2. Add an ability to determine when a batch action is at its last document

   Batch actions are currently limited in the JavaScript side since you can't know how many documents your script will run against.

   For context, I have many actions that have a dialog menu for options to select to customize the behavior of the actions. Unfortunately, without a way to know that the action is fully over, I have to make the user select the options for every document that they want to run individually, which prevents it from working as a "batch".

   I have a few ideas for how this could be done, none of which are mutually exclusive:

   1 . Add an event.numDocs property that tells how many documents are being run.

   Pros: Incredibly simple setup, and the developer would just need to count down from numDocs until it reaches 0 to know when the batch action is over.
   Cons: If the action is canceled or paused and re-run on a document, the count would be incorrect from then on.

   2 . Add an event.batchId with some sort of UUID that would be different each time you start a batch action.

   Pros: Also a simple setup. When the batchId is different from the previous one, you know to reset state
   Cons: You have to work in a reactive way to the change. You wouldn't be able to reset any state or anything until the next time the action is run as there's no way of knowing that you've reached the final document or that the action was canceled.

   3 . Add an event that can be subscribed to in the action for when the action is finished/canceled.

   Pros: Gives you a way to respond to cancellations or the finish to perform cleanup or actions as needed.
   Cons: Likely much more complicated setup for both Acrobat and script developers. Also, due to Acrobat's scripting for events being string function based, doesn't have a nice syntax or ability to work within closures.

   I believe my preferred combination would be 1 & 2 together since that would give redundancy and the ability to do a final bit of code when the action has finished going over all the documents.

   For anyone else with this problem, I came up with an initialization workaround for now that is much better than what is in the API Reference Docs. Although built-in functionality as mentioned above would still be much better.

   The idea is to use time to determine whether the current document being processed is part of the same batch or the start of a new batch. Given that generally the files switch on the span of a few seconds at most, we can check if the time between the last command of the previous file and the first command of the new file is less than X seconds. If it is greater than X seconds, we assume that it is the start of a new batch.

   This won't help if you need to perform an action specifically at the end of the batch, only the beginning.

   At the very start of the action:

3. Allow user to set default view for all links (not just bookmarks)

   Acrobat has already added a feature to allow users to set a default zoom level for new bookmarks.

   I would like a similar feature to added for links that a user creates that "go to a page view".

   When I create an index page in a document, I often add links to the index that will take the user to the particular items. It is my preference (much like with bookmarks) to have these links set to "inherit zoom". Unfortunately, there is no way to set a default zoom level of "inherit zoom" for new links.

   Doing this manually is cumbersome: first, the link has to be created; second, one has to edit the link, switch to the "action" tab, select "edit", change the zoom setting, then hit "ok". This has to be done for each link.

   It would be very helpful if a default zoom could be set for new links. Also, it would be helpful if the zoom setting could added as an option in the box that comes up at the time a link is created.

   Acrobat has already added a feature to allow users to set a default zoom level for new bookmarks.

5. Admin console Disabled users removal to be automated

   We have to request to remove disabled users automatically if exist in Admin console, as it is time consuming to remove bulk users manually.
   We are aware of the workflow but we are looking for automated approach not like below:
   the sync is one way process it syncs the user from the Associated AD to the admin console, in case the user is removed from the source AD account, the user is not deleted from Admin console rather the status turns disabled in the Admin console. So ideally after the user's status is disabled that should not occupy the license.

9. Bug: wrong aspect ratio image will be copied to clipboard

   How to reproduce:
   1. Open a document composed by non-squared rectangle page(s) contains image
   2. Rotate view clockwise or counterclockwise
   3. Select an image by selection tool and copy it to clipboard
   4. Paste to an application such as MS Paint

   Expected result:
   We can capture selected region as image.

   Observed result:
   We got a compressed image. It seems Acrobat uses original aspect ratio instead of rotated one.

   Environment:
   Acrobat Pro 2023.001.20143, Windows 10 22H2
   Acrobat Reader has same bug.

12. "Save As" Should Default To Same Folder As Source Files

    1. Select 2 PDF files is the same folder to combine.
    2. Combine then Adobe Acrobat DC.
    3. Choose "Save As".

    The default folder seems to be a random place on my computer. It's never the same folder as the one with the two files that I just combined. And it takes a bunch of typing or clicking to get back to the original folder.

    This happens every single time I combine files, making it really tedious to do something that should be easy.

    Please set the default folder for 'Save As...' equal to the folder where I opened the files.

    When combining multiple single-page PDFs into one large PDF, Acrobat steals window focus every few seconds. Acrobat is repeatedly seizing window focus and popping back on top of the other windows.

    I would like to continue work while Acrobat works, but I can't. Instead, acrobat grabs the mouse and keyboard back every few seconds. This renders my computer completely unusable while Acrobat is running.

    To replicate this bug:

    1. Select 50 PDF files.
    2. Right-click and choose "Combine in Acrobat"
    3. Inside Acrobat, click "Combine".
    4. Return to work.

    While you are trying to work, Acrobat will continue to steal focus and push it's window on top of anything else you try to work on. You can't even use an internet browser or answer email.

    Can you please add a feature for the reader to allow windows that provide video transcripts to be able to pop open and be read from an exported web page to pdf on my iMac please. I am in a eCornell classroom and need my video transcriptions for notes!! 18. New Acrobat Interface is awful

    PLEASE....please.....don't ever disable or fail to support the "Disable New Acrobat" in View. The new interface is awful and there is no real support for it. Took me a half-hour to figure out "find and replace" and still didn't get it to work well. Stamps are in a bad place.

    All ok as long as this isn't forced on us until a LARGE volume of help and online answers to questions builds up...like in 2026.

19. can't resize window

    Since the recent update, I find I need to hold the window in position for a few seconds in order for it to stay where I put it. This is also the case when resizing a window. Unless I hold it in the new size for a few seconds, it just snaps back to the old size. THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN BEFORE. PLEASE FIX.

20. Allow fields to be made transparent without having to delete a field first.

    In Adobe Sign, when you delete a field it will automatically go the next field and that field will be transparent. But that is the only way to make a field transparent. Please allow an option to make a field transparent without having to delete anything as it makes it MUCH easier to line up fields.
