Can you add a feature that locks fill-in form fields?
I built a fill-in form using a PDF template. Turns out the PDF displayed incorrectly for one of my users, so I created a replacement template PDF. When I switched it out, all my fill-in form fields significantly moved. Would love a feature that would allow the fields to be locked before replacing template. Thank you.
1 voteBarbara,
To avoid accidental changes to the form field, select Locked in the lower-left corner of the Properties dialog box before you close it. To unlock, click the option again.
I hope it work for you .

Print as PDF from Adobe Acrobat on Mac
I know there is an option to "Save as PDF". However, sometimes, you don't want to "Save as PDF". You may want to "Print as PDF" (as it is in windows).
These 2 are different since "saving as PDF" simply saves the page as it is while "Printing as PDF" gives one the flexibility of saving as booklet, multiple pages e.t.c.
Also, "printing as PDF" enables one to save PDF forms that are not traditionally enabled for saving.
All these are important and standard features on the Windows version of the software.

Move menubar to titlebar or remove it completely and make it some buttons in toolbar
Move the menu bar to title bar like Photoshop and stop wasting screen space. I always have to press F9 after opening each PDF file because I rarely use menus and they insist to be there to waste my time and space.

Remove hang time when opening small document on $4000AUD PC
I'd rather the document not open fully until Acrobat DC Pro sorts itself out. The hang time in today's fast pace world eats away at me... Please fix!

mirror a scanned image
Haven't been able to find a method to mirror a scanned pdf image. Your older software worked relatively easily, but not Adobe Acrobat Pro DC!

PDF Distiller to work with internal encyrpted documents
We have internally developed, encrypted PDF forms that we own the intellectual property for. We make these available to internal users to generate publicly distributed documents where company private data has been removed via a control on the page. At present PDF Distiller complains that it cannot re-author an encrypted file. But if we own the encrypted file, there should be a way to internally sign this document for use amongst our users without needing to release the encryption password to our users. There are elements within the form that even our users are not permitted to alter, hence the…

Make the menu/tool system easier to use.
Please put some thought into the menu and tool system. Try to develop a logical interface with the goal of making it easy to use. Basically dump what you have now and either go back to earlier versions or start over. Consider hiring someone to manage the process.

PDF Compairion issues
While comparing PDF docs, most of the differences are not the real ones, but due to font, fill, color, size. How would I avoid getting differences due to the above reasons.

Why does it take so long to Open acrobat, I believe you need to login every time it opens. Which is annoying when you don't have internet.
Annoyed that Acrobat always need internet to log in, every time I open a PDF file, just slows down the process. I'm in a third world country and internet is slow, so every time I open PDF, it's slow. Just log me in once and that's it.

Acrobat Pro won't open
I have used Acrobat Pro for years without a problem. I am using version 9 on a Mac running 10.13.6.
I used CleanMyMac yesterday to clean out some files and after restart Acrobat Pro won't open. The first thing that happens is that I get a message saying that Acrobat Pro wants to make changes and I need to put in my password. I do that and then Pro crashes. If I don't put in my password, I get a second error message that says Authentication Failed. I've attached screenshots of both.
I assume I deleted something I shouldn't have.…

Security of printed documents removed after every update
Can you please find a way to retain security settings after an update of Acrobat. It is very annoying(and unsecure) after automatic updates to find that you have been printing unsecured documents because an update removed your previous security settings.

Automatically open the appropriate navigation tab after initial display properties are changed. I hate having to open it myself.
When I change the initial view to display the pages or bookmarks panel and click OK, I wish the program would automatically open the appropriate panel for me instead of having to do it myself. It's almost easier to close the file and re-open it than it is to go open the panel myself.

GOMS efficency in reviewing documents
I do a lot of reviewing of documents (I'm a lecturer in a college). In the old version of acrobat, I could (for example) select text and delete using the keyboard. Now I have to select text, move to the mouse, hit the right key, and select the menu item 'strikethrough'. This is a much more extensive interaction that takes a lot of extra time when you have a 200 page 1st draft thesis in front of you for example, that might need 20 such interactions per page. GOMs theory backs that me up here. Am I missing something: is…

acrobat Pro DC keeps shutting down
Why is Adobe Acrobat shutting down all the time now. I am working on a major project and the program is constantly shutting down. Is this going to get fixed? I am so frustrated. What is the solution? I cannot get this project done with this happening all the time. I have a cloud subscription.
