  1. Any time I open a PDF and then merely print the document, I cannot simply close the PDF once printed. I get a pop-up box asking if I want to 'save changes to xxxxx.pdf before closing.' This is quite annoying when I have multiple documents open and have to click No for each PDF I have just printed.

This pop-up is a relatively new 'feature' so it must have been activated by a recent update.

I aks that you please fix this issue.

  2. I miss the feature that the Acrobat program window automatically minimized after closing the last opened PDF document. At the moment the Acrobat program window always stays open and hides the desktop.
I know of various keyboard shortcuts like WIN + Space + N or WIN + M, but the Acrobat program window should automatically minimize itself without additional action if the last opened PDF file was closed.
A setting in the Acrobat preferences for this behavior would also be conceivable and desirable.

  3. If I create a fillable field in a form with mulit-lines, I can center the text horizontally in the field but not vertically. It would be great to add this as a feature.

I have forwarded your request to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization. We will contact you if we need some more information on this.
    Thank you for your patience

  4. When a file is shared using a link in Acrobat Pro DC, the page that opens tries to open the file. The problem with this is that some of the features don't work properly on this page (such as portfolios and initial views within portfolios). Please make the download button more prominent so that user can open the file in the Acrobat software easier.

  5. When text editing a PDF, and the user changes the color of the text font in the color palette, if the user moves to another word, sentence, or paragraph, even next to or on the same page as the original text edit, the color of the color palette reverts the editor back to "black" text. The user then must open the color palette AGAIN and chose the color wanted for subsequent text editing. If there are hundreds of text edits in the PDF, the user is forced to open the color palette hundreds of times to change the text editing…

  6. It would be very much appreciated if I could resize PDF pages in Acrobat. There's no easy way to do this in Acrobat Pro DC--really, no way except to place the PDF in InDesign and do it that way, which is laborious. This would particularly be helpful when I'm resizing books to create one PDF from multiple files.

  7. Before finalizing your products, hire a group of people in an assortment of age groups who, while computer literate, have no experience with your program. You will find that your latest version of Adobe Acrobat is almost impenetrable. I mean, it's absolutely terrible.
Even your "help" function no longer provides help. Seriously, your 2019 edition is the single worst version of Adobe Acrobat I've ever used. And look on the Internet. The complaints are everywhere.

  8. In the new update, the color of the highlight changed from the bold yellow to the faint, faded yellow. I really cannot appreciate this change because of the poor contrast the faded yellow has with the white background.

I work with my computer all day and sometimes reduce the brightness level of the screen to reduce glare, which causes eye strain, but now the faded yellow highlight is so hard to see when the screen is on lower brightness.

If you must have this faded yellow color for the highlight, I would want to at least have multiple options selecting…

  9. We have been seriously facing trouble since there is no available method to log/ trace users with Adobe products in order to determine whether they are actually using the product assigned to them, whether they need checking from their last log in time. This brings forth a lot of misuse of licenses and malpractice of assigned licenses remainig unused due to the unavailability of such feature.
This becomes specially difficult when its an Enterprise account and there are thousands of users to be managed.

Please add-in a feature soon where the admin, depending on access control, can check for users'…

  11. If you type here before login/signing, once you do it, all typed text is wiped out. Really frustrating. Now, the other Acrobat bugs:

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC issues: slow scrolling - failed saving - document not found. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20069 and previous ones on macOS has some issues, which have been around for ages. They are really frustrating:

    1. Scrolling vertically becomes excruciatingly slow if "Edit - Find" (Command F) is opened. Even on powerful Macs, like iMac 27-inch Retina 5K display 4.2 GHz with 40 GB RAM and fast 2 TB internal SSD from Apple (mid…

  12. What happened to the +/- zoom function? I need the ability to manually input the % of a zoom when comparing files; so that I am comparing "apples" to "apples" when it comes to the percentage size the the zooms. Why does it seem that every new version of Acrobat worse than the previous version?

  14. In the Action List where your sequences are, I find when you have a lot, there is no way to sort it alphabetically in one go. I am aware you can do this one by one via the manage actions setting, but that is tedious and counter productive, especially when you have a lot like i have, attached. Please can you implement a 'Sort by A-Z', either in the menu bar along the top, within the manager actions settings or next to the name 'ACTION LIST' on the UI, highlighted attached. Hope this gets someones attention. Thanks.

  15. Unable to get or publish comments to Adobe Shared Review PDF on SharePoint 365 with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

    Details:
I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.010.20064

When I open Shared Review PDFs hosted on SharePoint 365 I see the message:

    • Could not get new comments. Adobe Acrobat did not get a response from the server.

    • Adobe Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server: 13.107.136.9

This appears to be the same error and message other users are reporting since October 2018 when setting up new Shared Review PDFs using SharePoint & Adobe Acrobat DC. Any updates on this would be…

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for reporting the issue and apologies for the inconvenience caused.
We have been working on this and let you know once we plan to deliver the fix.

    Regards,
    Arvind

  16. I would like to use a keyboard shortcut to insert a link to a webpage (Word uses CTRL+K). Right now, I can't even get easy access to that action through the Quick Tool bar because only the "Auto-Create Web Linksfrom URLs" and "Remove Web Links" are an option.

  17. PLZ offer a "read mode" that highlighting without a comment pop-up!!!

For many times when I'm reading I'd like to highlight some words but have nothing to comment- however it creates an empty pop-up... When I sometimes have to find out a useful comment I have to go through hundreds of empty comments in the comment list.

  18. Where did the "auto detect pen hardware to enable markup" go? It was in preferences/commenting/making comments. Without this feature acrobat is worthless for commenting on a touch screen with a stylus. I can't imagine anyone would think it was a good idea to remove, hopefully it is just located somewhere else. Also note, STOP CHANGING the UI!!! This is the last issue I will ever try to resolve. I am sick of having to google how to undo new "features". In the future I will simply move on to a more consistent software.

In the latest update of Acrobat DC, we have modernize the commenting experience and at the same time, made it very clean and intuitive to use. As part of that, the checkbox is moved to the right click menu of the comment.

    Open comment>Right Click>Add Checkmark

Please also note that both the sort and filter options are available for the check mark.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and will consider adding the check mark by default for future updates of Acrobat DC.

However there is one workaround to make the checkbox appear in one step by using the keyboard shortcut SHIFT + K .

  19. Currently, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is not 100% ADA compliant. Specifically, one cannot create or edit PDFs if one uses a screen reader to navigate around their computer screen (i.e. is blind/visually impaired). I currently use JAWS 2018, Windows 10, and have Acrobat Pro DC. I've attempted to create and edit from combining PDFs, using copies, etc. I've even tried using some of your tutorial items to test with and have had the same results (ex. Bodea's Brochure -- the brochure your website tutorial has specifically for practicing editing).

  20. 99.9% of the time, when I'm going to EDIT a pdf, its just to resize or crop it, not to change the content. But I have to wait for the OCR processing to complete before the crop tool is available. I shouldn't have to wait for a feature I'm not intending to use. Especially if I'm working with CAD drawings or other non-MSWord source files, the OCR processing takes forever, since the content isnt designed for that.
