Make text boxes, callout boxes, drawing tools not sticky
All out comments are done with text boxes, text callout boxes, lines and arrows (as opposed to the sticky-note style comment). When we select any of those tools, they stay selected, i.e. when I draw a callout box and type, then click off of it, all I do is create yet another callout box. I have to click the arrow at the top of that pane to deselect it, then click AGAIN to manually move or resize my box. Previous Adobe version, did not "stick" when I selected a text box or callout box or an arrow or line from…

DOCX export with comments that MS Word recognises
The export to DOCX with comments generates a DOCX file that when viewed in MS Word has highlighted text and overlaid text boxes with the comment text for all of the PDF comments, but they are not recognised by Word as comments and as such do not integrate with its comment tool features.
Please export the PDF comments in a DOCX format that MS Word recognises as comments. Thank-you.

Standard dialog of the operating system for saving files
I want to use the standard dialog of the operating system to save files as the default, not a solution from Adobe. This only costs time and is a bad UX experience.

Sending e-mail with Outlook or other standard e-mail programme
Why is there no longer a direct way to send documents immediately with Outlook? This is a very bad UX experience. Not everyone wants or is allowed to use Adobe to send e-mails. This is not user-friendly.

Comments as Components, not a Printing Extra -- Layout, Flow, Consistency
The comments feel like they were added on to the program as a "nice to have" and weren't truly integrated into the layout and design considerations of Acrobat. For example, shouldn't they be treated as another "layer"? Having the comments panel on the right hand side makes it feel like there is a whole separate system that is handling the comments as an after thought and this shows in the way they are then handled downstream.
Printing comments is a nightmare, whether they display our not is a nightmare, when the reply box will cut off a lengthy comment is…

Application Error 0x0000000066BC0560
Application Error
The instruction at 0x0000000066BC0560 referenced memory at 0x0000000066BC0560. The memory could not be written.Click on OK to terminate the program
This happens after opening a PDF in Adobe Acrobat (Continuous Release Version 2024.002.20991 | 64-bit).
This error is received after opening a PDF in Acrobat. I have run the add/remove programs > Modify > repair program and am still getting the error. I tried to run a repair on Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app, but it only has the remove option. Checking for updates reports that everything is up to date.

PDF Reader Which Allows Editing
There are many many posts regarding the fact that Adobe Acrobat is not an editing application. Attempting to do so results in broken lines and text blocks, crazy word spacing, etc.
There is a need for such an editing application; oftentimes publishers are handed PDFs that they then have to manipulate to fit their needs, be it changing trim size, editing text, or reformatting for audio publishing. So it would be wonderful if Adobe came up with an application that can be used to edit existing PDFs, with generic word-processing features such as styles, layout options, spell check, and review.1 vote -
Share and OCR not working on MAC machines using the new view
In the new UI (on MAC only) the share button does not work, the Scan and OCR brings up blank boxes when choosing Recognize Text in this file, and once you have selected the Scan and OCR if you try to Edit a PDF or Prepare for Accessibility, those boxes are now blacked out. This is not happening on Windows machines. I updated Acrobat on both machines to the latest version (Windows 2024.002.21005 and Mac 2024.002.20964) and uninstalled and reinstalled it on the Mac. I also have the latest versions of my OS installed on both laptops. I have taken…

24.002.21005 Font read bug from PDF-Printer
With the latest update, not all PDF files are displayed correctly.
Problem occurs with me and our end customers under Windows.
The fonts are no longer displayed correctly in terms of character spacing and font size.
The same PDF files worked before the update and continue to work in other programs for displaying a PDF.
The EDocPrintPro PDF printer is used in my case, but I cannot rule out that other PDF printers are affected.
In my example in the appendix I have inserted test data and assigned a different available font to each text. The problem occurs with most…10 votes -
Multi-line links and Disappearing Link-OBJR
If you have a multiline URL (i.e., a full URL that links to the same URL) in your document, then delete the links in each of the lines using then contextual menu > Delete Link, and then select the link text and Create Link… the URL will auto-populate the link destination field and Link-OBJR will appear in the tag tree. So far, so good.
But as soon as you click OK, then the Link-OBJR tag disappears.
If instead, you link from normal text, and follow the same procedures, then the Link-OBJR tag remains and the resulting PDF passes accessibility validators.

App Opening Experience
When opening a PDF, all the side menus open each time, causing the document to be either a) hidden, or b) hilariously small. I like these menus, but they should be minimized by default.
Each app opening experience involves closing both side views, then declining the AI "experience". It is getting old, and I am tired of popups when I just want to read my document.

Inter font does not render correctly from PPT to PDF
The Inter font does not convert properly when converting from PPT to PDF. Adobe Acrobat will only recognize it as Inter Thin. Even though all the Inter family fonts are visible in the drop down menu, it will only display the font as Inter Thin. This should be fixed.
