Validation of signed PDFs against (all applicable national) law(s)
In Switzerland, as in the EU and many other countries, appropriately digitally signed documents in PDF format are legally fully equivalent to paper-based original documents, signed in handwriting by (one or more) signatories in the presence of witnesses.
STATUS QUO
Country specific differences in national law applicable to establishing the legal adequacy of digitally signed documents with their paper-based equivalents require country specific validation of digitally signed documents against applicable sets of criteria.
The following criteria need to be fulfilled, in order for a digitally signed PDF file to be considered VALID in the sense of LEGALLY COMPLIANT with the…

Why do i have to keep signing in to use it. Why does it continually crash? Why has it stuffed my computer so that it runs at a snail pace?. You really have over engineered, over done the security, and over complicated this product. I will never use Adobe products again!!!!!

Digital signature is too complex for the average Joe, i.e. me
You need to make this easier and less quirky. I'm using a mac and have downloaded acrobat pro for windows and mac. It's taken me ages and youtube videos to create a digital signature and on a blank pdf I can add it. But when sent a pdf that already contains digital signatures it won't let me sign. In the end I used Mac Preview. This obliterated the original signatures but at least I could sign and send it back for resignature by others. The whole exercise is very unpleasant and very very annoying.

This new version makes using digital signatures and placing signature boxes extremely difficult.
There should simply be an option when you click to sign form to add a digital signature. That was a feature that existed before, but now it's much more difficult to create digital signature boxes.

Password removal possibility to be introduced
Hi, Once a receiver has opened a password protected file, it should be possible to remove the password if one wants. I am too sick of this.
As an example, I get monthly bill from the Mobile operators for just few dollars. The bill needs to be uploaded for claim. Currently I have to take the print the PW protected file first, then scan the printed copy and save it and then again upload it1 voteDocument Open Password cannot be removed unless document editing permissions are given to the password. So ,considering the issue resolved.

Bug Report
When I make a change to a file with Adobe Pro DC and try to save the file, Windows Defender is blocking access to the "Control Folder Access". It says to add the Adobe Pro DC exe file as a safe app. I can not locate the path. I have Windows 10 Creators Update OS.

creating certificate-based digital signature field
In Acrobat IX I could create a digital signature field where the user, when getting the form and entering their pertinent information, could simply click on the field to digitally sign the form using their certificates from the employee badge. Did this option disappear entirely now? I don't want customers to have to select window, preferences, signatures and draw a rectangle to sign the form. Allow users to set up a block so the customer just needs to click the field and select their stored credential to sign the form. This is a MUST have option.

How to protect password protect a larg number of files in a folder
a adobe rep said in this forum the following:"Since the secured PDFs cannot be combined as single PDF and are only available as PDF portfolio. Those can only be viewed in Acrobat or Reader."
Is there a way to convert multiple pdfs put into a single file/folder with a single password that would protect the large singlefile/folder without password pasword protecting each individual file? or work around?

Ability to save security settings in Adobe presets
Our agency has several custom presets when saving pdfs from Illustrator. We would like to limit one client from altering our pdfs. We can apply the security setting, however they do not save in the preset.
Please fix.1 voteDear User,
Please open the file in Acrobat.Go to Protect Tool from Tools Page.
Go to Encrypt— Manage Security Policies—New- Using passwords, public key certificates —Save as a Policy-and then choose the settings that you want to apply .
As the policy is saved, you can apply the policy next time on-wards
which appears as a template from Security Options(Control+D) on the file. -
Enhanced security breaks printing
Several of our clients who use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC have complained of issues printing PDF's. After troubleshooting the issue we found the cause to be the Enhanced Security option located in Security (Enhanced) in the Preferences. If this option is enabled, disabling it allows our staff to print. We even came to a point where we had to enable it and then disable it to fix printing. This issue seems to have started several weeks ago.

DocHub Security Patch
It would be good to have some sort of solution/ patch/ workaround/ update to prevent Google DocHub from being able to edit locked forms. I've noticed that by dropping an adobe pdf into DocHub does a few things:
1. Even if document password protected to prevent editing it is easily editable and doesnt seem to honor those security settings
2. When document is locked after signing DocHub allows all the previously fillable fields to be edited while still retaining the original signature
3. even if a fillable form is converted to flattened copy, once dropped into DocHub all the fillable…3 votes -
Certified Sigs Should Allow Timestamping by Judicial Court E-Filing Systems
Our county's superior court system requires that we e-file all documents into the court; upon filing a document with the system ("LINX"), LINX timestamps it.
This doesn't work with a certified e-signed document, because Adobe locks the document from future editing. If I try to e-file a certified copy, LINX immediately rejects the file, because of course LINX can't timestamp it.
I'm forced to print out the file, physically scan it again, and e-file the document that I had e-signed in the first place! Am I missing a checkbox somewhere that I can check, to force Adobe to allow editing…
2 votesHi Molly, Kevin,
Thanks for writing to us.
From what I understand, you require your PDF to be digitally signed again, after you have shared it after certifying and digitally signing by your signature? Can you please try these steps and see if this is what you require:
1. Open PDF in Acrobat DC. From Tools→ select ‘Prepare form’ app and click Start. Add (at least) 2 signature fields from top toolbar and save the document
2. Right click on the first signature field and select ‘Certify with visible signature’. In the Certify Document dialog that comes up, under ‘Permitted Actions After Certifying’, select ‘Form fill-in and digital signatures’
3. Now sign the document by adding your signature
4. Send the document to LINX nowDoes this solve your problem? Please let us know.
Thanks,
