Valid PDF cannot be edited in AcrobatWe’ve recently encountered a set of PDFs that cause errors in Acrobat Pro DC. They are provably valid and syntax error free. We’ve checked the PDFs with: - Adobe's (DataLogics) PDF checker command line 
 No errors reported.

 Every other software we've tried can open, read and edit the document without issue. Yet when these same PDFs are opened in Acrobat DC Pro, we find that Acrobat shows generic errors when an attempt is made to edit the PDF. Steps to reproduce the issue: 1) Open the supplied PDF in Acrobat Pro DC. 
 2) Attempt to edit.Expected result: The PDF can be edited. Observed result: An generic error is raised, with no actionable information. (See attachment) Environment (OS, other related application versions, etc.): Windows 10 (Latest)

The out-works.pdf is a sample using structure tagging, quite similar to the rest, where the errors don’t occur, so it’s not specifically a structure tagging issue. Disable "Tools Pane" & "Task Pane" on right by default & give option to enable/disablePlease turn off the annoying 'Tools Pane' & 'Task Pane,' on the right-side of the screen by default. In addition, it would be very much appreciated, if the user was given ONE, easy step/setting to enable/disable them. While I can go up to View -> Show/Hide and uncheck the Tools Pane, it only hides part of the annoying panes on the right since it's little annoying sidekick the "Task Pane" remains open. I have to hit the little arrow to hide that as well, but even then it still doesn't collapse 100% so it still takes up a little bit of room. I can't imagine that many people use those annoying panes, that just get in the way. If people want to access shortcuts then that's where the toolbars come in. Why eat up space on both the right-side & the top of the screen...then you are invading the user's ability to work from two different sides. Put everything up top, and leave it at that. While I've historically liked Adobe's products, I just feel like more recently Adobe is trying to do too much and doesn't listen to its users for common-sense things like this. Properties for SignaturesWhile these properties would be welcome across several products like Fill & Sign and Adobe Sign, my request is focused on Acrobat and is rather simple. From the thousands on comments and Youtube videos, this appears to be a necessary change which Adobe needs in order to compete with DocuSign Hello Sign, etc., 
 The Sign field needs properties to choose from including: Digital Signature or eSignature along with boxes permiting (restrictining) drawing, typing and/or image; including whether the date the signature or the signatory's name are to be included. Functionality should be included so that the same signature may entered on multiple locations in a document (and such be available for initials as well). This is one of the main reasons that I will need to move to another platform which supports the functionality. Split a pdf and retain each individual page's thumbnail name!Please, please, please make it so that I can split a pdf into individual pages and retain each individual page's thumbnail name! I do not want 100 pages named the same thing and just numbered 1-100. This would be so helpful in construction/architecture/engineering. The thumbnails are usually all named exactly what I need all the individual pages to be. Instead, I have to split document and then go back and rename them all to match thumbnails again. Would be such a time saver since it is already done by architects releasing the document!! 5 votes

Linking Multiple Text BoxesI am in need of the ability to link two (or more text boxes) on a form that is single lined, but has certain answers that continue on a second line underneath. By linking the two boxes, once the first is full (a set font size would be required, not auto) it would continue on into the second box. A multiple line box doesn't work in this instance because I have two (or more) separate lines that are not the same width. *Similar to how linked text boxes work in InDesign 1 vote

Translate option in multiple languagesTranslating from one language to another language is needed. In order to do that, we either have to go to google which is the worst when you wanna translate a document, or use the word for translate which is the best. If the first word named "Making: steps to make a cake", then Acrobat will try to save the created PDF from the web page to the network drive "Making:", which basically doesn't exist. I am not sure if this will open up any risk for hackers trying to get onto anyone network drive (doesn't sound like it), but it's good to have Adobe to look into it. Automatically open pop-up note when using Replace Text iconWhen Replace Text is selected and a relevant portion of text is highlighted, a comment box doesn't automatically open up. If I choose this icon my aim is to replace the text, so why wouldn't a pop-up open automatically (or at least have an option to turn said feature on in settings/preferences)? Annoyingly, I need to right click and manually open the pop-up. Please fix or explain how I enable this feature. 3 votes
