Acrobat Activation Doesn't Recognize Computer After Reboot
After rebooting my PC, Adobe Acrobat prompts me to sign in and does not recognize the device. I have to sign out from the PC I am using and sign in to the same PC.
Windows 10 64-bit
Acrobat 2022.003.20263
Since I am using the same PC, I should not have to sign in, sign out, and sign in.1 vote -
Why do i need to edit registry keys to make simple changes to the preferences. What happened to Acrobat Its sucks now.
Why has acrobat become a useless and annoying program? It used to be a great program now it is terrible. Why does every basic change in preference require a registry edit? The designers are clearly not as smart as they think they are.

Do not view the "starred" bar
You have just introduced a new menu bar: "Home", "Tools"... etc, including the new "starred" category.
I'd actually like to read my pdfs, and the more screen area, the easier that is. Your new menu bar lessens the screen area I have to read my documents. Can you at least make this menu bar toggled, so that I and others wanting more screen space can get rid of it?

Color Code Comments
I review documents with comments from several coworkers. I'd like the option of having each commenter assigned a color. Then I would be able to scan the comments for a particular color to address that person's comments.
Right now, I can filter comments by person, but that removes everyone else's marks/comments from the page. I can sort the comments by date, so I just look at the newest ones, but that doesn't include replies to comments. And it makes it hard to get to the other comments on the same page.
Please add the option of each commenter choosing a color (or automatically being assigned a color) and have all of their comments in the sidebar show up in that color.

Remove Text option for Digital Signatures
When sending a document to someone using the eSign digital signature feature, they have the options "Type" "Draw" or "Image". I request that we as the sender have the ability to remove the "Type" option. A typed signature on the resultant signed pdf file is not suitable for legally binding documents. I want to the ability to restrict the recipient to the "Draw" and "Image" options so that a real signature is captured on the document.

Show more details on thumbnail or list view in "Shared by you" folder
It would be extremely helpful to be able to see more details in the "Shared by you" folder. For example, whether in list or thumbnail view, I'd like to see who has commented on a file. I don't need to see WHAT they've commented; I can accept I must click on the file for that information. But it's tedious to have to click on individual files looking for feedback.
See my attached screenshot, on which I've added graphics showing what it could look like.

Ability to prompt users to comment
It would be very ideal to be able to prompt users to review something shared previously. For example, if I share a PDF, but nobody comments after several days, I'd like to follow up with them without sending a regular email.

E-sign text input box make it so signer can enlarge
E-sign should be set so that the text input box which I place onto invoices for authorizing can be made larger if required by the signer to add further information as required, currently they cannot make any larger and it has the annoying wrap function which means it doesn't automatically enlarge the box if they have more information to give!

PDFMaker mixing up a font's GID and CID, causing garbled output
I would like to report an issue on Adobe Acrobat DC. I don't own any Adobe Acrobat DC application license (my apology), so I am unable to verify it myself. The issue is reported from a user of an open source typeface I authored, and from my investigation I believe this is related to the Adobe Acrobat application, or specifically, the PDFMaker. So I would like to bring this to your attention.
The typeface I work with is called Chiron Hei HK (https://github.com/chiron-fonts/chiron-hei-hk). It is derived from Source Han Sans, an open source typeface from your company. The font is built using "Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType" (AFDKO, https://github.com/adobe-type-tools/afdko/), the same one Source Han Sans was built with.
Recently, I received an issue report about gibberish PDF characters caused by Adobe Acrobat DC when the user exported an MS Word document typesetted in my typeface to a PDF file (https://github.com/chiron-fonts/chiron-hei-hk/issues/7) on Windows. After some back and forth about the details, the user clarified that the PDF file is fine it is created using the "Print" function with the "Adobe PDF" device selected (i.e. using the Adobe PDF printer), but is problematic when using the "Export to PDF" feature in MS Word, which I believe is provided by Adobe's PDFMaker.
The actual problem is that some of the characters of the resultant PDF look garbled or weird. From the attached screenshot you can see that the text
"測試Testing " (note that there is a space at the end)
in MS Word becomes
"測試疮疹****磹疓" (* denotes a to-fu)
in the PDF.I believe this is related to the CID-keyed nature of the font. Like Source Han Sans, my font is a OpenType/CFF CID-keyed font. But unlike Source Han Sans, the CID of my font is not contiguous. As stated by your former Type Architect, this should not be a problem ("One particular attribute of CIDs is that they need not be contiguous", quote https://ccjktype.fonts.adobe.com/2012/04/cid-vs-gid.html). But if an application assumes so, this can cause a problem.
Now, here is an excerpt of the Glyph ID and CID dump of my font using AFDKO's tx tool:
### Format: glyph[GID] {CID,iFD,LanguageGroup} glyph[20448] {27219,0,0} # CJK Character "疓" (U+7593) glyph[20475] {27262,0,0} # CJK Character "疮" (U+75AE) glyph[21320] {28708,0,0} # CJK Character "磹" (U+78F9) glyph[27219] {40003,3,0} # The "space" glyph (U+0020) glyph[27262] {40046,3,0} # LGC Letter "T" (U+0054) glyph[28708] {41492,3,0} # LGC Letter "g" (U+0067)
Comparing the above data with the text "測試Testing " with the one on PDF "測試疮疹****磹疓", I discovered the following:
The letter "T" is correctly shown in MS Word. In PDF it becomes a "疮". From the above lookup table, the CID of "疮" is 27262, which is different from that of "T" which is 40046, but is exactly the same as the GID of the letter "T".
Similarly, "g" is of GID 28708, but the PDF file embeds a glyph with CID 28708, so it becomes "磹". " " (the space) is of GID 27219, but the application embeds CID 27219 (疓) to the PDF file.
So, from the the above observation, I think it is pretty safe to assume that there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat DC, or probably the PDFMaker application, which involves confusing the GID and CID of a font. I would appreciate if you could look into this.
Finally, while I am unable to verify the issue with Adobe Acrobat DC, I have verified that this issue doesn't occur in other non-Adobe exporting tools, including the "save as PDF" function in Chrome and Firefox, the "export to PDF" function in Libre Writer, and the "print to PDF" function is certain freeware PDF utility, like PrimoPDF.
Thank you for your attention!

After "Finished searching the document" popup Find becomes bugged
- Search for a word in a document
- Go to next until the last word is reached and the popup appears
- Exit the popup
- Press next 3 times, the search will loop back around to the start
- Then press previous until you get all the way back to the 4th reference of the word in the document.
- If you try to press previous again, it will say no more references have been found, even though according to the top number still says there are 3 more words one can go back to
This works for any number, not just 3.
Somehow when the search loops back from the last reference to the first, the number next to find is de-synced from your actual position in the document, leading to a visual bug.- Search for a word in a document

Assign Radio Buttons to Signer(s)
Assign Radio Buttons to signers. Signers may need to choose between options (Radio Buttons) and this isn't currently available. The reason for a Radio Button would be that only one option can be chosen of the group of Radio Buttons.
When I am sending a document for signature, it makes me, The Sender, complete these Radio Buttons before the document is sent for signature.3 votes -

Simultaneous addition of adobe sign initials to all or a selection of pages in a page range
Ability to simultaneously apply adobe sign initials to all pages of a document or to a selection of pages in a page range (similar to header/footer and watermark). Our agency needs to initial documents anywhere from 20-600+ pages in length and the initials are required to be on all pages. The current method in Fill & Sign requires the employee to stamp each and every page. This is highly inefficient and often causes to program to have long save times and/or the program crashes during the process and work is lost. The initials are protected because each employee has an adobe account that is password protected so the ability to sign multiple pages simultaneously is in no way impaired by any security concerns or requirements.

Editing Bug - Highlight Color Button
Adobe for Mac, Adobe Acrobat Pro:
When highlighting, pinning the highlight button and showing the "change color" button--if the screen is maximized, the Change Color button often does not work. Demaximizing the screen causes the button to work again.
