Outstanding Product
It's been over ten years since I sold the tech company I owned for 22 years. I've been enjoying retirement...until about a month ago! A friend recruited me to help convert some hard copy documents, produced in the mid-eighties, and make them into accessible PDF files. She knew I had some background in technology and specifically with creating PDFs from paper. The documents were going to be part of a new web site about the history of ADA! Given the nature of the site, the documents needed to be accessible! I downloaded Acrobat Pro DC (and a couple of screen readers to help with testing (JAWS, NVDA,(it wasn’t until later that I found Adobe’s ‘read out loud’ feature)).
I knew right away the Acrobat Pro software was one of the most incredible tools I've ever used! And I've tested a ton of software. My company was an ASP (Adobe Service Provider) for many years and produced a lot of searchable databases full of PDF files.
The 7 day trial and monthly subscription made it easy to get back in the game. I didn’t know anything about Acrobat Pro, I’d never even heard of it. After learning and using it for a couple of weeks I can absolutely say it IS the most completely amazing piece of software I’ve ever used! Congratulations!!
All of the old documents have been converted and have passed all accessibility checks!!
BTW – sometime in the mid-nineties I was selected to be the moderator of what I think was the first and only symposium on a new technology called “Portable Document Format”. If I’m not mistaken the companies represented were Word Perfect, WordStar and Adobe. The symposium was held at the headquarters of USGS (United States Geological Survey). My company had been experimenting with this new “universal” format from the companies represented. It was clear to us Adobe was way ahead of the competition. The symposium left most of the attendees with the same conclusion.
Also in the mid-nineties my company was selected to convert the whole collection of OTA (Office of Technology Assessment) documents before the agency was closed. We were having a problem with one of the documents; it was about 600 pages long. We tried and tried but could not make an image+text PDF from our scanned images. The PC kept crashing or locking up. I called Adobe and actually got the Acrobat Product Manager on the line. After some discussion he told me he had never seen a 600 page PDF and wasn’t sure if one could be created from hard copy…but if I was successful would I please send him a copy on a CD! We maxed out memory and everything else you could max out on a PC back then and voila! We made a 600 page PDF! The whole OTA collection is still available on the web site at Princeton University - http://www.princeton.edu/~ota/.
I’m pretty sure I sent him a CD.

Bug: Adobe Sign no longer allows editing subject or message
Due to a recent update, Adobe Sign now instantly skips past the screen where previously I could edit the subject and email content of the outgoing message to request signatures on a document. I fill in the email address, then the screen I'm referring to instantly flashes and disappears. This makes it impossible to request signatures with anything other than the default Adobe default subject and message content. This is clearly a bug. I'm running MacOS 12.3.1 and Acrobat DC current continuous build version.

Keyboard shortcuts to reorder items in the tags panel (Accessibility Tool)
Please add keyboard shortcuts to reorder items in the tag panel.
Currently, a user must drag and drop tags in the Tags panel to change the reading order. It is easy to drag and drop items in the wrong place.
To recreate this problem:
1.) Open a tagged PDF
2.) Open Accessibility Tools
3.) Open Tags Panel
4.) Attempt to re-order itemsIt would be extremely useful to be able to do the following
With a tag selected, I want the ability to do the following with the keyboard:-Move the tag up
-Move the tag down
-Move the tag in/under another tag (For example, placing a list item under a list)
-Move the tag out from another tag (For example, nested paragraph tags)Please add keyboard shortcuts to reorder items in the tag panel.

Ability to set background color on text inputs on Adobe Sign Templates web version.
Given the following example pdf:
https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/cra-arc/formspubs/pbg/td1/td1-22e.pdfIt would make sense to fill out the Social insurance numbers as a single input with a white background and overwrite the existing bars as it makes the input hard to read on the final copy.

How to Convert VCF to CSV using Google Contacts
Converting a VCF to a CSV can be accomplished in a team of additional ways. For example, we can use Mircrosoft Excel and the help of VBA writing to do the conversion. It’s not the multiple straightforward methods but it functions.
The most superficial way nevertheless is just utilizing online converters. Many sites of this nature exist, however, I lived aware Google Contacts backed this transformation only behind I utilized it to import my Outlook.com contacts into it.

Constant blank screen when choosing to save documents
Every time I edit a document and then choose to "save as" I just get a blank screen. I have to shut down my entire system and turn back on and it sometimes works, sometimes not!! This is clearly a bug in your system looking at the amount of times it has been reported.

"Use Current Properties as New Defaults" on Auto-Field Detection
"Use Current Properties as New Defaults" should also apply to the auto-field detection wizard. It seems to defeat the purpose of being able to set these defaults if it only works when adding each field individually and manually.

Allow Acrobat on a different PC to any running CC for photography
I have 2 personal MacBooks, one main and one for photography, and a Windows work PC. I have the full Adobe subscription and want to use all applications on the main MacBook, photography applications on the other MacBook and only Acrobat on the work Windows machine but the licencing does not let me. I think the licencing should be changed to an application base, i.e. Acrobat only on 2 PCs, Photography apps only on 2 PCs, rather than an overall licence only on 2 PCs

Portfolio layout view - huge icons waste useful screen space
The huge icons in layout view make impossible to see enough of what the portfolio includes - a waste of screen space. The detail view expanded to show a sufficient number of files does not allow you to see a document such as a letter underneath. I would like to see a Preference for Layout view (left panel) to list the file name with a small icon just like the detail view. Alternately, allow the detail view to dock the file list in the left panel.

Bug: Vertical line added to fill & sign signature
When I click "Fill & Sign" then "Sign Yourself," a vertical line appears in the center of my signature and persists after I add my signature to the page. The line does not show up for the initials. This bug never existed before today (9/28).
I have tried re-opening Acrobat, rebooting my PC, and doing a repair installation, but the problem persists. I have also tried deleting the signature and re-adding, but again it persists.
Note that the signature was created with on Apple Pencil on my iPad (and saved to my account), but the problem exists in Acrobat DC 21.007.20091 for Windows. I do not see the line on iPad and I do not see the line in Adobe Document Cloud opened with Chrome.
Again, I expect to see just my signature with no vertical line, but I see my signature with a vertical line added.

Bug Report - JavaScript Editor - TAB key to move text over exits the Editor
Bug Report - In JavaScript, it's common practice to format the code to make it more readable by using the TAB key to indent text. This has worked fine in all previous versions of Adobe Acrobat that I've used. However, in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, pressing the TAB key moves the text to the right once, as it should, but then the focus moves to the OK button to close the Editor. The focus should stay in the Editor so TAB can be pressed again to move the text further to the right. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient to have to click back in the Editor after every TAB, and in the EXACT same place you were editing, in order to TAB text further to the right. This bug was confirmed on two different machines running Pro DC and using both an existing form and creating a new blank document.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1) Launch Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
2) Select File > Create > Blank Page.
3) Select Tools > Rich Media.
4) Click Add Button on the toolbar
5) Click anywhere on the document to create a command button.
6) In the newly created button, click the All Properties link.
7) In the window that opens, click the Actions tab.
8) In the Select Action dropdown, select Run a JavaScript.
9) Click the Add button.
10) In the window that opens, type any text and then move the cursor to the beginning of that line.
10) Press the TAB key.
11) The text moves to the right 4 spaces, as it should, but notice the focus is now on the OK button.
12) Press TAB again and see the focus move to the Cancel button.
13) Click back in the Editor at the beginning of your text and press TAB again. Notice that the text moves another 4 spaces to the right, as it should, but once again the focus has moved to the OK button. This make formatting ones code ridiculously difficult. Please fix this bug asap.

Still no Dark Mode for Adobe Acrobat Pro for Windows? 2022 now and still nothing
Just opened and checked out the "brand new" Adobe Acrobat 2022 for windows. STILL no change. Are they just now repackaging the same program and updating the names and versions? lol I mean unbelievable how many have requested this now COMMON feature on all other apps and operating systems! I'm referring to a Dark Reading Mode with the click of a button. The very same one they have on their android and ios apps. The level of some Tech corporations DENSEness is truly astonishing sometimes. I can count hundreds if not thousands of requests for this basic easy to implement feature yet Adobe doesn't care. It's just weird. Well adobe, one good turn deserves another. keep ignoring your customers and we will find other options. The strange thing is Adobe actually has this feature on EVERY OTHER PLATFORM and Operating system except Windows. I know this is a public chat room, but the official "requests" for this feature have been made already by thousands. Adobe continues to ignore their own customers. I think that is just dumb. My respect for this company has significantly dropped over the years.

Email notifications for Adobe Admin console
I'd like the ability to receive email notifications when we are reaching our limit of purchased Adobe DC licenses or Adobe Sign transactions so we can purchase more. We use Azure Sync to provision licenses to users so we don't login to the Adobe Admin Console on a daily basis and need a way to be alerted via email when we are low on licenses or transactions.

Page Thumbnails Options Menu
The new "Add a custom page" menu item has been placed on the Page thumbnails Option menu in the former location of "Extract pages." Even though I am aware of this addition, years of muscle memory from quickly processing PDFs has me continually selecting the wrong menu item. It takes up to a minute for the custom page feature to load, only for me to cancel it, and then try to select the Extract pages choice. A feature to add a page should properly be placed within the Insert pages option. If this were done, it would return the option menu back to its previous iteration, saving me 5-10 minutes of wated time each day.
