Add "EIN" as a formatting option in Adobe Pro
Add "EIN" as a formatting option in Adobe Pro using > Edit pdf > More Tools > Prepare Form > (highlight field) Properties > Format - drop-down choices include Social Security Number, Zip Code, etc.
I had a field formatted using what shows as "Arbitrary Mask" but the formatting created an error which started recently. I did correct things but lost my tab order.2 votes -
Automatically SELECT the Font
When I want to edit a PDF and I want to change the font, I can do so by clicking on the dropdown box and selecting the desired font.
But since there is a very long list of fonts, invariably, I would need to type the name of the desired font.
But when I start typing the name of the font, the words start appearing at the end of existing font's name. This is obviously not helpful.
Instead of that, if the font gets automatically selected/highlighted when I click the dropdown box, I would have the benefit of automatically deleting the existing font and typing the new one only.
In this way, I would be spared of the necessity of pressing backspace/deleting the entire existing font before I type the new font. If you have any doubts, just see how MS Word or Excel have it. It is very intuitive.

Content editing
Hi all,
can any of you tell me how to set Photoshop as the default for opening images from Acrobat Pro DC (macOS Monterey)?
Whenever I click on an image under "Edit PDF" with the "Edit" tool, the preview is displayed in the "Edit with" submenu. When I say "open with" I can select Photoshop. However, I would like to use Photoshop as the default here so that I don't always have to select the programme under "Open with".
I had actually remembered that I could set this in the settings under the item "Touch up". Unfortunately, this menu item no longer exists in the settings. What I do find is "Content editing". There I selected Photoshop as the default editor for the "Edit object" tool. Unfortunately, this did not have the effect I had hoped for.

Hallo zusammen,

Hide All Tools in Preferences
This must be a bug! If I have to close All Tools EVERY TIME I OPEN A NEW PDF the rest of my life, I WILL GO INSANE. You HAVE to allow us to hide this if we don't want it, it covers so much of my screen and is SO UNNECESSARY. You must hate your customers :( Or if this option is in preferences and I didn't see it, please tell me, and you'll have my thanks!

Splitting Documents in Organize Pages
When I create a PDF, the document wont allow me to immediately split pages, i have to close the document then reopen it. The doc shows as being open in another location. Then when I go to enter the number of pages to split (by 1 page), I am using the number pad which doesnt recognize the number being entered (accessibility issue). These features being fixed in the next update would be greatly appreciated!

What is the advantage of setting Acrobat Language to Arabic?!
I'm copying below from my post on the Adobe Community forum…
https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/what-is-the-advantage-of-setting-acrobat-language-to-arabic/m-p/13974561#M421987Since Acrobat Pro had services on the cloud and was named Document Cloud back in 2015, we mostly tell our staff and clients using Acrobat to avoid setting the Language to "English يدعم العربية", meaning don't set your Acrobat to Arabic as seen in the screenshot below, we rather tell all users to change the Language to English so we can all enjoy cloud services such as E-sign, sharing files, and Fill & Sign.

On this Adobe forums, I read quite a few complaints about some Acrobat features failing to run or perform as intended, just to discover user's Acrobat Language was set to Arabic, hence when the Language is switched to English, Acrobat will run and perform properly. My question to Acrobat Development Team is when do we need to change the Language to Arabic, and why is this option even there in the first place?
I'm an Arabic-speaking person, I'm an Adobe technical support working in the Middle East for the Adobe distributor. I personally suffered from this issue back in 2015 when my Acrobat was set to Arabic, and only when I changed to English, Acrobat ran well.
Moreover, I intentionally kept my Acrobat setting as Arabic for few weeks last year to test the possibility of solving issues facing Arab users with Arabic content, and yet nothing changed, regardless of whether Acrobat is set to English or Arabic, the same issues stayed there when handling Arabic content PDF such as Arabic OCR, Editing, backwards converting a PDF to MS. Word… etc.Just searching this Acrobat forum for English / Arabic, and you will see non-Arab users complaining that some features in Acrobat failing, just to find setting Acrobat Language to English يدعم العربية is the cause..
I need someone to enlighten me, of what is this option English يدعم العربية is doing here and what are the advantages of choosing it - if any.

Rotate page function in side bar delay
Only for the last few weeks I've noticed the ROTATE PAGE on the side bar (Page Thumbnails) takes some time to become ‘active’ after opening a PDF. As this is a very common function I use, it’s become annoying enough for me to use this feedback page and waste 20min of my time to report the issue.
Please attend to.

eSign doesnt WORK!!!!
Literally the only useful thing about Adobe Acrobat Pro is the hecking e-Sign. It used to be nice, now it doesn't work at all, neither with the desktop nor web application. Desktop doesn't react at all when pressing the e-Sign and web just shows the spinner forever.
Why would anybody pay for this **** when the only useful feature doesnt even work...3 votes -

Bug in Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet
The Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet feature works great until the form has a signature added to it. After the form is signed only a few of the fields are exported. It's as if the data elements have been truncated.
To replicate... create a form with many data fields (populated) and a signature field but without requesting a signature. Do the Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet... it works great.
Repeat the Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet function but this time after requesting a signature. This time the spreadsheet created has minimal data.

Bring back the USEFUL version, get rid of the Tard version.
You may not know this, but this software is a business tool. I literally CANNOT work with this AFU version of Adobe. Can I get back to the USEFUL version where the tool bar is on the right side? I spend 90% of my workday trying to untard the changes made by updates. It's like you all don't want us to use your software.

User Manual for Adobe Acrobat Pro
There is an Adobe Acrobat user manual as a pdf on the Adobe website, but it is 2019 and shows very different screen prints to what the screen in Adobe Acrobat Pro looks like.
Please provide a PDF user manual. I know there are help screens if you are on the internet, but it's a pain clicking link after link after link after link and it's too hard to flick back and forth between the web page and your own adobe page.
Please give better service to users.

Adobe Acrobat Pro - clarity re my version
I have just bought and downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro. However, in Adobe Creative Cloud it merely says "Acrobat". When I open Adobe Acrobat, It is merely labelled "Acrobat" WITHOUT clearly stating that it is Acrobat PRO. In Adobe Creative Cloud application, it says "Acrobat", again without saying what version.
I've paid a HUGE amount for Adobe Acrobat Pro and cannot confirm anywhere that I have received that "Pro" version instead of basic Acrobat.
This is really poor of Adobe, and I'm very doubtful as to what version of Acrobat I have.

We need to retain the “Password to view document” feature.
We need to retain the “Password to view document” feature. This relates to client’s Personal Data Protection. Where emails are compromised, this acts as an final defense against any form if sensitive data being leaked out.

Please restore the page number icon
Unfortunately the updated Acrobat PDF appears not fit for purpose. many of the features on the older version have either been removed or hidden, which means an irritating search to find them.

why is the cloud bundled with reader???????????????????????
Do not bundle creative cloud desktop app with reader desktop app. If a container is required embed the container with standalone reader, 2 separate downloads for one install is IRRITATING as I ONLY want to read PDFs with READER NOT EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ability to Batch Certify & Sign Multiple Documents at once
My business requires signature of multiple documents in various places and I'm required to sign hundreds of these documents near deadlines that occur throughout the year. Having the ability to open multiple documents at once to then quickly click to certify AND sign ALL signature fields placed in ALL open documents with only a few clicks would eliminate a lot of time I currently spend having to click through each signature field of each document.
While a batch signature functionality exists, the true efficiency of batch signing does not exist in the current Adobe functionality. Having to manually click through each signature field and the various steps associated to certify/sign for EACH field placed within the documents results in no time saved from doing each document individually. The number of clicks is the same. It would be nice to go through the signature prompts once and the batch signature functionality sign ALL open documents in all signature fields within those documents.
An example of the desired functionality that truly captures 'batch signature' and creates meaningful efficiency in the signature process can be found at the below link.
Example of Bluebeam functionality:

Cursor Precedence
When drawing there should be an option such that when selected the cursor will always draw a new object on click, even if proximal to an already existing object, unless the dedicated select mode is in use. At present, even if you have another tool selected, trying to do something such as drawing a grid of boxes is painfully difficult, as drawing such that the boxes would have shared edges simply tries to adjust the bounds of the existing box.

Previewing A Form
In the old version of Adobe Acrobat, when you were in the process of preparing/editing a form, you could "Preview" the form. It was very useful because you could go back and forth between changing the modifiable fields and seeing the document as someone else would see it. This feature is no longer available. Now, you have to exit the form section to preview and then go back into the form section to edit again, which is such a headache.
