2. Acrobat repeatedly steals Windows focus while performing OCR

   When Acrobat performs OCR on a large PDF, it repeatedly brings its window to the foreground and takes keyboard focus, apparently each time it moves to the next page.

   This prevents me from working in another application, such as Microsoft Excel, while OCR is running. Every few seconds, focus switches from Excel back to Acrobat. Any typing may then be interrupted or accidentally entered into Acrobat.

   OCR is a long-running background operation, particularly for documents containing hundreds or thousands of pages. Acrobat should not activate its window or take keyboard focus merely because it has moved to the next page.

   Steps to reproduce

   Open a large scanned PDF in Acrobat Pro on Windows.
   Select Scan & OCR and start OCR for the entire document.
   Switch to another application, such as Microsoft Excel.
   Begin typing or working in that application.
   Observe that Acrobat repeatedly comes to the foreground and takes focus as it progresses through the PDF.

   Expected result

   Acrobat should perform OCR in the background. It may update its taskbar progress indicator or show a notification when the operation finishes, but it should not activate its window or take keyboard focus.

   Actual result

   Acrobat repeatedly takes focus every few seconds, making the computer effectively unusable for other work until OCR completes.

   Requested fix

   Please change OCR processing so that page changes do not activate the Acrobat window. Alternatively, add an option such as “Run OCR in background” or “Do not bring Acrobat to the foreground during processing.”

5. Edit panel in New Adobe Acrobat is too large and cannot be collapsed

   I would like to provide feedback regarding the Edit panel in the new Adobe Acrobat interface.

   When I click “Edit PDF,” the Edit panel on the left side takes up a large portion of the screen. The problem is that there is no option to collapse or resize this panel while remaining in Edit mode.

   If I click the “X” button to close the panel, Acrobat exits Edit mode completely. When I click the Edit icon again, the large panel opens again. This creates a frustrating user experience and reduces the available workspace for editing PDF documents.

   In previous versions of Acrobat, it was possible to keep the editing tools accessible without such a large side panel occupying the screen. Please consider adding the ability to collapse, minimize, or resize the Edit panel while staying in Edit mode.

   This would greatly improve usability, especially for users working on laptops or smaller monitors.

7. Text Field Properties

   Anyone able to tell me my issue here? Can you see it?

   The Text Field Properties dialog has a fixed size and doesn't allow the interface to be scaled. On high-resolution displays (I'm using 2560×1440), the text is so small that it's difficult to read comfortably.

   For example, in the Name field, there's a period between the K and 4 in the field name (K.4 Comments of parentguardian.13). At the current UI size, that period is almost impossible to see without squinting, making it easy to misread or edit the wrong field.

   It would be incredibly helpful if Adobe added one of the following:

   The ability to resize or zoom the Text Field Properties window.
   A setting to increase the font size used in the dialog.
   Support for proper DPI scaling so the dialog respects Windows display scaling.

   From a development perspective, this seems like a relatively small UI enhancement, but it would make a significant difference for users who work with forms every day.

   I don't feel comfortable having to switch my monitor resolution from 2560×1440 to 1920×1080 every time I need to edit form fields just so I can read the interface without squinting.

   Anyone able to tell me my issue here? Can you see it?

8. BUG: can not type tilde character using "Shift+`"

   Pressing Shift+` does not type the tilde character in the text field. The only way to add the tilde character is by copy and pasting it from another website or application. Confirmed typing the tilde character in other apps, so it is likely not a hardware issue. macOS 26, Acrobat Pro ver. 2026.001.21745

9. Restore previous session doesn't work at all

   On Windows 11, using OneDrive, I close Acrobat and then reboot. When I start Acrobat again, there are no recent files and no files from the previous session. "Open PDFs from last session on Acrobat launch" is checked. I can't copy the version number here as it goes away when I shift focus.

10. BUG: E-Sign Advanced Editing dropdown options dialog is cut off unless Acrobat is maximized

    Description:
    When creating or editing a Drop Down field in E-Sign Advanced Editing, the Options dialog extends beyond the Acrobat window and is cut off whenever Acrobat is running in a restored (non-maximized) window.

    The problem occurs with every PDF.

    If Acrobat is maximized, the dialog displays correctly.

    Display scaling is 100%.

    Resolution is 1920 × 1080.

    This behavior began in the current Acrobat version and appears to be a user interface layout issue.

11. Bug - "Always display document page size" is broken in Acrobat.

    With the addition of AI features in Acrobat, the ability to permanently display the size no longer works. For weeks I could not see the size of PDFs and could not figure out why. I found out that by turning the feature off you can go back to dragging your mouse to the bottom left to see the size. This only works if you are zoomed out enough to have a border around the document. When the feature is enabled it is impossible to see the size. I have tested on multiple computers and with different themes and color options, it never works.

12. Message box loses superscript formatting, changes it to subscript

    There are already other notes. I add that the change occurs as soon as you choose "Post" -- the correct superscript continues to appear in the pop-up message box, but the entry in the comments sidebar posts IMMEDIATELY with subscripted version. See the .jpg image for this effect as snipped at the moment it occurred.

    Over the last updates lags and freezes increased (tho I own quite a submarine as PC). I'm not entirely sure, but I see the plugins as possible reason, while renaming a number of them in the plugins directory gives Acrobat more power and speed back.
    Why not make a "plugin" section similar to MS Office where plugins can be activated and deactivated (and stay after updates too)? Perhaps not so many people use Dropbox for example or don't make exzessive usage of the accessibility features - others may not deal with pre-print environment. I read about plugins a lot, perhaps such a hook-in functionality would serve more users?

17. Acrobat Pro defaults to Fill/Sign instead of eSign when trying to request esignatures.

    FIX THE DESKTOP APP! Acrobat Pro defaults to Fill/Sign, detects automatic fields and will not allow us to send esignature documents. It just spins indefinitely and I have to close multipe AcroCEF processes to get back to the beginning. Using Print to PDF to "flatten" the pdf also is not working. Telling us to just go online is also short cited. FIX THE APP!

20. Read Aloud Skipping Repeated Words in Alt Text

    After creating accessible documents in Word and importing to Adobe PDF, the Read Aloud feature would only speak the first instance of a word in image Alt Text, repeated words were skipped. Are there any solutions to this?
