A well designed nice looking dark reading mode for the windows version like ios and android
A well designed nice looking dark reading mode for the windows version like ios and android. the ios and android modes have a nice simple dark mode switch much like many apps and operating systems of today now have. I find it's clunky and outdated to still have the only option for changing PDF document viewing options to a night mode-ish for reading at night only in the accessibility options.. a simple switch for on off would be VERY overdue on this relatively expensive product. I find it rather odd that it still does not despite the mobile options already having this! lol sorry but I have to laugh as I can't believe UI designers haven't even added it in the last 3 years yet. PLEASE. this is highly overdue and I think would be a very popular feature.

Workgroup email addresses should notify that given email
When using Adobe from a workgroup email. Adobe should allow notifications to go to that workgroup email.
For example, we have 3 users who are connected to a workgroup email Compliance@agencyname.com (it's a shared inbox)
We requested and CC'd signature requests to that email, but no notification was sent to that email address.1 vote -
Creating fillable PDF (Prepare form) - add image compatible with Mac Preview
I am creating a fillable PDF and the users need to be able to add an image. I tried using "Add an Image Field" with Prepare Form, but the users are unable to add the image when they open the PDF in Mac Preview. Most of our clients use Mac Preview to open and fill PDFs we need to make this compatible!

New Bookmarks ignore the current selection and are always named "Untitled"
In Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 on macOS Big Sur it is no longer possible to create Bookmarks based on the current text selection. New Bookmarks always get the name "Untitled".
See attached video.

Allow the View>Page Display>ShowCoverPageInTwoPageView to be on by default.
In the prior version, this option was on by default. Now I have to manually select it in the menu, for every document I open. This should be a selection in the Settings area, to enable this view as default or not.

Zoom and Scroll while using connected lines comment tool
Please enable zooming and scrolling while using commenting tools like the "connected lines" tool. I often have to trace lines on a schematic and it is REALLY difficult to do without being able to zoom or scroll using control / shift plus the mouse wheel.
Really this should be enabled when using any commenting tool but it's especially problematic with the connected lines tool.

smaller Click Here area in lower right
It would be great if only the words Click Here was the clickable part at the lower right, instead of the entire rectangular area. Invariably when I resize my window from that corner it launches whatever is the current content down there. Not huge but kind of annoying when you're busy.

Office Save as Adobe PDF Bug: Synthetic Italics on Nonstandard Font Weights
Installed Acrobat DC version: 21.005.20048
Installed Microsoft Office version: 2105 (Build 14026.20270)
Installed Windows Version: Windows 10 Home (21H1)When exporting any italic text from Microsoft Office that uses thick (but not Bold) weights, the exported PDF erroneously contains synthetic italics applied to the non-italic font of the same weight. The font files themselves are not the issue--this problem occurs on Microsoft and Adobe fonts alike. Using FontForge, I have narrowed down the bug to the OS/2 weight class of the font. The export feature seems to give up on finding the italic forms of particular weights.
OS/2 weight classes <= 400 and == 700 work correctly. Any other thick weights (500 Medium, 900 Black, etc.) have synthetic italics applied upon export. If I change the weight classes of a Medium/Medium Italic pair from "500 Medium" to "400 Regular", for example, the italic counterpart is found and exports correctly.
Attached images:
- PowerPoint1.png: all weights of Roboto display correctly in PowerPoint
- Exported1.png and Exported1.pdf: with the original versions of the fonts, Medium and Black italics are synthetic
- FontForge1.png: the original OS/2 weight classes of Roboto Medium and Roboto Medium Italic are logically set to "500 Medium"
- FontForge2.png: I have changed the OS/2 weight classes of Roboto Medium and Roboto Medium Italic to "400 Regular"
- Exported2.png and Exported2.pdf: after updating the troublesome weights to have the incorrect weight class of "400 Regular", exporting each weight works perfectlyCould you please fix the export so that it finds italics for all weight classes?

Change the PDF document page size
For real - We're In 2021!
Acrobat Pro cannot change the size of a PDF document.
Only way to do that is to print a PDF copy.
I want to just change the document size (i.e. A4 -> A5) in Acrobat Pro and save. That would be great!
I don't want to go back to PS, Illustrator or InDesign to do that. I don't wan't to print another PDF copy to do that.
Just open document settings > change size - voila!4 votes -
Redact functions triples file size
I need to do a simple redaction on a file but it has ballooned in size just from adding redactions on a few pages, representing more than a 3x increase in its file size.
This now makes it too large to send where I need to send it, considering the recipient's file size limits for anything being sent to them.
What can I do to fix this!?
This is a terribly URGENT issue that needs to be resolved immediately.

Getting rid of blank pages created by double sided scanning of physical bundles containing double- and single-sided documents
Electronic bundles created by scanning a physical bundle with double- & single-sided documents tend to have a high proportion of blank pages because the person doing the copying generally finds it easier to scan the whole bundle double sided.
The blank pages increase the file size and make working on the bundles very annoying.
Currently the only option is manually removing the blank pages, one at a time and although it solves the problem in the long run it is an immensely irritating chore itself.
Adobe support on Twitter thought they had a fix using the 'Page is empty' function in Preflight but it doesn't work because a scanned blank page is not detected as empty. It would be really useful to have a fix that could detect scanned blank pages as well as coping with the occasional small mark such as a hole punch hole or a scanner glass scratch/smear.
At the moment with remote working as a barrister I'm getting typically about 10% of blank pages routinely and up to almost 50% from time to time in 200 to 1,000 pages of a brief or set of instructions.
I can't send an example because all those I have contain legally sensitive material, I'm afraid.
A feature that identifies these blank pages and facilitates their removal would be immensely helpful.
There would need to be a 3-step 'Identify. Review. Remove.' approach because there will be some pages that have almost nothing on deliberately and it would be dangerous if one simply hit a button to "Remove all blank pages". That would be too blunt a tool.
There would definitely be a demand for such a tool in my field as the courts in England & Wales have gone on to double sided bundles as of the 6th April - https://www.civillitigationbrief.com/2019/04/02/the-rules-they-are-a-changing-new-rules-on-bundles-from-the-6th-april-2019/. Permit all characters in email addresses for Digital IDs
In Acrobat Pro DC, when adding a new Digital ID, there is an attribute 'Email'. Please allow all email addresses in that field. Do not arbitrarily limit characters in email addresses to: a-z A-Z 0-9 . @ - _
Today I want to use an address, from+dsig@example.com, using a '+' character. This is perfectly legal in my email address, and I should be able to use it in a digital ID.
Beyond that, email addresses are no longer limited to a subset of ASCII Latin letters. Addresses in many scripts are now legal, e.g. Hindi ईमेल-परीक्षण@सार्वभौमिक-स्वीकृति-परीक्षण.संगठन or Arabic
تجربة-بريد-الكتروني@تجربة-القبول-الشامل.موريتانيا or Chinese 電子郵件測試@普遍適用測試.組識.澳門 or many others. How to reproduce:
In Acrobat Pro DC (2021.001.20135) on macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra, do Acrobat Pro DC… Preferences…. Signatures… Identities and Trusted Certificates, More… The Digital ID and Trusted Certificates Settings dialogue appears.
Click on the "Add Digital ID" icon (picture of an ID card with a "+" on top). The "Add Digital ID" dialogue appears.
Select radio button "A new digital ID I want to create now", and press Next >. The Add Digital ID dialogue becomes a form with 7 fields.
In the "Email Address" field, type an address containing a "+", or a non-Latin character. Fill in the other fields reasonably. Press Next >.Observed behaviour: The following alert dialogue appears:
Acrobat Security
The 'Email' attribute contains an illegal character.
Only the following characters are permitted: a-z A-Z 0-9 . @ - _Expected behaviour: the Digital ID creation process continues, accepting the email address.
Discussion: Digital IDs are stored in files with the extension .p12.
They are presumably PKCS #12 format archives. RFC 8399 "Internationalization Updates to RFC 5280" specifies how to store such international email addresses, and my own little address with a "+" sign, in digital IDs.
I have a Digital ID in a .p12 file, which was created by a previous version of Adobe Acrobat Pro in December 2020, which has "+" sign in the email address. Thus Acrobat's limitation on email address characters seems to be a recent regression. In Acrobat Pro DC, when adding a new Digital ID, there is an attribute 'Email'. Extra line on a Japanese character that only gets printed and viewed on Adobe Acrobat
When viewing or trying to print the attached P1L1S1.pdf there is a character that is shown in the second image attached, that has an extra gray line visible only at certain zoom - like 400% - or when printed.
The issue is that the same file is printed and looks alright with other PDF viewers and editors - the only software with this issue is Adobe Reader one.
Can you please review this and let me know the cause?
Thank you!
