1. My idea is a CLEAR way to disable the AI assistant feature.

   How can we turn off these unwanted AI assistants? I asked it, and of course it was incorrect. Told me to go to settings, which I did not find in any clear way in the Adobe reader program. Intrusive and unwanted constantly popping up to 'help'.

2. Remove all generative AI functions.

   This is not an idea, I just wanted to provide feedback that generative AI tools are an instant turn-off. I would vastly prefer a program that helps fight against the use of generative AI by protecting my documents from AI programs. I would pay more money to use a program that does not feature any kind of AI assistance, AI suggestions, AI integration of any kind.

   We used to live in a world where corporations understood that when a user has a positive experience with a product or service, they will only tell one or two people, but if they have a negative one, they will tell many people. Within that context, I hope you understand that the pop-up ads I keep getting suggesting I upgrade to a version with more generative AI tools and the unremovable AI integration in the layout of the program are the kinds of things that make me want to not only find a permanent replacement for any and all Adobe products (not restricted to Acrobat, which this is about), but also to then enthusiastically recommend that everyone I know stop using Adobe as well and switch to another product. It is my strong belief -- and I very much look forward to this day -- that every tech company that jumped to integrate AI into their products are going to find that this is one of the most negative decisions in their entire corporate history regarding the stability and loyalty of their userbases, and more importantly, their bottom line. I expect some companies, household names, will go out of business due to the generative AI bubble, and as mentioned, that will be a great day. Generative AI instantly makes me think less of any product or service that integrates or uses it, and the only possible solution to this is to at least offer a version of the product that does not integrate AI in any way.

   I am submitting this idea despite the many others that are posted exactly like it in the hopes that each one receives many votes calling it critical and ultimately you are forced to choose between your irrational devotion to bad tech and your consumers.

3. Suggestions to improve Acrobat's "Review Recognized Text" UI & functional capability

   The UI of the existing "Review Recognized Text" UI (& its functionality) is outdated and BADLY needs improvement. Today, it still only has buttons to "Accept" or "Cancel" [stops the entire operation}, plus it permits the user to manually "edit" how that item will be recognized (just this time) before the user selects "Accept".

   These two options themselves don't need to change, but - alone - they are TERRIBLY inadequate, particularly when reviewing a very long document in which the exact same item appears as "unrecognized' many, many times. Other OCR products offer much more helpful additional buttons, which - after all these years - Acrobat should include in its OCR "Review" feature, including specifically:

   1. "Accept All": For this instance and for every other instance of this exact same unrecognized item in this document, "Accept" then all in the same manner as I am indicating here (by having either left unchanged the proposed suggestion or manually edited this item before I clicked this "Accept All" button).

   2. "Skip": Do nothing about this item and move on to the next unrecognized item (I don't want to accept your incorrect suggestion, but I don't want this item "cleared", either.)

   3. "Skip All": Same as above, but also bypass every other identification of this exact same unrecognized item throughout the remainder of this document.

   Presently, the feature includes NO repeating mechanism at all and it includes NO method to simply bypass an "unrecognized" item other than to manually edit it AND, in doing so, to make certain to leave it with at least a blank space.

   These UI/design/capability omissions have made reviewing "unrecognized text" -- particularly when reviewing long documents -- a genuine PITA-level chore.

   I cannot imagine "why" these should be difficult to include, as other OCR products long ago have **** so. So I'm very disappointed that Adobe has ignored these needed improvements.

   FWIW, my other improvement wish here is for this tool to be capable of "learning", that is to be "taught" by the User to always cause the same item to be "recognized" as the User instructs in all future documents and included an editable table of such User-instructed changes (other OCR software I've used included this capability.) I recognize this capability likely would require A LOT of additional work, so cannot be expected anytime soon.

   But I believe my 3 suggestions above should be easy to include, so I urge prompt attention to implementing them.

4. PDF file appears twice on the taskbar

   I am using Adobe PDF Reader, and when I first open a PDF file, it appears correctly as a single icon on the taskbar. However, when I move the window to another monitor using Win + Shift + Arrow key, the same PDF file appears twice on the taskbar—as if two instances of the same file are open.

   I would like to resolve this issue so that only one taskbar icon is shown, even after moving the window to another monitor.

5. AI preferences not saving

   I do not want AI summaries, etc. More important, my clients do not want me to use AI. So why must I go in EVERY DAY to change my preferences to remove the Generative AI prompts? If all my other preferences are saved, why isn't that one? Please fix this bug. I need to be able to choose whether or not I use AI.

7. Remove internal ads from paid version of Acrobat

   Can we please have a debloated home screen in Adobe Acrobat?

   Looking at the current layout, half the screen is wasted on stuff I’ll never use:
   • Curated project ads like “Unlock your sales potential with TED” — this isn’t why I opened Acrobat.
   • AI features pushing “summarize your notes” when all I want is to view and edit PDFs.
   • Meeting transcription integration — how is this even related to a PDF tool?

   And the strangest part: if I’m running Acrobat DC (formerly Acrobat Pro, Acrobat X, etc.), that already means I’m a paying customer. Why is the home screen still trying to upsell me with irrelevant promos?

   All of this clutters the interface and makes the actual purpose of Acrobat harder to reach. A Publisher Mode without ads, promos, or unrelated features would make Acrobat far more usable.

   Please pay attention to those of who are asking to have the AI feature stop intruding into our work. Actions (in this case inaction) speak louder than words, and you are telling me very clearly to stop using adobe, because you insist on imposing "AI" on me at every step. Given the demonstrated problems with hallucinations in AI, your are offering is a threat, not a bonus.

10. Remove AI and clean up your feature request / bug reports

    Remove AI. Also, actually look at your feature requests and bug reports. There are odd submissions for dating sites, fps hacks, and a bunch of other suspicious activity that does not belong here. Also, please remove AI. If you want me to use AI, I will and will stop using adobe. I bet ChatGPT can make me a better PDF than whatever garbage acrobat is doing.

    Useful function in previous comment made in 2017 quoted below was replied by Adobe to work on but yet to be incorporated in the latest adobe acrobat version in 2025:

    It would be nice if users can create and manage custom status tags. Often when I'm addressing comments I use the status tags for organizing which comments I've addressed and how I address them. I turn them on and off to keep track of which one's I've addressed. For the most part they are usually accepted or rejected, but sometimes there are some that should be addressed by someone else, some that require further clarification, some that I simply want to put on the back-burner but don't want to see when I filter out comments that have not been addressed, and other types. The remaining options of "Cancelled" or "Completed" don't always fit and that has created confusion in the past. it would be nice if there were more options in order to improve the usefulness of the filtering tool and to eliminate confusion among reviewers.

    Hope Adobe can promptly incorporate this useful function.

This is because EU law only distinguishes between the following three signature types: 1. Normal Signing; 2. Advanced Signing; and 3. Qualified Signing. Can better alternatives be devised for these names from a user perspective that would more clearly indicate the difference?

13. Printing PDFs from macOS 26 hit and miss

    Printing some forms and documents from Acrobat Pro works while others don't. The application opens the printer (HP M454dw with the latest firmware), but then never prints and never generates an error message.
    However, printing the same document that fails to print in Acrobat Pro works in the free version of Acrobat Reader.
    It also works with Apple's Preview app. Only the Pro version of Acrobat seems to experience a problem

15. BUG REPORT!!!!!!! Replacing a TOC page with list of hyperlinks FAILS - why is Acrobat such a piece of garbage??!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?

    I was hoping to post a bug report on this piece of garbage [SH*T] application but here I am joining a group to post this to everyone who needs to know just what an absolute piece of garbage Adobe Acrobat is, and has always been.

    908-page doc with two pages of the 8 pages of contents that needs to be replaced with two new pages that have external hyperlinks.

    These two page work exactly as they should as separate standalone pages.

    But when I replace - side note - why is the text window on this also garbage platform cutting off the text I am typing? Did no one test this garbage as well... when I replace the two pages in the 908-page document, the EFFING hyperlinks disappear, all I have is two pages of blue underlined text with no operative hyperlinks.

    So here I am once again with this utterly pathetic useless garbage app doing what should be a 5-minute update and I am now an hour or more into NOT GETTING THIS DONE.

    Who is responsible for Adobe Acrobat and why do they exist?

    I am NOT posting an IDEA - I am posting a TIRADE because once again a simple operation in the most useless piece of **** application Adobe has ever dreamed up is sucking time from me and the client is waiting.

    Refund my entire year's subscription because this is what it is costing me in time and money - and it should only take 5 minutes.

    Sick and tired of Adobe's ********. Sell the company back to someone who knows what they're doing.

    Idiots.

16. Edits on one page appearing across other pages of a document

    When I edit a document, whether it be striking out a word or adding a new paragraph it will past the same actions across multiple pages within my document. Its a bug I cant seem to get rid off. I just want the one area edited not pasting what I am editing across every page of my document. Makes the program unusable.

17. pop-ups

    Get your fingers out of my business. I pay the full price to use your software. So stop shoving pop-ups for new functions and other services in my face. I'm trying to work here. I'm not here for fun, and I sure as **** am not here for YOU. It's supposed to be the other way around. You're supposed to be the industry leader; act like it or I'll find another provider. They'll still push pop-ups in front of me, but they'll charge half the price for it. You should be ashamed.

    AI Insanity!

    Provide a verifiable way to completely remove AI Assistant in Adobe Reader. I do not want an AI anything capturing any financial or other privacy related documents and processing them in the cloud, especially in Beta form. Most users will not read to the point of understanding the cloud aspect of this. This is a ridiculous and even dangerous function to offer, promote and even present to the general user.

19. Horrendously Ridiculous Gawdawful New Design

    Your new design is Horrendous. I can't find anything. Why do you shuffle everything around and hide all the most useful tools so no one can find them. Do you delight in making your users crazy? Not to mention terribly inefficient - it takes me 5 times longer to create and edit a document and even then it's not how I want it to appear. I often have to just save and move the file to my old PC and work off my old Adobe Acrobat (in no time it turns out just how I want it!!). Who on earth thought up this new design?!?!?

20. Combine fillable forms with identical field names in one pdf

    When merging two/more fillable forms that contain identical field names (e.g., 'Name' in two distinct form sections) into one document, the information from the first form automatically populates the corresponding fields across all forms. There should be an opt-out from this feature to prevent data duplication when the forms represent different information and still need to be combined in one document.
