  3. Previous versions of Acrobat would hide comments when their status changed and no longer matched the current filter. Can we bring this back? It makes doing corrections so much easier.

  5. If we create a tagged PDF from InDesign, the contents item for hyperlinks is missing. This can be fixed with Acrobats single preflight fix: Create Contents Item For Link Annotations.

However, this broke already in 2019 and still is broken in 2020!
In 2018 it works in one go.

In 2019 and 2020 we have to run it is many as five times before it is actualy applied!

We save the document each time under a different name, sometimes the third time we run the fix it sticks, sometimes after five times, sometimes not at all.

    Now we heard this…

  8. As an agency, we prepare artwork in Indesign and PDF to send to clients. All work is proofed within Acrobat prior to sending and amended if required.

Any amends are re-pdf'd and re-proofed. These amends need to stay under the same version no (read file name) but unfortunately Acrobat now caches pdfs so if we amends a document within indesign and re-open in acrobat with the same file name, it will open the older cached version and not the updated version.

Because this is our internal proof, this file name and version no needs to stay the same before we…

  10. I used acrobat to create a fillable pdf. Now, when I receive them back, I want to be able to combine them into 1 pdf. When I do that, it overwrites all the fields with the info from the first file. Incredibly not helpful. If there was a box that I could check that would tell the program to flatten the files before they were combined, that would be helpful.

  11. When sharing a file for feedback, it would be nice if the shared file would update once changes are made and resaved. So you don't have to send a new link, which could get confusing if someone opens the wrong link. I hope that made sense. If this is already possible, someone please fill me in.

  12. I am encountering problems with poorly labeled controls in the Acrobat DC Action Wizard. As a blind screen reader user, I would greatly appreciate anything you can do to improve the control labels that are spoken by screen readers. I am using the JAWS 2020 screen reader with Acrobat DC version 20.006.20042.
    The issues I have encountered:

    1. Some of the button control labels are unclear and it is difficult to determine which control has focus. For example, when adding a Watermark, the button to add the watermark is spoken as “Add”. If I press “space” to select this option, another…

    Hi,
I checked the issues after your response.

For point 2, the behaviour is as designed. It seems that the user have to select the option as the default selected item is the last added item in RHP and if no addition is done, then none of the option is selected. Further, I’m not able to hear “AV container View” with controls. I’ve informed the engineering team regarding this.

For point 3, I have raised the issues with engineering team and hopefully it will be fixed in future release.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  16. A PRIME EXAMPLE is when a document comes back fully signed in ADOBESIGN, the last page(s) are the activity sheets. I need to delete these prior to forwarding the document. The originator of the document sent SHOULD HAVE the ability to delete these pages and any others as needed.

  17. Acrobat just updated and now I have no control over the creation of fields in forms as it constantly defaults to auto fill. What a mess and right on deadline! Please a simple button which turns this on or off, with the default to off as auto still only does half the job and now I find I can't over ride it...even in the preferences forms section...I am not a happy user!

  18. The bookmark tool only allows you to change the colourt of the text and not the background colour.

It would be useful to be able to have say yellow tabs with black text

It would be useful to have simple coloured bookmarks which operate like coloured tabs in level arch files. These can mark out a particular top eg jet engine fan blade orders

In addition these can be nested sorted/arranged if necessary with secondary labels/hidden text which appears when you hover over them.

  19. Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20034, Entering a number in the Maryland application form for absentee ballot, a four digit field removes the leading 0. This leading 0 is necessary. I have fiddled with properties some but I will have to print the form and fill that in by hand.
