  2. When a select a comment (annotation) in a pdf's page, his correspondance in the comment list is highlight and show in the bottom of the list.
Is there a way to change that (like all other Acrobat before!!). So when you select the comment his correspondance is show first in the comment list?
I don't know why that change in Acrobat DC, but it it makes my job really complicated....

Lorsque je sélecte un commentaire ou annotation dans une page d'une pdf, sa correspondance dans la liste de commentaires devient en couleur et se place en bas de la liste…

  3. Open an existing comment bubble popup that has text in it. Select (highlight) the text. Now just move the mouse cursor slightly outside of the comment popup boundary. The text you highlighted becomes unhighlighted! I can’t even express how maddeningly frustrating this is. We have hundreds of edits a day that we need to copy the comment text out of Acrobat.

We are CONSTANTLY selecting the text, hitting COMMAND+C, switching over to a different program to paste, only to realize that either nothing gets pasted in or the text from the previous edit is still on the clipboard. I finally…

  4. I am trying to move my colleagues away from .docx to .pdf. Unfortunately we often have to review older version of a file that has been modified. How can we do this in DC? Can we?

  5. The arrow in the comment section will not change color... It seems to be locked, but when i click on Properties the Locked box is uncheck. The only way to change the color is to make it a default, every time.

  6. The comments pane takes up WAY too much space. I would like the ability to customize what I see there.

Currently in the Comments pane, it display the:

    -Author Name
    -Type of Comment
    -Text within the pop-up note
    -Date and Time

Sometimes all of this information is useful, but most of the time, I don't need to see all that! It is a waste of screen space. I would like the ability to show to only those options which I need. In this case, I just want to see what is in the pop-up note, nothing more.

    We can customize…

  8. I recently discovered the new feature in Acrobat Pro DC that allows me to use the highlight tool to highlight "text" in a scanned pdf that has not been ocr'd. I tried to use it today but it would not work. Was the awesome feature removed? If so it should be brought back!

  9. Some Forms (IRS) restrict areas of the document where you can enter information. This can be helpful, except when you need to sign and date the form after you have filled it in. For some reason the "date" part of the form will not accept text from "Fill and Sign", but it will accept a stamp. All of the default dynamic stamps in Acrobat have additional, un-needed text like "Approved', etc.

Please add two dynamic stamps that have ONLY 1) the Date and 2) Date and Time without any additional verbage so that the user can quickly sign AND date…

  10. Be inability to stamp a sheet with a keyboard command is mind-boggling.I know I can select the stamps options menu with Command K but from there that is no way with the keyboard to apply the stamp to a page. This dramatically lengthens my workflow when having to apply stamps to multiple sheets in the document.

  12. In Acrobat 9, it was very easy to mark a comment as checked. You simply right-clicked on it and chose "Mark with Checkmark." Alternatively, there were also two different places in the Handy Commenting Toolbar to mark the comment as checked.

Sadly, in Acrobat X and going forward, the right-click > Mark as Checked feature was removed, as was the handy Commenting toolbar. So now the only way to mark something as checked is in the giant comment list (which is now by default vertical, as opposed to horizontal.

Instead, Acrobat has moved the only option for commenting over to…

  13. After trying to search for names in a 2000+ page PDF document, I discovered that wildcard searches are only available at the folder level, not the document level. In this particular case, the names might or might not include a middle initial so a basic First*Last search is critical. This is old technology that needs to be brought back. We included wildcard searches of documents 35 years ago in software - but they seem to have vanished. It isn't difficult to write the code and test it - especially since Adobe already does it for collections of documents. It just…

  14. How do I highlight test in Reading Mode or Full Screen mode? As far as I see, the highlighting tool (and probably many other tools) switch off in these screen modes and even the pin button does not change this.

  16. In a previous version of Acrobat (I believe it was version 9) it was possible to filter comments by color. Please bring back this feature, it was one of the most useful features of Adobe Acrobat. As a technical author, I need to add lots of different comments that are directed to different people. Some are only relevant for the illustrators, some for the developers, others for fellow writers, etc.
Sometimes I also categorize the status of comments by color. E. g.:
    - green --> done
    - orange --> needs some clarification
    - red --> can't/won't be done

    Without the…

  17. Found a bug

    Software Acrobat Pro DC
    Architecture: x86_64
    Build: 18.9.20050.254034
    AGM: 4.30.72
    CoolType: 5.14.5
    JP2K: 1.2.2.39492

    OSX 10.11.6 (15G18013)

In previous versions of Acrobat, it was possible to copy and paste not only written (text) comments, but it was possible paste lines, boxes, ovals, clouds and other comment features from one page to another page.

This is of importance because we use Acrobat to mark up floor plan drawings and send those comments back to the Architect for review and correction. The current version of Acrobat, as far as I am concerned, is broken because it no longer permits…

  18. Most of what I use Acrobat Pro for is processing vendor invoices. Several thousand per year. I need to place comments on them and then email them to another location. It would be a big time saver for me if there was a shortcut key to open the email option. Thanks, Barry

  19. Add "VIEW COMMENTS" shortcut to toolbar?
    - Is this gone? I can't seem to find where to add it PERMANENTLY.
    - We use Acrobat for proofing and I have to reopen the "view comments" on EVERY FILE our to see any corrections listed in the comment boxes.

  20. Text call out tool issue . After commenting on a document , the color of the call out box is changes to blue and this property made "default" through " make current property default " option. This change is valid as long as acrobat pro application remains open . When the application is restarted , the text call out box reverts back to the original properties i.e. white in color . This problem comes for the text call out tool only and other drawings markups retain their set properties even after restarting the application.
