  1. When adding layers to a PDF need an option to make the background (of the added layer) transparent - this would allow a base CMY to show through multiple K layers (showing different plate change versions) allowing registration to be verified

  2. A new bug in Adobe.

When combining Word docs (and I believe it may affect other file types), the file name cannot be very long. Not sure how many characters but not very many. This is causing inefficiencies in my work where I publish research articles and the file name contains important information to identify each article. Having to shorten the file name wastes time. If this is an unintentional bug, please fix it!

The error received is "No PDF file was created because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error". Less than helpful generic message leading me to believe this…

  3. In Adobe DC Pro, the Java Script Debugger window can be resized, but the internal sections cannot / do not scale to the proportions of the overall window size.

The internal sections should be movable / scalable to allow all parts to be viewed, with scroll bars, for the overall window size chosen for the main debugger window.

Very frustrating that the contents do not fit within a normal 1920 x 1080 monitor on my system.

  6. I have a form that must be approved by different departments of my organization in six different steps. In each step, someone must fill form fields, and add a signature, then send to the next department. Acrobat currently locks the form fields from being edited further after a signature is added in the "fill and sign" tool. Someone complained about this in 2017 and it was still not fixed.

After adding a signature using the fill and sign tool (I do not use certificate based signatures due to complexity), the document should remain editable, and all fillable form field and…

    Hi,

Thanks for providing your feedback. This is an AsDesigned feature and currently we do not have any change in functionality planned for the future.

    Regards,

    Sandeep Grover

  7. The software is very complex, particularly the preferences menu and the digital certificate-based signatures. Focus on simplicity and reducing complex and numerous options.

  8. Get rid of this portfolio garbage. Every update has only made the product more un-usable and worse. The next time you feel the urge to destroy what was a good product , please go find a coloring book and color a picture or something.

  10. I would like to propose that in the drop-down list application we can add a long text to it and that it appears completely on the form. I currently have a problem with this since the texts in my drop-down list are long and unfortunately they do not appear completely on the form. It would be interesting to add a parameter which authorizes the line to return itself automatically as it is possible in Excel. Thanks very much !

  11. Product File Version is: Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 22.001.20117.0

    TL;DR:
When selecting a document from a subfolder of a portfolio as it´s initially shown document. (Collection Dictionary - COSName D)
(via: PortfolioProperties - "Show current document when opening portfolio") the folder navigation is missing when reopening the portfolio, hence preventing to navigate the portfolio in direction of the portfolio´s root.

    Description:
Selecting such a document should be allowed and possible, as any entry of the EmbeddedFiles tree may serve as the "D" entry of the collection dictionary, hence it is correct of Adobe DC to allow me doing that.
    And…

  13. Ability to force the "Send to email" feature on the task bar to be hidden and disabled. Prevent the user from reenabling.

  14. Hello,
I'm using a MX Anywhere 3 mouse on my Mac and unfortunately it's not possible to change the scroll speed using the mouse in scroll view compared to 1 page view. Changing the scroll speed in macOS' settings or Logi Options has no effect on acrobat.

    Sincerely

    Marius

  15. Not possible to edit text after saving files with active windows in PDF. For example when there is active window where we should write date and then we are adding signature, then field with date is not active anymore and it is not possible to change date with EDIT function either. It is very flustrating!

  16. We have found recently that some documents are missing a bunch of characters when printed, despite appearing fine on-screen. When I contacted support, I was advised that this is just something that happens when PDFs were not created by Adobe. To me, it sounds like handling PDFs created by other apps would be a basic function of a PDF application and should be fixed in Adobe.

  18. When filling out forms for e-signature we need a way to favorite our commonly used fields. For example if I need to access signature, print name, and date for all of my documents I should be able to have them in their own section so I don't have to toggle back and forth between sections each time.

  19. We have a critical inquiry from one of our clients into whether the MS Outlook Acrobat PDF Converter Plug-in can convert both the emails and any attachments into PDFs. Currently, the Outlook Plug-in only converts the email attachments into Hypher Links inside the emails-converted PDFs, where the users have to open the PDFs and click open the attachment links with whatever supported programs (word, excel, etc..) exist on their systems. We are looking to have everything (emails and attachments) turned into PDFs. Is this something the Adobe Acrobat Team is working on?
