat pro DC it is impossible to send a document via email. It is not abble to connect to the smtp serv er of the 1and1 email service by any plausible setting (SSL/TSL/plain).

Wen I try to do the same with my gmail account it sais it is not possible to compose the email.

  15. In Acrobat XI on Windows I save as the file to create another same file. But the text in the creating file has been modified.
    Steps to eproduce:
    1. Open the Demo File.pdf and click "Save As" in File tab.
    2. Give a name and save it somewhere.
    3. Reopen the new file you will easily find it is not the same as Demo File.pdf

  16. "Remove Empty Pages" was a feature in Preflight that has since been removed. What a great option to have, very disappointed with it's removal. Is there another way to identify blank pages using Adobe? Or can this option be added to an account? When working with 1000s of pages, selecting blank pages for deletion is very tedious and costly for the client. I have several users that could utilize this tool.

    Hi,

You can always check the recent files you opened, but as designed after system restart Acrobat will not open those files for you by itself.

    Thanks

  18. Every time I open a pdf from an email, it automatically saves it to the desktop. I then have to delete them and it is difficult finding the latest file...that I didn't want to save in the first place. I want to choose when to save a file.

You can change folder path via Preferences > Securit y(Enhanced) > Add Folder path.

I hope this works for you

  19. Changes are not able to be saved when source or destination folder name of document is changed while editing. Changing folder names is common on Mac OSX and applications typically do not have issues tracking folder name changes while the application and document is open.

    1. To reproduce on OSX, open a PDF document and make edits. Change the name of the folder the PDF resides in. Attempt to save changes. Acrobat shows this error "The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name…

The error is expected since you are changing the source folder name while the file-inside is in Write-mode.

You can try Save As to not lose any changes.

Just for information, on windows – you cannot change the source folder name while a file, is in write-mode.

  20. For some weird reason I probably tried Acrobat Pro DC but always had Acrobat. Since the trial expired I keep getting an error message saying I cannot access the features I normally used to even though I could have before this new Pro DC thingy!
