2. "Merge to Adobe PDF" in Microsoft Word Filename Field

   It would be very helpful if in the "Merge to Adobe PDF" function/plugin under Mailings in Microsoft Word to be able to specify a filename from the fields of my dataset. In other words, I would like to be able to have a column in my dataset that the plugin uses for naming files. It's horrible having to rename a hundred documents if you want to distribute PDFs.

3. PDFMaker causes Character Encoding failure

   Steps to reproduce the issue:
   1. Type text in any of the below affected scripts in Word:
   - Devanagari
   - Bengali
   - Telugu
   - Tamil
   - Arabic
   - Gujarati
   - Kannada
   - Malayalam
   - Myanmar
   - Sinhala
   2. Export the document to PDF with Acrobat > Create PDF.
   3. Run the Accessibility Check.

   Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.):
   OS: Windows 10
   Word: 2102 (Build 13801.20360)
   Acrobat Pro DC: 21.001.20145

   Expected result:
   Characters originally encoded at valid Unicode codepoints in Word should not cause Character Encoding issues in Acrobat Pro DC's Accessibility Check.

   Observed results:
   Some Unicode characters in Word do not seem to be converted to the right codepoint in PDF, particularly combining characters. This causes Character Encoding failures in Accessibility Check.

   Steps to reproduce the issue:
   1. Type text in any of the below affected scripts in Word:

   - Bengali
   - Telugu
   - Tamil
   - Arabic

4. PDF Tables are not tagged correctly: #1 Table Editor

   1 of several problems in how PDF Maker (and InDesign's export to PDF utility) tag PDFs.

   In Table Editor, the editor's cell markers (bright pink lines) do not align with the actual <TD> data cells. This makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to correct a cell's tag.

   Most commonly seen in complex tables with merged cells in the column and row headers. See screen capture.

5. Converting MS emails .msg type files to PDF using 'Combine Files' Feature

   I would like to suggest .msg file type to be added to the list of supported files for multiple batch conversion to PDF using the 'Combine Files' feature.

   I sure many users would fine this feature useful, we receive a lot of documents many of the .msg file type we need to convert into one pdf bundle together with other types.

   I'm aware Acrobat has a plugin to support manual conversion of emails from Outlook to PDF, but it would be really beneficial if we could present emails and other supported files to Acrobat to convert as a batch without manually converting.

6. Embed pdfs as clickable objects within pdf that work when viewed in any pdf reader e.g. browser

   Embed pdfs as clickable objects within pdf that work when viewed in any pdf reader e.g. browser. So can add pdf to word and then share and people can click on the embedded pdf to read it. But if I save the Word doc as pdf the embedded objects cease to be clickable. Annoying. And support's option of adding files into the pdf doesn't help as doesn't work with people who use browser as pdf reader.

7. Displaced text during PDF conversion from PowerPoint

   Text in vector graphic images (.svg/.emf) files get displaced and in some cases overlap with other objects in the image during PowerPoint to PDF conversion with Adobe. This issue wasn't present when using Adobe PDF Library 20.9.95

8. Combine Files - Closing w/out Saving Alert

   On older verisons of Acrobat, when triggering the combine files function, if you exited and closed the app without combining or saving the files it would give you an alert. On DC it does not and ive accidentally closed out of a ton of times where I'm half way through moving files around, combining and then accidentally close it and have to start all over. Should be an easy feature to re-add.

9. Error with PDF Maker: missing <Document> tag

   When using PDF Maker 20 with MS Office 365, the tag tree is missing the document root tag. Has a Sect tag instead of Document tag.

   Please correct this tag structure to meet the PDF 2.0 tag standards requirements.

   Screen capture shows the error.

11. Preference Settings for Initial View

    I just purchased a brand new Dell with "supposedly" current version of Adobe Acrobat.

    I learn today that the version installed by Dell does not include the global preference setting to set file name instead of document title.

    This is EXTREMELY frustrating lack of a basic setting. Why would anyone think that the user's preferred name for a document is less relevant than where ever it came from.

    I can have hundreds of documents that need to be submitted in very short periods of time and now I have to go in and change each and every one to show the file name in order to differentiate it from all the others.

    I see in responses to other similar bug reports that this issue is supposedly fixed ....yet the version I just purchase (May 2021), does not have this feature.

    Please tell me you have a patch/or something i can easily get to fix this. My version code is 2020.001.30025

12. PDFMaker: Set the Scope, Row Span, and Column Span properties for table headers

    Currently, PDFMaker tags table headers as <TH> when "Header Row" and/or "First Column" are checked in Word. However, it does not change the default scope, column span, or row span of the headers based on these values.

    Description of desired feature:
    * For each table header tag added by "Header Row", set the Scope attribute to "Column".
    * For each table header tag added by "First Column", set the Scope attribute to "Row".
    * If both "Header Row" and "First Column" are checked, and the data cell in the first row and column is not empty, set the Scope attribute of that header tag to "Both".
    * For any cell that spans multiple columns, set the Column Span attribute to the number of columns it spans.
    * For any cell that spans multiple rows, set the Row Span attribute to the number of columns it spans.

    Why the feature is needed:
    Screen reader users need this metadata in order to understand the tables in the document. Content creators expect accessible content in Word to remain accessible after PDF export. They become frustrated when this is not the case.

13. Acrobat DC - Please create version that will enable embeded video

    Adobe Team,

    I have created several thousand Acrobat DC PDFs that contain multiple embedded videos. All of those thousands of PDFs worked pretty much perfectly. Now, due to discontinuation of Flash, none work. I cannot create those PDFs with embedded video. What a nightmare. Please, if you can create a new version of Acrobat DC that restores the capability to embed video, I'll be happy to send flowers! Or money, how about money!? Everything else works fine with Acrobat DC... get the capability back! Thanks, Scott

14. PDF-Maker disables macros in vba/macro-enabled Word-Templates after pdf has been created

    Title says everything. I have a macro enabled word template. If i use the microsoft on board function "save as pdf", everthing works fine. If i use the PDF-Maker AddIn, my Macros get disabled after the pdf has been created.

    Environment: Word365, Latest Acrobat DC version, Windows 10 20H2

15. Merge odd- and even-numbered scanned pages into a single document in the correct order

    When scanning a double-sided document in a non-duplex scanner, you end up with two separate PDFs - one for the odd-numbered pages and one for the even-numbered pages. Combining them in Acrobat Pro creates a single document with the pages in the order "1-3-5-7-....2-4-6-8-...", meaning that we have to manually move all of the pages into the correct order, which is not feasible for hundred-page long documents. We need a 'combine' function that automatically interleaves the pages so that they end up in the order "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-..".

16. Tracked changes - change bars functionality has changed

    Settings that resulted in change bars being present when converting a word document to a PDF - to highlight new or revised content have been changed and do not function now.

17. Error using Create PDF tool - Acrobat 2017 with Office 2013

    Using Abobe Acrobat Standard 2017 - Version 2017.011.30169

    MS Office 2013

    The issuse occurs when using the Create PDF tool with MS Word and MS Excel files. You pick your file > Create > get an error from Adobe PDFMaker "An unexptected error occured. PDFMaker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF."

    The file is then silently held open in 'read only mode' and you have to kill WINWORD.exe or EXCEL.exe in task manager to release the file.

    In Word/Excel File > Save as Adobe PDF works and Printing to Adobe or Microsoft PDF works. Seems isolated to CreatePDF tool.

    We've reinstalled Adobe. repaired Office, reinstalled Office, updated c++ redistributables, recreated local profiles, tested on newly imaged laptop. We always get the error. The printing options are an acceptable workaround, but we have some people that like to use the create tool

18. Add an option to "save as PDF" from MS Word with "Bookmarks panel and Page" by default

    Add an option to the Microsoft Word Adobe Acrobat driver that allows to save as PDF with the "Navigation Tab" - "Bookmarks panel and Page" property of the PDF file activated by default.
    Currently it needs to be activated manually. The driver only saves with the "Navigation Tab" - "Page Only" option.
    Other Drivers such as AutoCAD; however, save as PDF with the "Navigation Tab" - "Bookmarks panel and Page" property of the PDF file activated by default.

19. Please fix linkCreation.dotm

    Acrobat Pro (for the last several versions) continues to install linkCreation.com into MS Word directories, even though it is known to cause Word either to crash or to throw VBA errors. Please either fix the template or stop installing it.

20. Fix PDFMaker Toolbar in Autocad 2018. DC PRO 2020.012.20041 no longer works.

    Acrobat DC PRO recently updated and Autocad 2018 will no longer load the PDFMaker toolbars. See errors when starting autocad.
