document picture insertion form field
You have implemented this feature 5 years ago https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/19741672-add-an-addional-field-type-picture-field-in-the
It seems like the feature is thus far undocumented: https://opensource.adobe.com/dc-acrobat-sdk-docs/pdfstandards/PDF32000_2008.pdf
Would it be possible that you could document it in your next iteration of the pdf specs so that we can have a chance of it working in other software as well?
I have tested and the feature works in both acrobat and foxit, but when I load the document in any browser, the picture insertion field does not work...
I can't believe it if I am the only one facing this brick wall...
We are an NGO with the purpose of creating infrastructure for artists, and we need this feature so we can make forms for them to claim stuff they are entitled too.. Telling them to install additional software (like acrobat) to be able to use it will be a non starter for some..

Be able to see what fields user specified in sent AdobeSign document.
When you send a document for signature through AdobeSign you cannot see what fields you added (ie: signature, date, title, etc) after clicking send. It would be nice to look at unsigned documents and be able to see which fields were inserted as you can with DocuSign.

Change default number of pages when splitting documents
**NOT FIXED FOR NEW VERSIONS ONLY OLD
Need the ability to change the number of default pages when splitting a document from 2 to 1. I never have to split the document into 2 page increments and changing that number from 2 to 1 every time is tedious and slow. I saw this was fixed 4 years ago but the new versions of Acrobat Pro have the issue again with no solution.1 vote -
Not happy.

Misleading prompt on files created using XFA LiveCycle
Idea posted here as a recommendation following the resolution of the ticket: E-000877044.
When a user tries to open a XFA PDF that was created using LiveCycle, with a non-Adobe viewer they would get an error stating the following:
"To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.htm"
This is shown even if the user already has installed Adobe Acrobat Reader, they just have not set it as their default PDF viewer.
That message should say something like:
“Adobe LifeCycle Designer files are only supported by Adobe Acrobat Reader, please open this file with Adobe Acrobat Reader”.We have hundreds of users losing days talking to our internal service desk teams getting version upgrades just because of that misleading statement and we would like to suggest changing the verbiage of that warning.
In our case, those files are created by Adobe Document Services within SAP Process Control for offline work item processing.

ADOBE is one big ******* disappointment
Hire people who actually know what they are doing instead of the CHEAP ******* labor you are obviously OUTSOURCING TO! Your program is actually more unstable than autodesk now! I thought that was impossible

Bug on Mac 2023: file does not revert upon document close
Editing PDF and then choosing "Don't save" retains some recent changes in memory. Despite discarding changes, some of them remain when the file re-opened while the app remains running. Closing the app and then re-opening file reverts changes.

Need Mid Tier Acrobat Subscription For Form Filling
Should create a new mid level tier of Acrobat, call it Acrobat Desktop or something similar, and offer a $20/year subscription. Include basic reader functionality but add the ability to add text to existing PDF documents. As a casual user that might need to fill a form a few times a year I cannot justify a Professional subscription at $20/mo, but a basic Desktop subscription for $20/year I would sign up immediately.

Edit Scanned Content contextual menu creates usability issues.
Simply clicking on a part of a scanned document with the pointer tool causes Acrobat to stall while it loads the Edit Scanned Content contextual menu, making it unable to respond for several seconds. Doing any amount of activity on Acrobat causes about 60% slower production as it very easily spends more time non-responsive than responsive. There should be an option to disable the menu from within the menu itself, or toggled from a toolbar. I cannot find a way to deactivate it.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a large scanned document.
- Run OCR on the document.
- Attempt to select text with the pointer tool starting from just beyond the text.
- Acrobat assumes you're trying to edit a photo, and becomes non-responsive for approximately 15 seconds, then a contextual menu appears.

Remove small box next to cursor
There is a small white box to the bottom right of the cursor when I have the selection tool active and pointing at anything other than text. Please remove this as it serves no purpose and is a distraction.

File size increases greatly with only one comment
I do not understand why the file size increases so much when adding only one comment. The original file is only 66 KB. Adding a comment of a name makes the file size 1.39 MB. This is absolutely ridiculous. I used a different program to do the same thing, and the file was only 67 KB. When you have larger files with multiple comments, it becomes an issue with emailing the files. This has become an increasingly frequent issue over the last couple of years. I have no idea what has changed along the way, but this issue really needs some attention. I also would love the comment pane to stay closed unless specifically opened.
