  1. In Acrobat Pro DC, I'd like a way to equalize the width of space characters. OCR results often give uneven spacing that needs cleaning up. I can reset the horizontal scaling and the character spacing using the "T" and "AV" options, but the width of space characters are not affected by that. The only workaround I've found for this is to copy the results to another application, and then back to Acrobat again, which seems inefficient.

  2. Make it actually work. Total waste of my time. Super disappointing. Docusign has you beat all over the place.

  3. The OCR in Acrobat Pro DC on Mac sometimes generates buggy characters. They become filled-in with black depending on how the file is viewed. The attached file contains 6 isolated examples of these problem OCR characters. They look as expected when first viewed in Acrobat Pro DC, however if you zoom in by 600% or more, they suddenly become filled-in with black. The same problem occurs when printing the file, or viewing it in a web browser even without zooming in. This bug can be especially frustrating because you often don't see the problem until after you print the file.

  4. when importing a custom png stamp that has clear background, it now presents as black and opaque instead of clear. This functionality used to work, and it now is broken. This appears to be effective for PNG or TIFF files.

  5. When creating a form that has many field that need to be formatted as "Number" I'd like to be able to select many fields at once and apply the number format property. I cannot do that now and it requires a lot of extra steps.

  6. I often convert excel files and combine with an existing pdf. I am switching to acrobat pro from omnipage. With omnipage, I would convert my selected worksheets (in a process very similar to acrobat pro), but when i would choose a file name, I would choose the existing file I wanted to combine with and it would give me the option to replace that file or combine to it in the order i wanted (beginning, end, middle). Adobe pro just gives me the option to replace.

It is my understanding the my only options with acrobat pro are to open…

  7. whenever i hover over any option in acrobat dc, very quickly a yellow pop-up appears, explaining the option. while those boxes may be very useful for novices, for me as long-time professional they are an ever growing pain.

as a graphic artist, i have to tick off hundreds of corrections/comments in every single document i get from my customer. all the time the little yellow boxes try to be helpful in telling me what i already know. they distract me and only slow me down. annoying little bastards!

i really would like to be able to turn them off for…

  9. https://github.com/adobe/pdf-embed-api-samples is basically UNUSABLE.....when you have two checkboxes ( yes and no ) ... you give them both the same name and have different 'export' values so they act like radio buttons...check one, the other un-checks....however, in this API, when you check one....all checkboxes with the same name also check.....UNUSABLE....how did this get by QA?

  10. Adobe fails to open files when a file path & name exceed MAX_PATH. Windows no longer has a hard path character limit if the LongPathsEnabled key is set in the registry. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/fileio/naming-a-file#maximum-path-length-limitation

Modern applications are adopting this new standard with the mentioned file management hooks provided by the OS.

Adobe is falling behind in this regard. Please add proper Long Path support.

  11. Being able to edit pdf on the adobe website would be great because I was dyslexic and can then change the font on my pdfs or have them read out loud for me.

  15. It would be really great if during the "Request Signatures" process, if the person(s) signing could send comments/ask questions from the requestor or other signers, prior to signing the document. This way, any clarifications can be made and documented on the Audit Report, that is included in the "signed & filed" copy.

  16. I get repeated hard-reboot crashes when creating PDFs from relatively small simple Word documents. I follow the instructions, remove and re-add the plugin, still it can take 20 minutes to get a 9-page, no images or links Word document to PDF correctly. Please fix this.
Windows 10, Acrobat Pro DC version 2020 (latest), Microsoft Word and Excel 2016.

  20. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes when compressing uncompressed objects during preflight of 2 files.

On one occasion it said unable to save. An I/O error has occurred.

Most of the time it crashes without erring.
I did change the file to a new file name and it still crashed. I got new files from my client thinking they may have been corrupt files and the same thing happens.

Acrobat DC is up to date vs 2020.013.20074
    Mac Catalina Vs. 10.15.7

This is only occurring when I preflight to my network drive and not my local machine. I found a workaround…
