  2. Location of Page Thumbnails in New Acrobat

    As of March 2023, with the New Acrobat, the Page Thumbnails have been moved to the righthand side of the Acrobat interface. Please allow changing this to the lefthand side again, as an option, without having to revert to the "old" Acrobat.

    I'm pretty sure I won't get many votes for this, and I'm pretty sure that the UX designers won't want to consider the change I request. I do want to relay that if the "old" Acrobat ever goes away, I'll switch to other software. Having the table of contents on the righthand side doesn't make sense to me.…

  3. Adobe saves file as a temp file name and forces user to resave as file

    This is happening to me:
    1. Opened existing file
    2. Go to organize and delete one or two pages as necessary
    3. Click the x so Adobe asks if I want to save, hit yes OR Choose file save to save the file
    4. Adobe saves the file with a temp file name like A9rwqngxivbermkgo.tmp.pdf
    5. Adobe throws an error message "The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the file with a different document name or in a different folder.
    6. I click ok and then have to do a save as…

  4. Stop What's New popup

    The 'What's New' popup occurs with every new document opened even if Adobe Pro is already running. It is horribly annoying. If it is supposed to turn off once you review the pages, that is not working. Please add a mechanism to 'turn off notification'. I assume that Adobe is not posting new features to the product every 2 minutes.

  5. Accessibility Tags for 3D Media

    It is not possible to have an Accessibility Tag which is linked to 3D Media added in Acrobat.

    We are a contractor to the U.S. EPA. They need to make ACCESSIBLE publicly available PDFs which contain our 3D Media.

    This is an important missing capability. I have spent many hours on multiple support sessions, only to be given the conclusion THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.

  7. Recover Yahoo account without phone number and alternate Email

    Go to the Yahoo Sign-In Helper, enter your Yahoo email, and follow the instructions to retrieve your Yahoo account without a phone number or other email address. In the event that the conventional recovery methods are unsuccessful, get in touch with Yahoo assistance through Yahoo Help Central and provide thorough account details to authenticate your identity.

  9. Bug: "Find" feature makes Reader crash when keyboard language is changed

    I usually work with multilingual PDFs, with Latin + Greek script. When I search text using the "Find" feature, and switch keyboard language layout while the cursor is in the "Find" text field, Reader almost often crashes. This started happening after the latest big GUI update.

    Steps:
    - I am reading a PDF with Latin + Greek script
    - I open the "Find" tool using Ctrl + F
    - I change the keyboard's language layout while the cursor is in that field, using Windows button + Spacebar. The keyboard's language is supposed to switch from Italian to Greek (Polytonic Greek)…

  11. Annoying Acrobat Reader feature - "Do you want to turn your photo into a PDF?"

    As a s/w product marketing manager and dev engr for 25 years, I suggest you remove the annoying question posed to users of Acrobat Reader: "Want to turn your photo into a PDF?" This will likely result in losing business as customers are annoyed with the suggestion. Who on the business side thought this would be a great way to generate more revenue for Adobe?

  13. panel tool text alignment

    Add horizontal and vertical text alignment options for the Panel Tool fillable text within the text box. Currently the alignment function only allows for the text box itself to align on the page. The ability to align text within the text box is crucial when the lower half of text is cut off at the bottom of the text box when changing fonts.

  16. PDF files stored on iCloud do not download (open) from within the program - only from the Finder.

    If I try to open a pdf from within Acrobat that is stored in iCloud, it doesn't open. I have to click twice on the associated cloud icon for it to open. If I click the same pdf file from The Finder, it will open straight away. Is there a fix for this? TIA - DJH

  17. All tools sidebar on launch, GO AWAY!

    This pop up tool bar on launch is huge, and it needs an option to be turned off. When I open a pdf to READ it. I need more than half the window to be the document I opened, or it's too small to READ! I know a lot of people want this open on launch but some of us open 40 pdf's a day, and never ever touch a "Tool" I just need to read and copy invoice numbers off of them.

  18. Form Fields tab scroll bug

    I've lost the ability lately to scroll the contents via the mouse scroll wheel of the Fields tab of the Prepare a form part of the program. Scrolling works properly in other tabs and dialog boxes though. I started experiencing it since the latest patch.

  20. Acrobat has Application Error during first use of acrobat after install

    Today, I installed Adobe Creative Suite, including all available applications that came with the subscription. Afterward, I opened a PDF in Acrobat that I had created by printing to PDF from Firefox.

    In Acrobat, I used the "Create a Form" feature and saved the form. Then, Acrobat prompted me to restart the application to enable some AI features.
