Make Auto OCR a switchable preference, not default!
Auto OCR cannot be switched off, but is not always welcome nor even meaningful. Moreover, it takes a lot of time and/or many its to the 'cancel' button.
Please, make it selectable preference - as it was before.4 votes -
Be able to link text fields so that text entered will wrap from one to the next
When creating a form, allow text fields to be linked so when someone is filling out the form the text wraps into the next field instead of making the font size smaller.

preferences>general dialogue box too large
When I go to change the preferences > general, the dialogue box is too large, and i cannot access the cancel or okay button. I either have to change my display resolution to make it show in its entirety on the screen, or i have to tab, tab, tab to 'hopefully' get to the button to select it, without seeing it. All other dialogue boxes to the other sections seem to resize perfectly, utilizing a second or third column of text, i.e.Preferences> Page Display. Fortunately, this issue with the General section seems to be the only one.

Need the Ability to Assign Multiple Licenses for Acrobat to One User
We have users with more than two endpoints and I imagine others do to. We need the ability to have a single user with more than two signed in instances. Happy to pay for the licenses, just need the capability.

Tool bars
Would be great if more customization would allow user to choose to see only the tools they would like to see. Way too many tools on tool bar that are not used. The unused ones take up space that I would prefer to have the tools i use often occupy. Results in multiple unnecessary clicks to access the tools I do use. I have customized the quick tool bar but when reviewing a document in portrait mode only 2 of those are displayed - and can only access the others with additional clicks. Meanwhile many are displayed that I have…

Save guides in Acrobat Pro
Hello Adobe/Acrobat Team,
Please add an option to save guides when saving PDFs. Having to reset guides each time I open a document is frustrating.
Thank you

File >save > and you get a empty window with no function or options.
when you try to use the save or save as function from the menu you have an empty window with no functions or options so you cannot save. I trick the system by doing a reduce file.... Mac OS Mojave 10.14.06 it is annoying.

It would be great if the editing part of Adobe would give you the ability to choose different color highlighters.

Adobe Acrobat for Linux to comply with State for Tax forms and IRS, and realestate, etc.
Need Adobe Acrobat for Linux. Most fill-ins do not work with the third party software available for Linux systems. So, we have to pay the M/S tax to do tax forms that our state demands.

Support of AV1 Image File Format avif for smaller and better quality pictures
To minimize size and keep a good quality the support of AVIF pictures should be considered. In most cases it gives you just what you want, small sizes and great quality. Especially for archiving scans in color it's really nice, even for a mix of pictures, text and grained colors.

Extremely slow verification of digital signatures on MAC
When Acrobat tries to verify digital signatures, it checks validity of all certificates included in the signed .pdf document. During this operation, it consults well-known Root CA authorities, locally trusted certificates, but also fetches all certificates from PKCS#11 Digital-ID token (if attached).
Since PKCS#11 Digital-ID tokens might be very slow, fetching certificates from it multiple times during each signature verification takes excessive amounts of time. No caching seems to be used in Acrobat: if the .pdf document contains 6 certificates, all certificates from Digital-ID token are fetched 6 times and this process might take 2.5 minutes.
This is a bug…

It's 2020--we need Acrobat Pro x64 for Windows
It's 2020. We still do not have Acrobat Pro x64. Our company develops engineering solutions around the world for aerospace and car companies, and the aerospace models are enormously complex--despite all efforts to compress models and use other formats to reduce size, the fact is that Acrobat does not handle these well, often freezing or crashing (even more prevalent since the Windows 10 required switch, as Win10 is so consistently buggy). It's 2020 and there is no excuse that we're still asking for a 64-bit version of Acrobat Pro on Windows. If you've already moved to x64 for Mac, you've…

White Margins
When converting, printing, or saving a document to PDF, Adobe Acrobat creates "white margins" on each conversion. To remove the extra margins you have to follow these steps for every document:
- Open PDF in Acrobat
- Select More Tools
- Select Print Production
- Select Set Page Boxes
- Check Remove White Margins
This will remove the white margins created by Adobe and use the margins of the original document. I'm told from Adobe Support there isn't a way to permanently set a user preference to prevent adding white margins. Please enable this function as it is currently a pain to have to change…

Allow spell check for all content within Acrobat
I think adding a feature to spell check all content within a PDF would be greatly beneficial for everyone. Our company uses spell check within Word all the time to ensure no egregious errors are present, but when documents are pulled into artwork, we then lose that ability to do a spell check. Many companies work strictly out of Acrobat for most of their process, but the only thing spell check is able to review on the artwork is comments. If it could review all content, it would help save errors in printing which would save companies money. If you…
