  1. The Help menu should be accessible even if the user is signed out of the software. The help menu allows us to update the software to latest version, repair the software, get help, and show status. These are all important to our IT team, which in the course of regular business, needs to log into users computers (with their own IT domain user account, not the users) to perform upgrades or repairs. The IT team should not have to ask the user for their login to do so. For example, if I log into a user’s computer using my domain…

  3. After marking up edits (using the Comments tools of Strikethrough, Replace text and Insert text) in PDF proofs generated by InDesign, I want to be able to view and copy the edited text as it will now apppear, without the mark-up. This is because it is extremely difficult to read and understand the result of numerous complex edits in the PDF, and also I want to send the revised text to other people to check that the final version reads ok. So I envisage it as selecting the edited text in the PDF and being able to copy and paste…

  4. For what it’s worth, this is coming from a guy that used to be kenc@microsoft.com (1988-97) – “Ken C-is-for-Chart”, they called me (an area I was responsible for in Works and just a bit in Excel) – Microsoft, where half the folks I worked with were, like the agent today, from India! And it has occurred to me, as I have observed the program behavior detailed in the accompanying doc file, that hey, if I were the programmer on the other end of the program – Acrobat, in this case – I would want to know about this behavior!

    Given…

  5. When highlighting, offer the highlight to be bookmarked.

Highlighting is done to something worthy of attention and therefore having need for later recall and return. I am reading a 200 page document and I have liberally highlighted interesting parts of the text, many on the same page. Now how do I revisit those highlighted parts? I am having to scroll through the entire document page by page in full page view to do that. A bookmark created while highlighting would serve that purpose perfectly. The name of the bookmark would be entered by the user if he wishes (some default…

  6. While creating a new bookmark put the destination page number somewhere in its name so I know where it is by looking at it in the list. Maybe suffix the name (which the user enters) with page number, separated by a hyphen, eg, "Rio Accord - p.34" to indicate that this bookmark was created on page 34. Offer the semi-completed name (eg, "- p.34") with the page number already in it to the user to complete (eg, by inserting "Rio Accord") during bookmark creation. This would give a good idea of where the various topics I marked lie in the…

  7. Request: Improve dialog for scanning settings

Pain Point: When scanning documents, I sometimes need to select single-sided scanning and other times 2-sided scanning. It is cumbersome to have to click on the "gear icon" for document type, e.g., color and then also have to click on a very small option for 1 or 2-sided scanning.

Desired result: Build in sets of radio buttons to quickly establish document type, color mode, e.g., color, gray or black and white, and 1 sided or 2 sided scanning.

  8. Hello Adobe,

I do a lot of cropping of pdf file pages in the Edit PDF menu and some steps I have to repeat over and over because often the text in each page is off-center, sometimes randomly. I would like to suggest some small improvements to streamline those steps.
In the Edit PDF tool "Crop Pages" setting, you select an area and double click it which opens the "Set Page Boxes" dialogue box. Under "Page Range" you determine which particular pages this cropping will affect.
IT WOULD BE GREAT if the number indicating the last page, after the "To"…

  9. Scolling on a pdf when opening it prevents login.
    Steps to reproduce:
If you open a pdf and click on the scrollbar and move it up and down login will not be done while you keep moving the bar, same think for the mouse wheel, if you keep moving the mouse wheel the login will not take place thus delaying access to features.

  10. When I go to [All Tools -> Organize Pages -> Split, it displays a pop-up to enter how to split it. I generally need to use the "Number of Pages" option with it being every "1" page. When I type the # 1 with the key on top of my keyboard, all is well. However, when I type the # 1 with my number pad, the letter "a" displays instead of a 1. The same applies for 2, 3, 4, etc.. It will display b, c, d, respectively. It's not a deal breaker, but it doesn't seem to work as…

  11. I mark up, comment, to 50 student scripts in a day. For every file I load, I have to click 3 buttons.
How can I set up Reader so every time I open a file, all those buttons are already clicked?

  12. Edit Image -> Edit Using -> Open With...
The external image editing software I had was installed to a different drive than the C drive. Even though I pointed Adobe to where the EXE was, Adobe just gave an error that it was unable to open the image in the external application. I uninstalled my image editing app, re-installed to the C drive, pointed Adobe to the new path and the image editing app launched and opened the image.

Adobe should not require the external app to be installed to the C drive in order to function.

  13. In Windows 11, the side toolbar placement is right on top of the document being viewed, obscuring the content (screenshot attached). There is no option to drag and drop it somewhere else. This was not an issue in Windows 10.

Moreover, the toolbars allow for customization, but there is no option to set those customizations as the default, so every time the app gets launched for a new sessions, I have to reset my desired customizations again. This wasn't an issue in Windows 10.

  14. Bug Report:

I am distributing pdf files on USB drives that are locked for read only at the hardware level. Until about 6 months ago, I was able to do this with PDF files. Now, when I try to open a pdf file on a locked drive, I get an error that the file is corrupted. I can unlock the drive and then the file can be viewed without issue in Reader or Acrobat. I see this bug using two different manufacturers USB drives. It also reproduces using pdf/a files rather than standard pdf files. Marking the pdf file as…

  15. When I open a PDF from my PC, add some comments and click File -> Save, or Ctrl + S, Adobe Reader requires me to choose a save location as if I chose the "Save as" option, instead of just overwriting the original file. It doesn't always do this; I don't know why it does or doesn't. I'm using Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.2846.

  16. I recommend a feature that allows the user to rotate a page by any number of degrees (NOT just 90 degrees). This is a common feature in other applications like file explorer and many third party apps. After scanning a document, some pages are skewed. After applying Scan and OCR, and Edit PDF, both of which align pages by text, I still have a page or two that are a few degrees off. I just spent an hour with your chat trying to fix this in one of my files but we discovered acrobat pro does not have this feature.…

  17. Hello,

I tried checking the forums to see if my idea was presented yet. I did not find it and have scrolled a lot of pages.

So... my feedback is regarding the Adobe Create PDF Group Add-in in MS Office on the Ribbon. The Adobe Group Add-in keeps coming back when I remove it. I have been very thorough in my attempts of removing it, to the point of deleting the registry keys for it several times. I mean like, I kill it hard but it keeps coming back.

Please do not make coding that bypasses the settings we put…

  18. EVERYTHING in this update is ridiculously difficult to navigate.
I have had to go through every **** menu or research to find what I need. Why on earth would you do this?
Why move save to postscript where it is not clearly found?

  19. Please add the extract files button back. This is the main feature I use and it now is taking twice as long. How am I supposed to invoice my client for additional time because YOUR software has changed?!
If your developers cannot be bothered doing that then at lease let us have a button to set so we don't have to click that **** thing EVERY SINGLE TIME!
THIS IS A VERY INCONVENIENT CHANGE for those of us who extract a huge amount of documents.
