"New Acrobat" is causing a graphical glitch suppressing font
I'm running into an issue where I open certain files (invoice forms) all made from the same template and the fields are blank and an error shows up regarding ArialMT font being missing. Found that if we disable "New Acrobat" the file opens normally, but this disables the page organization sidebar I like to use. Once we re-enable "New Acrobat" it works normally again until the next restart. Then the issue recurs. I believe there is some kind of bug causing this graphical malfunction.

How to stop the "Double sided print" option from automatically turning on?
I have wasted so much paper because of this ****** bug. Printing double sided should never ever be automatic or the default setting. I turn it off all of the time, and even went into settings to disable double sided book printing, yet it still randomly turns it back on. This has to stop.

Too many feature requests. How do you actually prioritize?
I’m getting requests from all directions, users, early customers, my own team, even friends Bro Games. I feel like if I build everything I’ll destroy the product, but if I ignore too much I’ll lose users.
I’ve never done formal product roadmapping and really wish I had a mentor who’s been a PM or founder and can help me think clearly about what to build next. What prioritization methods actually work in the real world?

AutoSave is horrible on macOS — edits persist for days, then are permanently lost
I edited a PDF in Adobe Acrobat on macOS over 10 days.
My changes consistently persisted when I closed and reopened the file, including across app restarts. Because of this, I reasonably assumed the file was being auto-saved or at least checkpointed. However, when I eventually closed the document and selected “Don’t Save”, all edits from the entire period were permanently lost. There was no recovery option, no AutoSave file, and no previous version available.
What’s confusing is that the app does retain edits for days, which strongly suggests they are saved somewhere. There is no indication that these changes only exist temporarily in the RAM or that they can all be discarded at once.
This behavior feels misleading and inconsistent with modern AutoSave expectations on macOS. If had a windows I would have been able to recover the file somehow .
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an existing PDF in Acrobat on macOS
2. Make edits (annotations, text, comments)
3. Close and reopen the file over several days (changes persist)
4. Close the file and choose “Don’t Save”
5. Reopen the PDFExpected
1. Either: Changes can be recovered via AutoSave or versions
or 2. The user is clearly warned that all changes will be permanently lostActual
1.All edits are lost with no recovery and no warning, despite having persisted for days.Impact
This can easily cause major data loss, especially for long-term work (legal, academic, professional) !!!!
The persistence of edits over time creates a false sense of safety.I edited a PDF in Adobe Acrobat on macOS over 10 days.

Request to Update the Free Adobe Software to be able to use the "upload file" button in a prepared form
Our team prepares forms for data collection with clients on limited government budgets that don't have access to full data capture portals. We need to collect data from these clients and to date have had to use only text boxes for this data that is pulled from excel and then entered back into excel. It creates a lot of wasteful processes in copying/pasting text data. We recently discovered the option to build in the "upload file" tool to the form. We were so excited to have a solution to reduce waste/energy for our clients and us. We found out it only works with upgraded adobe packages, not the free version. We are requesting that this feature is made available across all software packages - it seems archiac that this is not an option in the free version.

Bates Numbering Updates Not Working
Currently (as of 1/20/2026), the Bates Numbering feature does not automatically update when pages are removed. This is a new bug that started as early as 1/16/2026, possibly due to an update. Before 1/16/2026, my company could take a PDF that was created and remove pages, then simply update the page numbers with one click. Now, Adobe doesn't recognize the Bates Numbering page numbers, and they are instead individual text boxes that have to be deleted and added back to change the page numbers.

This process takes a while as each mail needs to be separately saved and batch PDF export through Outlook is not possible. Also, if the Exchange account goes offline, OST files are not accessible anymore. Additionally, attachments, email styling, and even metadata cannot be copied reliably in all cases.

I had a PDF that looked like a spreadsheet. I asked AI to add all the copays for 2023 and 2024. It kept leaving out numbers.
Why can't it add a simply column of numbers without leaving out a bunch of them? And why can't it just generate all the numbers in that column into a copy bod that I can copy into Excel?

"Get PDFs e-signed" section interrupts typing
When opening a PDF, there is a section in the bottom-left that says "Get PDFs e-signed. Recipients sign online for free." There is a delay between first opening a form and when this section appears. During that delay, you can start typing in a field, but when the "e-signature" section appears, the field you're typing in will lose focus and you'll get interrupted.
This also happens in Reader DC, but instead of "e-signature", the pop-up is about a 7 day Pro trial.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a form with at least one text field in it
2. Quickly click on a text field and start typing
3. Keep typing until the "e-signatures"/"free-trial" section appears (About 5 seconds)
4. The pop-up will interrupt your typing because it forces all fields to lose focusEnvironment: Windows 10 and Windows 11 with every version of Adobe Acrobat and Reader DC since September 2023. At least one version in 2024 would cause Adobe to crash instead of just losing field focus.
Observed result:
The field will lose focus about 5 seconds after the opening of the form, but only on first initializationExpected result:

Usability Shouldn’t Be a Premium Feature
I rely on your software at work, but lately it feels like every time I try to do something simple—like rotate a page, highlight a sentence, or reorder a couple of pages—I end up clicking on an ad instead of the actual tool. Even features that aren’t behind a paywall get buried under pop‑ups, banners, or buttons that look like they’ll perform the task but actually take me to a subscription pitch.
When I’m just trying to quickly preview a PDF, change the view mode, or add a comment, those upsells interrupt the flow and make basic tasks feel more complicated than they should be. I get that monetization matters, but when the straightforward path is replaced by an ad, it slows me down and makes me want to avoid using the product altogether—even when it’s the only option my workplace provides.
I’d love to see a shift back toward clarity and usability: buttons that do what they say, workflows that don’t reroute me to subscription pages, and a workspace that stays focused on the task at hand. A great product earns loyalty by making my job easier, not by making me navigate around ads to do routine work.I rely on your software at work, but lately it feels like every time I try to do something simple—like rotate a page, highlight a sentence, or reorder a couple of pages—I end up clicking on an ad instead of the actual tool. Please give us the ability to set a default date format (i.e., DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY, depending) rather than having to change every single date field individually.

Exploring Card Games With Unique Rules
There are so many card games with small rule twists that create a whole new feel. Some add side decisions, others change how hands are ranked. It becomes a fun puzzle to solve rather than anything serious. I like testing them just to see how the flow changes. What rule-variant card games do you find the most entertaining?

Acrobat Pro continually updating key features, never finishes
How about you correct this issue? For the past month or two I've been seeing this problem. It never gets beyond (or below) 90%, and every once in a while it pops up with this notice. I can't figure out how to get it to finish or to disable the update process.

Focus does not move to Customize Field controls
In Adobe Sign, when a keyboard or AT user activates the Customize Field control, a dialog appears on the left-hand side of the screen (Customize Field dialog). Keyboard focus does not reliably move to this dialog - it appears to land on Required Field, but pressing tab returns the users to navigating through fields. Keyboard users are not able to access the customize field controls as navigating to them via TAB and Shift+Tab changes the selected field, thus altering the contents of the customize field dialog.
