  1. Unless I am missing something it appears that Acrobat Distiller is only able to process one file at a time. I feel like there is a missed opportunity here to take advantage of modern multi-core CPUs and allow Distiller to at least process as many files as there are logical cores on the CPU at the same time.   6. In the Acrobat export dialogue (File > Export to) I'd like to be able to export just a single page as e.g. a PNG file. When adding PDFs to websites we often need to create an image of the front page to use as a button or link to download the PDF. Currently we have to export the whole document and then delete the pages we don't need. A simple 'select page to export' would do.

  7. Sometimes I receive a file with a single set of different pages(Let's say 5 pages). My customer wants 31 sets. I'd like to select the five, highlight and right click and chose "Copy as set?", then once I do this, a dialog box comes up and asks, "How many would you like?" I would chose 31 and it would duplicate 31 sets. It would change the page count from 5 pages to 155 pages. Thank you!

  8. For data protection reasons we cannot hold completed agreements past a particular period of time. At the moment it is a tedious and extremely inefficient manual process to delete documents one at a time via a buried search menu. Please create the ability for users to set rules for types of agreements to be auto-deleted after a specified period. This is standard on many software packages which hold any personal information and should be an option here.

  10. When tagging lists, I frequently encounter symbols or acronyms that need actual text. Removing them from the list would actually make the pdf less accessible. Why isn't this a feature?

  11. I am using Prepare Form to insert fields so I can fill out a form.
    For some reason all of my fields display text upside down when I type in them using "fill and sign".
    I can go back to "Prepare Form" and change the property of "Orientation" from 180 to 0. However, I never set any of the fields to 180. This is a bug. Also, I can not select multiple fields and set them all to 0 degree orientation at once.

    This is a very poor user experience. I would use different software in a heartbeat.

  12. To ensure that assistive technologies can parse tables, headers that are repeated across pages should be marked as artifacts. This is recommended by the PDF Association's Tagged PDF Best Practice Guide: Syntax: https://www.pdfa.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/TaggedPDFBestPracticeGuideSyntax.pdf . However, this structure is not followed by PDFMaker when converting from Word to PDF.

    Steps to reproduce the issue
    1. Open the attached Word document.
    2. Go to Acrobat > Create PDF.
    3. Press Save.
    4. Open the resulting PDF (also attached).
    5. Open the Tags panel (View > Show/Hide > Navigation Panes > Tags).
    6. Expand the <Table> tag.

  13. In Acrobat XI Pro it was possible to undock the comment list into it's own window. That feature was highly useful but has been removed in current Acrobat DC Pro. Please restore that capability to Acrobat to make the commenting tool more useful.

  14. When adding layers to a PDF need an option to make the layer background transparent - this would allow a 'base' CMY' PDF to have multiple K (version) layers added - this would allow both registration and versioning to be verified

  16. A new bug in Adobe.

    When combining Word docs (and I believe it may affect other file types), the file name cannot be very long. Not sure how many characters but not very many. This is causing inefficiencies in my work where I publish research articles and the file name contains important information to identify each article. Having to shorten the file name wastes time. If this is an unintentional bug, please fix it!

    The error received is "No PDF file was created because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error". Less than helpful generic message leading me to believe this…

  17. In Adobe DC Pro, the Java Script Debugger window can be resized, but the internal sections cannot / do not scale to the proportions of the overall window size.

    The internal sections should be movable / scalable to allow all parts to be viewed, with scroll bars, for the overall window size chosen for the main debugger window.

    Very frustrating that the contents do not fit within a normal 1920 x 1080 monitor on my system.

  20. I have a form that must be approved by different departments of my organization in six different steps. In each step, someone must fill form fields, and add a signature, then send to the next department. Acrobat currently locks the form fields from being edited further after a signature is added in the "fill and sign" tool. Someone complained about this in 2017 and it was still not fixed.
