1. Give us the option to download an older version that actually works!

   While you sit and figure out the stupid, illogical, and absolutely unreliable interface, why don't you allow users to downgrade to a supported version that both works, unlike this version, and is responsive, unlike this version!

   Adobe, you have not provided any, let alone good customer service by releasing this POS software. You have unleashed a hellish nightmare on your customers with no way out. 2. split screen on Adobe acrobat pro not supported mac

   I am sure this is not a new request, but why is their no split screen sharing with adobe acrobat and other applications on Mac OS. I am starting my masters but if I have to keep switching between windows to study, well I will look for another application and cancel my subscription. (also you removed the define context feature which just seems another reason to move on).

3. Why quit supporting software and creating new when the old doesn't even work right?

   Message from Adobe: "If you are still using Acrobat 11.x or other older versions, please note that those are no more supported by Adobe. Try out the latest, Acrobat DC.

   In case your concern is not addressed in the latest version, please report the issue against Acrobat DC."

   I will translate this for you.

   If you have software that you love and that works, that is responsive, and that is stable, please stop using it. We have something fantastic for you!

   The interface is impossible to learn and understand,
   It regularly crashes,
   The scroll bars don't work,
   It regularly crashes,
   Signing documents is unusable. I stopped using it. I now use DocuSign.
   It regularly crashes,
   The forms engine is now unusable,
   It regularly crashes,
   Critical tasks are placed in absolutely stupid and inefficient places,
   It regularly crashes,
   It hangs on opening,
   It regularly crashes,
   It hangs when working,
   It regularly crashes,
   It hangs when closing,

   And it is slow beyond frustration, even approaching unusable.

   Does Adobe monitor this? This is unreal to have this many complaints about something with absolutely no response that I have seen from adobe. It is like they are purposefully hiding and waiting for it to fix itself.

   If Adobe is trying to make it easier for touch screens, just knock it off. People that do what most of these people do are not using a touch screen.

   One more letter in my exercise in futility. Take care everyone. I doubt Adobe is able or willing to respond and FIX THE PROBLEMS!!!!!!!

5. Quick access tool bar icons in COLOR

   The quick tool icons were changed after Acrobat X during the overhaul of Acrobat's UI to DC and beyond. One of them was to make the tools in the quick access all GRAY, and eliminate their COLOR unil the pointer hovers over it.

   This was a terrible decision and backwards step from a usability standpoint. Humans interact in their environment by perceiving things in color, lots of colors, and rely on color to understand and navigate the world. While shape outlines are one point of information to understand what a thing is, color adds considerable information to that mental processing and recognition step (read: speed and thus efficiency). Eliminating color thus slows visual acquisition of the desired object/target/tool. This all seems like some ill concieved desire to make the UI look more uniform and "pretty" but that came at the considerable expense of usaiblity. While that might be fine for the masses, completely eliminating the ability for a user to enable "always in color" as an option for the icon set is a gross dereliction of duty for the UX team or executives who signed off on this "new" and "better" product.

   This is not better for some Pro users who have customized the toolbar with many tools. More tools means a greater need to visually distinguish from among them.    On a separate but related note, I also see some icons have been simplified, also obscuring the critical information about WHAT tool it is: Three different tools now all have the same icon, which is not what it was in Pro X.

   Acrobat needs to understand that Acrobat Pro users are not Acrobat Reader users, and the UI or software itself should reflect those separate markets. Acrobat needs to think of Pro users more like developers/coders who dislike the dumbed-down button-based UI and ensure (1) screen real estate is carefully evaluated (2) keyboard navigation and use is maximized, and (3) customization options are prevalent for each.

6. Pan & Select Buttons in Main toolbar

   Please ungroup the Pan and Select icons in the toolbar. As an engineer who goes through dozens and dozens of PDF'd prints every day, the added step of switching between the two has become cumbersome very quickly. Here's the background: when I receive a D-sized print I need to be able to zoom in and then pan around, and usually do so quickly. I thought nothing of the change (once I figured out they were grouped), but it's slowly become annoying. There's plenty of space over there.

7. maintenance causes all work to be lost

   I had been working on multiple PDF files that I had opened via email and via my computer's file explorer and then as I was attempting to open another file via the home tab in the top left, the application said something about maintenance being complete and then forcing me to restart my Adobe session without being able to view or save the documents I had open at the time. Then when I did close Acrobat, and attempted to open the files I had open, it froze and I had to restart my computer 2 times before it worked properly again. And the files I had opened from various emails were not in the "Recent" under the home tab, so I lost all my work and which files I was working on. Very disappointed in the way Adobe forced me to close down all my open files and not save my work. I would have been fine if, when I restarted Acrobat, it reopened to my last opened tabs, but it did not. For a professional product, this needs to be fixed. Ask the user if they want to restart now or later, so they can save their work.

8. stop coming up with new stuff!

   It is tiring to deal with ever changing technology. The previous interface was so user friendly and everything was working smoothly. There is no reason for your company to spend resources on ever updating and changing interfaces. It confuses the users and creates more tech support request. Some things are best to be kept as is as they are working perfectly.

   I have to keep hitting F9 to make it return. Please stop it. I want those choices to stay put on the screen. When the bar disappears, I can't move the window to a new location on the desktop. Hitting F9 is constantly a burden while having Adobe open, and it does not always work consistently.

11. OK and Cancel buttons switched

    The locations of the "Cancel" and "OK" buttons when saving documents to reduced-size files seem to have switched. In most applications, "OK" is on the left and "Cancel" is on the right, but for this specific function, they seem to be the opposite, leading to accidental canceling.

12. The display theme keeps switching back to light gray

    It used to work perfectly, but recently the display theme keeps switching back to light gray whenever I open Acrobat. It is highly annoying to have to switch the view settings every single time I use the app.

15. File name at top of window

    The newest version of acrobat reader does not show the full file name at the top, only on the tab. When you have multiple tabs you can't see the full file name of the tab you are currently on and I think that is a step down from the previous version.

17. This upgrde will not update all the fields that you created and will obliterate your radio buttons and require a painful amount of reconstrc

    How about beta testing a bit before rolling it out, I wasted a full day testing and rebuilding something that was working perfectly, now I am screwed. Thanks

    We understand you are encountering some trouble with the new feature in Request e-signatures. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. With Modernized experience, you now get simplified document authoring experience, leverage AI-assisted form field detection and ability to revise, organize & save document edits in-progress, add/ remove recipients during agreement creation step. Here’s more information.

    If you still prefer to use the earlier version you can revert back by following these steps:
    1.    Click on your profile icon.
    2.    Select "Settings".
    3.    In "E-signing settings", uncheck the box next to "Use the latest version of Request e-signatures".

    This change will only affect new created after making this adjustment. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in resolving this issue. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

18. Ability to delete old Signed documents

    Ability to delete old signed documents that are over 5 years old. I have several old vacation rental agreements that I signed over 5 years ago and unless I deactivate my account and re-activate I am unable to delete these documents.

19. downgrade

    Downgrade Acrobat DC to a previous version

    Monthly Updates are good, but in some circumstances, plug-ins from different developer doesn´t work after a update. so i must uninstall the acrobat, search an old installer, then search the last version and install it and then disable the autoupdater. This is to extensive, when you must do this for x Clients.

    Description of desired feature: Search tool: advanced search, search for: "http" or "weburlstring" etc. even if it is a hyperlink that doesn't have that displayed.
    Why the feature is needed: it's 2024, we should be able to search for things in the PDF that I can manually search for.
