Option for Audit Reports to be in ISO A4 format
The included reports to signed documents are in Letter size. Half the world is using ISO A4 format instead, please make the option to select the A4. When the report is attached to A4 documents, printers crop or deform it, when printed.

Cannot save if file is being previewed in Windows File Explorer
On the Windows 10 desktop, if your view option in File Explorer is set to have a preview pane and the file you're working on is selected and being previewed, Acrobat will throw a dialog window that says: "The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.".
The preview pane is causing Acrobat to assume the file is in use, which technically it is, but this is a bug that shouldn't cause a file saving error. Selecting another file in File Explorer fixes this and allows you to save. But this workaround shouldn't be necessary. Please fix.

Fails to parse Unicode (unlike eg Preview.app and Chrome PDF viewer)
For example, Acrobat can neither copy/paste nor search for any of the following characters:
Ψ (psi), Φ (phi), † (dagger)
For example in this document (also attached to this post for convenience): https://arxiv.org/pdf/2102.12560.pdf?download
I'm guessing it's all Unicode characters? But I haven't tested that thoroughly enough to know if that's precisely right. Regardless, this issue arises daily for me (mostly because of the Greek letters).
I only tested 3 other PDF readers, but none of them have this limitation: macOS's Preview.app, Chrome's PDF viewer, Safari's PDF viewer
It would help me a ton if Acrobat let us copy/paste and search those characters.

Can't add signature or initials in latest version of Acrobat Pro DC for M1 mac
The modal which used to allow me to add signatures or initials has disappeared. The screen goes gray (the color of the modal background) but there is only one pixel where the modal should be.

Field properties usually only show 4 tabs. It's not clear how to add tabs for "Validate" and "Calculate". Using Adobe Acrobat DC.
Please provide instructions for how to open the missing "Validate" and "Calculate" tabs.

Adobe sign
Every time I send a document to sign. It always ask the client to review and sign. But that langue is extremely aggressive and literal losses me clients all the time. Because no one wants to push a button that says sign before even reading what's in the document.
Can you just change it to review.
Getting people to read a document is hard enough, I don't need a program giving them a built in excuse not to open it

Mac Only - PDF Form Fields Turned On/Off via Check Box do not highlight after specific fields have been changed to different field types
Hello,
The following issue appears to be Mac specific. This is not an issue on Windows machines, as all of my testing on multiple machines suggest it's only on Mac's.
The short story:
On Mac's only, changing a text field format in Acrobat Pro DC (ex - changing to a date field) causes the field highlighting to no longer work on those fields that have been adjusted, and are fields that are shown/hidden based on checking/unchecking a check box.
The long story:
I recently have been trying to troubleshoot a relatively minor issue that I can replicate when creating form fields directly in Acrobat Pro DC or after exporting form fields to an interactive PDF from InDesign. I think I'm close to understanding when this issue is happening (finally), after a lot of trial and error.
Here is the situation:
I create form layouts with invisible text fields in Indesign that are on top of coloured backgrounds. The reason I do this is because I don't know of any way to adjust the text padding inside a text field and I don't want the text butting up to the left edge of the field. This is my workaround... if there is a way to add padding to text in a field please let me know!
After exporting the InDesign form as an interactive PDF and opening it in Acrobat Pro DC, I turn on the field highlight color option in Preferences (Preferences > Forms > Highlight Color: Show border highlight color for fields). I do this typically when I test forms out and then turn it off again once I know things are working, but know that some clients filling the forms out always have this option turned on.
As a next step in Acrobat Pro DC, I select any text fields that require a different field property. Example - a date field, telephone number field, etc. I adjust any of these fields in Acrobat Pro DC by double clicking on the field to bring up the field text properties, and then choosing the desired category from the Format tab.
All is fine so far.
These specific fields in question that have been adjusted turn on/off based on selecting/deselecting a check box. If I turn the check box off, and then back on, the fields that have been adjusted do not highlight with all of the other fields (on a Mac). They will highlight after moving the mouse either over any other active field. They just no longer highlight instantly after channging from text field to another format (ex - Date field, Phone Number field, number field, etc.).
I have discovered that if I put a background color on the fields, it will solve this. The issue is, I don't want to do this because I have created them as invisible fields that are on top of designed rectangled behind them to give the field the visual appearance I am trying to achieve.
Attached are the examples, showing what is happening. You must view these on a Mac in order to see the issue. This happens if I create the fields in InDesign, or directly in Acrobat Pro DC.
Current InDesign: 17.0.1
Current Acrobat Pro DC: 21.11.20039Please view the attached PDF's in this order, and note the comments added to each one.

Date Format Bug
doug815
New Here , Nov 24, 2021I am working on a form inserting the date. I was hoping to add the day of the week with the date format. I checked on the format and went to the custom selection and inserted dddd mm/dd/yyyy. The hurdle I am trying to get past is, when I go to select a date, I receive a javascript error message telling me that it is the incorrect format that I should use dddd mm/dd/yyyy. I am JavaScript challenged, LOL. Am I missing a setting somewhere or something? Any guidance or assistance would be appreciated.
I have been in contact with JR Boulay and he has been guiding me through options
The funny part is, if I put the dddd at the end of the date format it works fine with no error messages.doug815

Completely Useless Software for Editing
This software is completely useless for editing pdfs. It glitches on all my computers and makes the worker frustrated and rightfully think that Adobe should do a much better job than they have in this context. You claim to be amongst the best software companies, so let your products demonstrate your claim!

I am not quite sure why, when I save documents on my phone, they do not autosync to the online applications and/or applications downloaded to my desktop/laptop (or any combination of those, like if I save on my laptop why isn't it on the app on my phone).

Allow users to upload numerous PDF files, and combine without changing the text fields.
Adobe needs to allow users to upload separate PDF files, which are from the same template, and not change the text. I am unable to change the text field because that will change the original document. If I have 3 products using the same original pdf. Adobe needs to allow me to check a box not changing the text. or locking each sheet as its own.

Page Size
per the design of Adobe Acrobat Pro I always have to manually adjust the size of the page down to 100% (which is set at 189%)while opening the PDF. Then when I reopen it it is once again at 189% and once again I have to adjust the size. I have to do this manually every single time which is very annoying. While it is at the 189% size the pages scroll automatically by themselves and I have no control of the cursor. It's only after I shrink it down to 100% that I regain control of scrolling through the pages. Would love a fix for this. Thanks.
